DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru Review
As mentioned above, the DoubleTree Hotel JB is in a great location for downtown attractions, shopping and transport. We could walk to Komtar in about 5 minutes and there are also some nice looking restaurants within moments if you want more choices for food.
For those of us who like spacious hotel rooms, you’ll be pleased to know that the guest rooms here are quite spacious, and this King Executive Room was no different. There was plenty of space for 2 large luggages to be laid out and still prance about.
We decided to splurge a bit more for a one-night staycation at our closest neighboring country last month and the choice we made was Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel; a five-star outfit that might seem far from the city center yet with a great advantage if your stay is on a Sunday!

The moment I step into the room, there is a sense of familiarity. I’ve stayed in a similar room here but on the ground level and I would pull back the curtains for a view of the garden while I tap away on my laptop.
Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast is a fun stay if you’re looking for a local beach resort attached to a waterpark that puts an emphasis on hard rock. I had a nice time there. Go for a short getaway, but do go with the mindset that you’ll be rocking out in the day and possibly partying in the evening and you may have a good stay.
As always… I had a fantastic time with so many many things to do at yet another Hard Rock Hotel. The one at Desaru Coast really gives out a different vibe to the ones I’ve been to — I guess one of the biggest difference is the missing Hard Rock Cafe! However, this hotel makes up for it with the other delicious dining choices available. Oh, and the pool is also much smaller without Hard Rock’s signature sandy pools and children’s water entertainment (that could be because of the bigger water park next door)!
Bilik kitorang menghadap ke arah pantai buatan di waterpark Hard Rock Hotel so setiap masa akan dengar bunyi ombak buatan. Kalau nak usha view dekat waterpark, lepak dekat sofa ni then tolak je tingkap kayu tu.

Bilik agak besar. Facilities tip top. Bersih dan wangi. Bantal, tilam semua terbaik. Memang best !
The twin beds in multiple shots; thankfully, their width appeared to be alright for two persons and i can't deny i was enjoying my sleep that night.
On the right would be the Suasana Suites Cafe; those who stay in the hotel section would dine at the cafe for their daily breakfast. Given its height, it's granted you would get a good view of JB city skyline.
What is the difference between Standard Room and an Executive Room? Obvioulsy - it's concept, of course. Standard Room provide accomodation with or without additional "extra" while Executive Room or Business Suite definition caters for accommodation per specific requirements; for dining, working and relaxation.
Executive Suites ni ada banyak pilihan jika korang nak stay. Bagi Sis yang datang berdua dengan anak, Sis amik aje yang 1 bedroom, so dalam bilik menempatkan satu buah katil King. Tapi jika korang datang family, lebih dari 4 orang, korang boleh amik Executive Suites 2 bedroom atau 3 bedroom. Yang itu memang sangat luas dan puashati!!.
At the end of the day, it is all about family staycation. We know there are many other resorts at Desaru Coast, we are happy with The Westin Desaru.

We had a pretty good stay at the Thistle Johor Bahru recently when we were over there….
Kami menginap di Thistle Johor Bahru! Dekat dengan Pantai Lido, Danga Bay, Training Center JDT and nak ke Senibong dalam 20 minit berkereta. ZZ Sup Tulang dalam 8 minit je. Let's check it out apa yang best kat Thistle ni. Oh, aku tak include breakfast kali ni.
Namun secara keseluruhan, I really enjoyed staying in Thistle Johor Bahru walaupun saya tak dapat feel 5 stars vibes itu. Entahlah! Seperti ada sesuatu yang missing disitu. Feel nya tidak seperti yang saya dapati sewaktu menginap di Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur, Alila Bangsar dan St. Regis KL sebelum ini.

