Makansutra Gluttons Bay recently launched a hugely successful $19 nett all-you-can-eat zhi char buffet.
In any case, should I get craving for it, I know I must sacrifice sleep once more.
No doubt that Mr & Mrs Mohgan Prata is popular and known for its crispiness, but I find that there are still better Prata around. Nonetheless, the service rendered is friendly and I do not mind making a return trip to Joo Chiat if my friends are keen on it.
It has been awhile since I had Mr and Mrs Moghan’s Prata. In fact the last time was at their old location at Crane Rd. Now at Tin Yeang Coffee Shop on the corner of Joo Chiat Rd and Dunman Rd, it was time I visited again.
No matter your preferred food, The Line has got you covered with their wide spread of exquisite nosh and themed buffets.
The highlight of the buffet is, of course, the durians.
The Canton Fair buffet has enough to satisfy some discerning taste buds.
Carousel Buffet Review 2022
The rice was a bit mushy too, but everything was otherwise tasty, not to mention affordable.
That's their mushroom mutter. Sliced canned mushrooms with peas in masala(?) gravy. Not bad. Had a bit of heat.
Loved those toasty chunks of cottage cheese.
You have heard all about the Murtabak Wars and Zam Zam is one of the best. Zam Zam is right next to Victory and Al-Tasneem. All offer basically the same menu and there are raging debates about whi…
Zam Zam's nasi goreng mutton uses diced mutton cubes. Meat was nicely scorched but dried up.
They've a nice creamy kurma on the menu too. A good rendition but definitely not the best around. The mutton was a dusky pink and fork tender.
Overall, it was a gastronomic experience with new perspective of Indian-French cuisine.
Many moments I thought I was enjoying French fine dinning 4-course meal.
Punjab Grill has a USA Cheese Menu which featured a four course end to end meal of dishes with cheese.
I am glad that my first experience with Punjabi cuisine is at Punjab Grill; it may be my first but it won’t be my last! As the flavours at Punjab Grill are not overly spicy, the food here will suit a large array of palates.
Service overall was professional and polite, being able to explain the dishes with clarity, though they could look short-handed at times. A worthy try if you are keen to experience higher end Indian dining in Singapore.
Overall the food at Zaffron Kitchen East Coast was very good. Some of the drinks available include teh tarik and teh halia.
I'm pretty sure that this small chain has nothing to do with that now-defunct Zaffran place.
Most of the time I eat Indian food, I go for the quick and not so expensive choice. This time, a friend and I decided to head to sample Michelin Bib Gourmand Zaffron.
Looking for Ramadan buffets for Iftar? You won’t want to miss out the Ramadan BBQ buffet at Atrium Restaurant at Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium. Not when the buffet is going at 50% discount for adults! Dinner costs $55++ (U.P. $110) from Sunday – Thursday, and $64++ (U.P. $128) on Fridays and Saturdays.
There are over 40 items on the menu including fresh seafood, appetizers ,sashimi, local delights, Malay classics, and many more.
Atrium Restaurant serves all my favourite local food.
I wolfed these down pretty easily with all of their spices and chutney, but they definitely weren't as pillowy as the big ones from Murugan, nor were they as rich as Murugan's ghee-coated ones either. The porcelainware and utensils here meant that prices were slightly higher too.
Their vegetable dishes on the side were delicious. I'll leave the description as that because it's never easy nor accurate with the usual array of adjectives. There are simply too many flavours going on.
Overall, I enjoyed the dining experience at Nalan. It was an eye opener, especially on Indian Vegetarian Cuisine.
I'd still rather go to Usman though.
Haleem from Bismillah Biryani. This one wasn't as citrusy as Usman's, perhaps because one was supposed to squeeze the lime on themselves. But those awesome fried shallots on top made up for it, helping me to wolf this delicious paste down in seconds.
Oh man, that was delicious. After just one bite I had to interrupt the lunch conversation today just to say how amazing this was.
Springleaf Prata Place serves Indian food plus the most incredible Pratas. They are Halal caterers that can cook Prata at your site.
ok prata place.
The prata is packed with savoury richness that hits me like tank, complemented by the crunchy prawns in it.
We ordered seconds of those because they were that good. I was extremely happy with this meal.
Overall, we are delighted to have tried the food at AWADH.
Food at Awadh is North Indian cuisine, focused on the regional speciality of royal Awadhi cuisine. Over 120 spices feature across dishes in the wide-ranging menu, with spices being painstakingly hand ground and blended.
Make sure to give the Tandoori Chicken ($20) a go, the exterior, charred with wisps of smoke is tender and carry a hint of spiced yogurt with every bite.
21 reviews of The Banana Leaf Apollo "Authentic Indian food. Served with class and finesse. All the dishes are very well made and whats the best if that its free flow of papadoms(an indian cracker) All their dishes are reasonably priced.…
Overall, I like The Banana Leaf Apolo's spicy food, casual ambiance, clean surroundings and fast service. This Indian type of cuisine and style of eating is something I wish could be present in Manila.
Depending on preference I suppose, you will find your favourite drink at Flying Monkey’s New Cocktail Menu.
Overall, lunch at the Flying Monkey was an interesting experience.
Truth be told, I am no indian sweets fan, infact I find them way too sweet for comfort. The sweetness that hits like a wave of tsunami is unforgettable and I probably find more solace in their lassis than sweets.
The pratas' golden-brown exteriors glistened under the fluorescent lights of the market. Breaking into them, I was immediately struck by the perfect balance of fluffiness and crispiness—a testament to the skill of the prata makers at Rahmath.
Situated in the bustling Toa Payoh Vista Market, this eatery has garnered quite a reputation, thanks to numerous glowing reviews circulating the blogosphere. Intrigued by the hype, I decided to pay a visit and see what the fuss was all about.
Even though the stall is opened until 4pm, it is available up to 130pm. After that the stall sells mee goreng. So if you want to try their prata, be early.
I can totally understand my colleague's obsession with the roti pratas from this stall; it was one of the best kosong prata I had, with the enjoyable crispiness matched with the size of it.
Will I Return Again? Yes, to crispy and shiok kosong prata.
Another good place for a prata meal especially if you are after thin and crispy prata.
I do enjoy North Indian food and having said that, such cuisine is not very common in the malls and I do not mind making a return for other dishes.
Quite a good price for such delicious food. We will surely return for more.
The comfortable, simply furnished restaurant has a nice casual ambiance which I like for everyday meals. The reasonable prices are affordable too.
