The worst offense, though, is the cooking of the mee. I truly realise I was in trouble when the noodles lift on the chopsticks in a big clump, and in some parts the noodles are actually still stuck and knotted together. The taste is plodding, trudging and other similar words.

Located at the thirst quenching Club Street, Pluck is an extremely understated dining place. The exterior is simple and so is its interior, the theme or rather the lack thereof, provides you with a hint of how down to earth Pluck is.

I reckon what Zui Hong Lou needs is to polish up some of the weaker dishes, and have more stand-out big plates – there are currently only four. Would love to be surprised at what there is to come.
