Chef Bjorn and the Artichoke Singapore crew are serving up incredible Middle-Eastern fusion food and stunning cocktails, moves to River Valley
We noticed some good looking hummus and eggplant sitting in the countertop's glass case at Artichoke, so we grabbed a plate of each, along with other tasty treats like their white beans and fennel as well as a smoked falafel salad.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
A popular place for Greek food in Singapore, Bakalaki Greek Taverna is a large Greek restaurant in the River Valley Road / Mohamed Sultan area. Here are some of the food that we tried during a repeat visit.
Bakalaki really is better visited in a large group, when one can share all sorts of stuff, like all of this nicely grilled seafood, not to mention a whole fish that they grilled and filleted for us, following a bunch of meze. I still can't confidently say whether I prefer these guys or Blu Kouzina, but the brightly lit decor is a nice setting for a business lunch.
The space is light and airy and inviting. The food is even better!
I've heard about these guys for many years, but admittedly never realized that they served Greek food until today (10 Dempsey Road #01-20, 6875-0872).
The food's classic, well executed and had soul, so I'd say it is a good option together with Fotia.
good family dinner, not exactly my kind of food, still quite enjoyable dishes…

Blu Kouzina Siglap Review - Greek Restaurant located at 907 E Coast Rd Siglap offering up Mediterranean food of really high standards
Great Service and Amazing Dishes. We especially enjoyed the Flavourful Chargrilled Spanish Octopus, Slow cooked Iberico Pork Presa and Mey Selection Grass-Fed Black Angus Tenderloin. Their cocktails are too good to miss!
Artemis is a contemporary Mediterranean-inspired rooftop restaurant in Singapore’s CBD, using fresh, organic and sustainable produce synonymous with the flavours of coastal Spain, Southern France, Italy and Greece. Artemis’s signature wood-fired meat and seafood dishes are enjoyed 40 floors above group atop the CapitaGreen building on the corner of Cecil and Cross Streets overlooking the Marina Bay cityspace.
Together with the delicious cuisine that are carefully thought out on flavors and presentation, this place is one of the best dining spots I've ever visited in my life and I will definitely be back here for special occasions.
Zorba, which serves Greek food, is having a summer promo ($88/pax, with a minimum of 5 pax) till 31 July. If there are more people in.
Overall, the best part of our dinner at Zorba The Greek Taverna in Clarke Quay was the location. The view of the Singapore River and the boats make a great back drop for dinner. It was a weekday and we had the place all to ourselves, so there was no concern over social distancing.
A must-try, the Grilled Octopus ($39) was perfection.
For some time now, when it came to Greek cuisine in Singapore, my go-to has always been Blu Kouzina, which has been operating out of their beautiful space at Dempsey.
Crazy good, we ordered another round of pita.
Their greek yogurts are made from scratch and these smoothies and yogurt bowls are a must try!
Each souvlaki grain bowl is scrumptious in its own right, and what stands out is really its kebab!
Overall, Nostimo is a spot that we felt seemed to have fell a little short of expectations.
Ambience at Yeero Gyro By Pistachio is modern, casual, and functional.
There’s no questioning the food’s authenticity when most of the ingredients are imported from artisanal producers in Greece.
I suppose some may not be used to the food offered by Ergon Singapore, however to me it provide a good alternative.
I wished there was a wider selection of hot food though. Otherwise, lovely, chill-out vibes.
