Food is priced affordably and the portion is generous. It also can gather big family or groups dining. So if hunger pangs in the night, I will know where to go now.
Service was very good, and when they seated us they told us they had a Thai chef and we should try the Thai food.
Dry Laksa with linguine, shrimps, hard-boiled egg, fish cake and topped with crunchy tau pok. Love this so much!
The mutton meat and ribs were just slightly gamey, fragrant and seriously fall off the bone tender, but with that bit of nice chewiness. The ribs had that slight bit of fattiness for additional flavour and texture. Good stuff, just a bit gentler and probably less oily than the sup kambing I remember from Commonwealth Drive.
A family business established since 1955, the stall specialises in Soup Kambing (mutton soup). Currently jointly operated by second generation Mr Hajamaideen...
Brain, tongue or penis in your soup? We don’t usually associate these parts with food, but at Haji M Abdul Razak, these dishes are what keeps people coming b...
All in all, we enjoyed both cakes a lot even though they were a tad too sweet so if you’re here with your friends, get a few slices to share otherwise it can get really sickly after a while.
I did find the prices a bit exorbitant, but a percentage of their sales goes to Muhammadiyah Home Welfare.
Totally packed, even with reservations we still had to wait for a table
Rahim Muslim Food takes it to a whole other level with its Extra Special Mee Rebus that is packed with indulgent ingredients.
Imagine thick, chunky, peanut sauce cascading over thick, smooth sweet potato gravy, blanketing boiled yellow noodles. These were noodles that took me beyond happy to joy unlimited.
Most customers add extra chicken onto their plate, may be worth a try, but I could barely finish this. The noodles were a tad over cooked as well though.
Here's the smashed duck from Dapur Penyet. The meat was moist and easy to debone with a knife and fork. And I loved the little fried tofu. But I really wish that the sambal were spicier. They said that the belacan and mercan versions were the most potent but I was hoping for more.
Granted, there wasn't much meat to pluck off of that pomfret, but it was slightly smoky and went nicely with rice and that slightly sweet dark sauce drizzled on top. The skin was pretty tasty too, but unfortunately most of those bones weren't edible.
Overall, Dapur Penyet serves Indonesian style of comfort food. It is delicious and it will satisfy your Indonesian food cravings. Cheers!
Julaiha Muslim Restaurant is an Indian-Muslim eatery located along Macpherson road. They are open 24/7 so this makes a good supper spot to go if you're nearby! They are located somewhat in the middle of Tai Seng and Macpherson MRT station.
The prata was fresh, unoily and carried with it a nice doughy fragrance, although it had only the faintest crisp. Nice, but I’m not sure that it is Food King Good.
I will be back for the prata and, of cause, the Indian rojak!
The Halal Corner launches two new spicy fusion pasta dishes that will surely entice thrill- and heat-seekers alike!
One thing I have to say is, the portions are pretty big so it’s pretty good value for money.

仁当虎虾王(King Tiger Prawn Rendang - Rendang Udang Galah,$28),奶香浓郁的仁当虾,以中火煮到黄姜和椰奶融为一体,收汁熬出浓郁香味。
The restaurant was kind enough to offer a special promotional price just for our dear readers!
Since there are several well-known nasi lemak stalls in Changi village, including Changi Famous Nasi Lemak, International Nasi Lemak, and Mizzy Corner, I believe that many people associate Changi village with nasi lemak.
Very enjoyable. Many of the items that were included in the platter were made to go well with rice.
Rice is fairly similar to "Famous Nasi Lemak"
I finally made it out to Yi Zun tonight (60 Joo Chiat Road #01-08, 6909-9287), and it was much better than Salar.
The only thing that I didn't like about this bowl was the beef, which was too lean and dry, especially compared to Xibu Mahua. But I'm more than happy to eat here again.
I rate the beef noodle as OK. I won’t mind coming back to try their other noodle dishes.
Nasi Padang is like the Malay equivalence for the Chinese mixed vegetables rice and nasi ambeng, with origins from Indonesia, is similar but...
Food at Coba Coba is halal-certified Indonesian cuisine, focused on Nasi Padang or Nasi Ambeng. With a selection of over 15 dishes that change daily, there's sufficient reason for repeat visits.
Prices are comparable to other such stalls, budget about SGD $11 per person for a meal here.
Award winning Elfuego at Jewel Changi is a dining concept by local western food chain COLLIN’S, offering European cuisine in inviting setting
I find Collins quite a nice affordable option when I want simple meat, veg and carbo. So I was interested when I went with my friend to El Fuego.
The quality of their fried birds and crunchy fried chicken skin were still good though.
At Whampoa Market, I heard about this stall that has Ginger Chicken. I wasn’t sure if it would be dry, how oily or greasy it was, etc. but I went for it.
This Halal fried chicken rice at Whampoa Market serving crispy outside, juicy inside fried chicken enveloped with aromatic spices and mild ginger heat rivals KFC, Arnold's and their ubiquitous Hainanese counterparts.
My last visit to Icon Village was pretty recent, when I reviewed Two Men Bagel House . Back then, I noticed its next door neighbor, Bara I...
To be sure, I like lemongrass, but it dominated everything, including the basil chicken, as well as the sambal.
Oiishii Corner’s halal Japanese fare is tasty and comforting
The chicken curry katsu ramen and inari ramen was okay as well with the ramen not being the soggy kind. Pretty well-cooked to me.
The Dim Sum Place in The Centrepoint is a halal-certified establishment with a rather extensive menu and the dim sum is of good standard.
It was delicious. I loved everything on that plate, be it the tender coconut chicken or the firm tofu in the sambal goreng, or the fresh bean sprouts in the urap, as well as the eggplant balado. It was spicy, rich, and refreshing too. I just realized that HJH Maimunah also serves this; I really should make my way there to try theirs.
If you are here, I highly recommend the Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Dice Rice!
Overall, I was very satisfied with our meal at GLC Restaurant, especially with the Salted Egg Chicken Dice Rice.
89.7 Supper Club Pte Ltd is a halal food court located at Changi V and Geylang East. They serve a variety of cuisines which is good for Muslims considering how limited halal food is.
