George Town Tze Char & Craft Beer, George Town Tze Char Review, George Town Tze Char Review by Chubby Botak Koala, Craft Beer BoatQuay, Penang Food SG
Overall, it was indeed a pleasure to return to George Town to try out their new dishes.
I enjoyed the refreshing soju, cold beers (bottled craft/tap) paired with tasty tze char food. From what I've tried, it paired quite well so far.
Breathing new life into Teochew and Cantonese classics, Tien Court embraces a grand menu revamp as Master Chef Lui Wing Keung takes the reins, reinventing fresh culinary delights for the modern gourmand while staying true to its course.
Tien Court Restaurant located at Copthorne King’s has recently revamp their menu as Master Chef Lui Wing Keung takes the reins, reinventing fresh culinary delights for the fine Chinese restaurant.
Tien Court restaurant is often described as one of Singapore’s best "undiscovered" Chinese restaurants.
Tian Tian Fisherman’s Pier Seafood’s fare is decent. However it is not my first choice when I think of seafood whenever I’m at Boat Quay.
A highlight at the restaurant is their Steamlicious Steampot Sets.
天天渔港在驳船码头屹立20多年,荣获米其林指南餐盘推荐。
Enjoy local heritage food and Hong Kong’s UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage delights under one roof.
I’d recommend dunking the crispy crackers into the soup to soften it up and dipping the white fish rolls into the spicy-sweet sauce.
Quite meaty and fresh tasting, with only the slightest alkaline taste. Lacked a bit of the spicy and garlicky kick, but the freshness made up for it.
It has been awhile since my last visit to Red House Seafood, and am surprised by the standard of the food here – both the dinner set and the lunch dim sum I had were satisfying. This is one Chinese seafood restaurant worth the journey here.
this sophisticated Chinese restaurant is a fantastic dining option for an unforgettable Asian-fusion feast.
And as expected, the crab was supremely fresh and plump, making us feel extremely undeserving.
You cant’ go wrong with the seafood at Long Beach, and this new outlet is a great addition to Robertson quay if you are in the mood for some seafood.
many of the seafood at Long Beach is fished right out of tanks in front of you, so it’s fresh and sweet.
Long Beach Seafood Restaurant is a Singapore’s leading seafood restaurant and also the Creator of the Original and Best Black Pepper Crab since 1982.
Light and sweet prawn noodle soup, the traditional Singaporean style. The noodles were cooked just right, soft yet with some bite, without any alkaline taste. It came with fairly big, fresh and firm prawns, fresh pork lard, pork slices, and fish cakes etc. Comforting stuff.
If you’re looking for a homey bowl of prawn noodles with a rich history, Covent Garden Prawn Noodle might be right up your alley!
Although the prawn noodle here falls short of my expectation, they do have a loyal following evident by the long queue in front of their stall.
We were quite happy when we had these same items for takeaway. But having them served and presented on proper plates increased enjoyment by a few notches.
Overall. the Imperial Treasure takeaway food items travelled very well. If we were not so lazy and served these items on proper plates, it would have been a very authentic Chinese restaurant dining experience.
Overall, the newly opened Imperial Treasure Great World City is a nicer and improved version of the original one. It provided a great setting for our dim sum and sake lunch.
This was their braised bean curd with Chinese cabbage. Looked a lot soupier than the menu picture suggested. Also pretty good.
Tried their deep fried yellow croaker for the first time. These were really nice.
I enjoyed this Braised Luffa with Convoy ($13.90) a lot.
If you’re in the area and want something Cantonese, come here. The mains won’t disappoint.
The new casual dining concept is perfect for a quick bite, as well as a family meal with a selection of noodle, congee, rice and a la carte dishes.
Ho Fook Hei, an assuming eatery, serving delicious unpretentious food that won’t cause a hole in your pocket.
I could tell that the roe was just done from the tender texture.
While arguably a bowl with minimal effort in the form of a thin broth, instant factory bought noodles and fish that only needed scaling and slicing in a cheap rental.
Overall you can get a decently good bowl of fish soup at Yu Mei Mei Shi. It didn't taste like they have added MSG for the sweetness of the soup to complement the fresh fish slices.
The portion is priced at value-for-money pricing and the innards are very clean. Overall, the Kway Chap is decent and does not have any gamey aftertaste. For those who prefer to have a decent and hearty traditional Kway Chap at pocket-friendly pricing.
The busiest stall at Havelock Road Food Centre serving probably the cheapest kway chap by one of the oldest hawkers in Singapore.
This was delicious kuey chap. Old school and delicious.

Hot pot lovers now have even more to look forward to with the arrival of the wildly popular Uncle Fong Hotpot Restaurant in Singapore.
Food at Shou La Shou Shandong Restaurant is traditional Northern Chinese cuisine, focusing on the regions of Beijing, Sichuan, Shanghai, and Shandong.
Ambience at Shou La Shou Shandong Restaurant is Imperial oriental, exuding a classical sophisticated splendour.
All in all, it was a good meal shared with good buddies.
I liked the appetizer of lightly spiced XO sauced green beans and fried tofu.
After sampling the dishes, my initial hesitance towards them faded and I’ll even be back to try other items on their menu.
整体形象更具现代感,招牌也改为翡翠港式小厨,并推出了多道新菜。
Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen will be serving dim sum on their menu too.
I like my Mei Cai, but the seasoning was a bit heavy for my delivery. I am sure they can do better in standard and consistency.
Known for serving up Taiwanese-inspired fare, The Salted Plum will be transforming its entire first floor to a karaoke hall this Sunday.
The Salted Plum hits the sweet spot for those looking for bar grub, but with an Asian slant both value-for-money and filling. Should be a hit.

The Great World City Tim Ho Wan features an open concept kitchen built into the design scheme, while dim sum accented baskets adorn the walls.
Refreshing bowl of chrysanthemum and iced aloe vera jelly is included as the new dessert in the menu.
I don't really fancy beef noodles but I can say that they served one of the best Beef Noodles in Singapore. If chances allow, I will like to visit them again for other stuff on the menu.
