MYR 8 nett. No sugar in the drink for me at all so the tea was a bit bitter. I chose mutton curry as the meat and kept half of it and half portion of the rice for another day. I like the spicy pumpkin dish which is not that spicy. The cabbage dish was ok with a tiny bit of off taste but I finished it.
The taste was rather bland and the curry was so light, not much of spices used or lack of seasoning.
MyBanana also does roti with a porky twist, ie their new Roti bacon cheese. Highly recommended - the roti was crisp with melting, oozy cheese and bacon bits in the centre. Simply awesome, I think I've found my new favorite roti!
The Mutton Varuval was good but not as good as I remembered it. The fish curry gravy that accompanied my meal was very tart, but in a good way.
There you have it, our banana leaf lunch. I was really enjoying my food.
The food was yummy. There were four different vegetables that came with the banana leaf rice meal. I especially was a fan of the tauhu sambal. It was spicy with a tad of sweetness. I loved it and clearly others did too because by the time I went for my second serving, it was finished
For those who frequently travel along LDP, you should notice a rojak and cendol truck parked at the side of the road leading into Taman Megah. Judging by the number of customers I have seen camping there, its popularity can certainly match Cendol & Rojak Mustaffa in Section 17. Despite knowing its existence for years, it was only until the last weekend that we decided to give it a try.
