The prices may be very steep and you might cry after seeing the bill, but I promise you, it is a treat you should give yourself at least once in your lifetime.
Do not leave Edge without trying their amazing Nama Chocolates!
Most of the dishes were executed well and there are plenty of classic dishes that impressed us.
It was a gastronomy lunch at Labyrinth where we experience the heritage, culture, and traditions of Singapore with such an innovative approach by Chef LG Han. The service is impeccable too!
Michelin starred or not, I applaud the guts of Chef Li putting modern sin cuisine on the table. It is not easy getting creative with food that we Singaporeans have known all our lives to be cheap, affordable and tasty.
Overall the meal was pleasant and I did enjoy but I’m sure there are even more interesting dishes that I’ve yet to try.
The stall may looks unassuming but you can guarantee quality and reasonable priced Peranakan food here.
The food is simple, reasonably priced, no frills and authentic home cooked style.
You won’t be able to find better peranakan food at this price range anywhere else in Singapore.
These are just a couple of dim sum Chef Shen would order again in a heart beat.
We liked all the items on the Kai Garden Set Lunch menu but especially the Peking duck, the glutinous rice and coconut puree. The lunch at $58++ per person was not cheap but we felt it was fair value. We had delectable quality food and we enjoyed the meal.
嘉苑(Kai Garden)位于滨海广场相当僻静的一角,开张三年来周边餐馆起起落落,嘉苑靠着一批熟客的支持,以及主厨深厚的功底,稳扎稳打。
I have to say that I’m pretty impressed with the overall experience, especially for such a small setup.
Come make your reservations today to enjoy modern Singapore cuisine at The Quarters!
Overall, it is interesting to see Chef Deming take us through this multi-sensory gastronomic journey.
With a new focus on char-grilled steaks, Ash & Char aims to be the place to serve you good quality steaks at affordable prices.
Desserts aren't it's strong suit here at Ash and Char. So don't expect to be bowled over.
The versatile venue is perfect for business luncheons, dinner dates and even after-work drinks.
I finally got around to trying the other two bowls at Chalong, like that sous-vide roast beef above. It tasted like it looked: very tender, moist, and refreshing.
That pork jowl above was impressively tender and moist, making this a delight to eat. The portions were small (especially when one chooses a salad base rather than rice), but that's probably a good thing as long as I have the will power to keep myself from ordering a second bowl.
Try one of their latest additions to the Charcoal Grill Menu, the Sea Bass Bowl ($17).
It tasted like it looked: very tender, moist, and refreshing.
Chalong is one awesome joint that I highly recommend. The charcoal grilled meat bowls were delicious and the friendly staff left a good impression too. I will definitely be making my way back again soon!
Subscribe: [NEW] Chalong is one of the first shops that opened at the basement 2 of Tanjong Pagar Centre, which houses quite a number of F&B right next to Tanjong MRT station. The kiosk with 4 seats serves up charcoal grilled meats bowls, added with egg and Yamagata Haenuki Japanese rice. ...
I will definitely be back to try more.
Overall a pleasant experience and I wouldn’t mind eating there again as the food is quite good!
The interior looks spacious and comfy with some interesting art installation on the pillar.
This place i will definitely come back again..don’t mind to take this mini kaiseki set again, alaos to try the weekday special & lunch specials.
A contemporary fusion restaurant hidden in Icon Village.
All in all, Maru’s lunch menu might please the office crowd around the Central Business District.
I enjoyed the bara chirashi at Sushiro and wouldn’t mind going back again if ever I happen to be in the area – whether I will go down all the way to the Thomson area again specifically to have this, I am not sure.
Wafuken takes pride in prepping food from scratch as much as they can. Their main cooking method used is sous vide (pronounced su-veed), it translates to the process of cooking in a vacuum-sealing bag, speaking of healthy food with minimum seasoning!
I liked the inclusion of Chawanmushi, not often found elsewhere, but included protein in the form of steamed egg, and some wobbly smooth texture in the mix.
Kenboru offers premium proteins and ingredients that are super tasty!
Even though they’ve yet to release all of their dishes, the current items on Kenboru’s menu are already tasty, wholesome, and healthy for your wallet.
While my expectation wasn’t high given the affordable pricing, I was pleasantly surprised that the texture of the Bao was moist and fluffy at first bite.
Overall, BAOBAO’s concept is one which we find interesting, though we are not particularly sure if it would spark off a Bao-craze just yet considering the lukewarm response to Full of Luck Bar’s Bao Bar; the latter being a spin-off as the local answer to Hong Kong’s Little Bao.
Singaporean Chef Justin Quek was among the initial group of award-winning celebrity chefs to set up restaurants in Marina Bay Sands (MBS). The elite group included Mario Batali, Daniel Boulud, Wolfgang Puck, Santi Santamaria, Guy Savoy and Tetsuya Wakuda. Sky on 57 helmed by Chef Justin Quek closed in June 2017. About a year later, he introduced two new concepts at The Shoppes at MBS – Chinoiserie and JustIN.
Barnacles at Customs House is a popular after-work haunt that offers a medley of gourmet grub as well as a stellar view of the Marina Bay skyline.
I would recommend diners to come off peak because when the store was packed, it got rather claustrophobic and some orders seemed to have got mixed up.
This local eatery has a menu that can be described as either mixed or all-over-the-place.
The abundance of vegetable make me feel like i am eating healthy. The sashimi are really fresh too.
My fav is the mushroom & black truffle cream with its strong earthy truffle taste and the avocado & feta for its creaminess and savoury taste.
The pistachio creme is not overly sweet. This nutty dessert is definitely a treat!
Come here if you like freshly made pasta and if you’re up for a little comfort food but with a twist.
Prices remain very affordable, with most items priced at $5 – $7.