Impiana Hotel Senai is the first business hotel in the rapidly developing town and is set to complement the demand of hospitality services as well as to cater to the needs of business and leisure travelers.
As usual, KSL Mall is a must visit for the massages and earlier this year; I even booked a staycation at KSL Hotel and Resort!
So sampai KSL hotel, tanya juga masa di Lobby. Berapa harga semalam. Then katanya Rm150 semalam. Untuk Superior Room. Rasanya laaaa.. Cik mimi tak tau sangta jenis jenis bilik. Haha.. Then kami inform nak keluar esoknya pukul 6petang. Katanya tambahan Rm70. So total Rm220.
Our Superior Twin room is rather spacious and comes with a Queen size bed and a single bed. The interior is a bit dated but the cleanliness was overall satisfying.
Boleh dijadikan pilihan kalau berkunjung ke bandaraya ini.
Overall facilities di sini kira OK lah but due to covid ada limitation sikit here and there.
Where to stay in JB for a short getaway? How about Capri by Fraser Johor Bahru, a hotel that I highly recommend. Here are the pros and cons.
#3 Swimming Pool. Swimming pool yang mengadap Singapore sememangnya memberi satu kelainan kepada mek walaupun mengadap bangunan Singapore pada pinggir selat sahaja. Kolam renang ada dua, kanak-kanak dan juga dewasa. Pada masa mek ke sana tak crowded sangat and memang best lah menyelam di kolam renang Berjaya Waterfront Hotel Johor Bahru. Sambil anak mandi kolam, mek boleh ‘nap’ kat atas kerusi rehat.
Berjaya Waterfront Hotel Johor Bahru is located at Stulang Laut, JOHOR BAHRU . Beside the Zon, Duty free shopping mall. And Only few min.walking distance to The Zon ferry terminal ( JB- BATAM)
Masuk je ke dalam bilik, nampak suasana selesa dan kemas yang masih mengekalkan konsep hiasan klasik dengan hiasan warna cerah yang pastinya memberi keselesaan kepada pengunjung dengan keluasan 30 meter persegi.

Bilik kategori Standard menjadi penginapan saya dan NI ni memang cukup selesa bertemakan Local Love dengan hiasan lukisan dinding yang memaparkan hasil kesenian tempatan.
Overall, TROVE is a clean and value for money place for a short stay. It is great for business travellers too. Location isn't the best in my opinion but what's lacking is the service. It is a hotel with great potential and to be honest, I really wouldn't mind giving this place a second chance to get things up and running.
Oh... I am glad to note that TROVE is a smoke free hotel - one of my pet peeves is stale tobacco smell in the carpet, curtains and bed linen. No such issues at TROVE.
Kebersihan pantai juga terjaga. Tidak kotor dengan sampah sarap. Kalau korang jalan-jalan petang atau pagi ke di tepi pantai, memang nyaman sekali. Angin bertiup segar dan kalau nak piknik pun boleh.

Sampai sebegitu sekali Maha boleh huraikan tentang keselesaan dalam bilik yang mereka sediakan kat hotel ni. Hari Maha datang tu dapat bilik tidur Standard Twin tapi kat sini mereka ada banyak jenis bilik dari bilik yang Maha tidur tu kemudian ke bilik Standard Queen untuk pasangan suami isteri, lepas tu ada bilik Superior King. Bagi yang datang dengan anak-anak ada juga Family Suite.
The swimming pool is large and although it doesn’t have any fancy design, we still enjoyed our leisure swim with its airy spacious setting.
Hari kedua dimulakan dengan breakfast dan selepas itu kita pusing sekitar pulau besar untuk cari spot gambar yang best untuk instagram. Dekat Pulau Besar ni susah sikit untuk kita cari makan so oleh itu aku amik terus package makan lebih mudah. So far makanan yang disediakan kat resort ni memang sedap okey. Pada sebelah petang pulak kita start aktiviti snorkeling. Pakej snorkeling boleh ambil dekat hotel sahaja. Harga dalam Rm80 sahaja.
Other than cycling, Bayu Lestari Island Resort also offers jungle trekking and beach volleyball. Should you want to do some kayaking or snorkeling, you can either enquire at the reception or cycle to the nearest facility and enquire there.
The cost per person is RM430 (3D2N) which includes boat transfer, accommodation and full board meal. There are a few suites that you can choose from depending on how many people you're travelling with.
Aku love gila dengan view dari balcony ni. Walaupun takde pantai tapi view arah laut tu boleh nampak terus ke Singapore.

I slept extremely well on that thick mattress with just the right firmness. The room was spanking clean and smelled fresh.
