Personally I like Taiwan foodies, especially if you have visited or traveled to Taiwan before.
Coming to you guys back from Johor and this time it is Fortune Pot Wan Tan Mee! This is probably something that comes in between your average coffee shop Wan Tan Mee and your Din Tai Fungs, so this is a pretty interesting concept!
You can find lots of good eateries at Taman Mount Austin in Johor Bahru and recently, we discovered another nice shop selling delicious wanton noodles. I guess this will be one of my top favourite wanton mee after
Prices slightly higher than at kopitiam, but reasonable for the ambiance, serving portion and quality bowls etc.
I was literally blown away by the sheer amount of lard oil lubricating each strand of noodle; it gave one so much satisfaction, which was further enhanced when the teeth bit into the large pieces of crispy pork lard!
Looking for light food during Friday night. Having heard that the famous "longkang siham" in Melaka has expanded its business in Johor Bahru, we decided to have a try despite we hate the traffic jam along Jalan Tebrau.
A dish we were recommended to try was their Spicy La La (RM15), which ironically was disappointing, to say the least.
I enjoy the meatballs a lot, and how the spill of the soup as you bite it.
Their menu boasts a wide selection of snacks, beverages, desserts and hearty mains, all of which are extremely pocket-friendly.
