Very soon, you will be able to enjoy grilled seafood at night as Hakka Pang will switch to a ‘seafood shack’ concept called Guppies. Expect a variety of grilled fish and seafood served with different dips.

Apparently each outlet handles their soups a bit differently, and this wasn't the one that Michelin blessed. But I liked it.

The noodles were slightly clumpy but the sauce was fragrant savoury and slightly sweet, lifting the noodles. The wantons was nicely marinated and fragrant and a decent sized orb, with smooth skin, but the char siew was again a tough and papery piece.

This wanton noodle is decent but I would not go all the way there for it. However, I do not mind having it if I am in the neighborhood. I would probably just tell the auntie to omit the black sauce.

I'm still missing this place once in a while for it has brought me memories of the past. No doubt that the taste might be simple and bare basic for others, I felt that I still prefer the such old-school taste from time to time.

I was asked whether i want to have minced garlic added and as for the chilli sauce as well as vinegar and red cut chillies are available for self-service. Apparently, it seemed to be a little different in taste, the gravy seemed lighter and not as gooey. Or, perhaps, i might have tried other better Lor Mee thus i did not find it as good as it used to be. It is still a comforting taste nonetheless.

Hosay Mee Pok’s seafood mee pok is like an upgraded version of my favourite childhood hawker food as the addition of scallops and clams certainly gave the classic dish a slightly atas touch.
