Come at lunch with less crowd. It has some affordable lunch from RM 7.90 to RM 15+. The Curry here is really flavourful, one if my favorite place for affordable Indian food. We love the Masala tea..
Love having lunch here, nice meals (affordable) with less crowd.
Not queue on weekday lunch. Quality and tasty food.
In the Indian food culture, Vadai or "Vada" are often eaten as 小吃 snacks or as an accompaniment to another dish.
For rm$20.50, on top of my banana leaf was 3 vegetables, and the extras were just the squid and fish fillet ball; taste good but just a bit pricey for today's lunch.
The chicken varuval had plenty of flavor and plus the meaty pieces I received, it was da bomb. The cutlets were tasty. It was crispy on the outside and dense on the inside. There was a nice blend between fish and mash potato. Nice flavors. Overall a yummy meal.
The restaurant offers Shisha as well. The place likely a typical hang-out location for students from colleges nearby as it opens all-day-night long with free wifi and a huge outdoor-seatings area.
Freshly fried Tenggiri Fish was yum. Deep fried till crispy golden, the fish was moist on the inside and Golden brown on the outside. Food has the authentic Indian taste like the meal I had in India. Thanks for the recommendation Cutiepie, Must try place in Subang Jaya!!
Pork free: Yes, Mutton, Beef, Chicken, Fish
Restoran Sri Melur Jaya has been serving Roti Canai since 1995, and way back in 2014, their SS19 branch was voted as the Best Roti Canai Joint in the Klang Valley, as voted by the public for The Star People’s Food Awards.
The usually packed Sri Melur at USJ 17 looks eerie today with chairs all stacked-up to avoid customers sitting down.
蛋煎餅 Roti Telur is an obvious variant of the Indian origin 印度煎餅 Roti Canai (Roti Chenai or Roti Cane or Roti Prata).
I do like the dishes as well as the Teh Tarik better than "Sri Melur Jaya" across the street in USJ 17.
The Tosai is typical standard taste.
No difference but the portion is quite big for me.
The usual banana leaf rice is still appetizing as before with 3 vegetables, fried karela chips bitter gourd, spinach, and cucumber cubes.
A very bad experience from a somewhat famous Nasi Kandar from Penang. Super disappointed.
The newly renovated "Kayu Nasi Kandar" USJ 10, looks much better now.
Surely, the one described by Wikipedia sounds more interesting and probably taste much better!
Potato Masala and Chicken Peratal was damn delicious. Tender and juicy chicken is irresistible with rich spices flavour. Besides that, I loved their freshness and quality of the food. It cost me @ RM 11.90 for both foods and drink.
The restaurant only opens for lunch until 3pm and then dinner until 11pm. I do think that it still opens from 3-6pm but serves snacks menu like the one I am having.
Today back to try their Roti Telur, with nice thick Dhal and super spicy sambal.
the shop not only offers Pasembur but also Mee Goreng, Indian Bread and other Indian recipes.
This restaurant is spacious, clean, tidy, and brightly lighted.
JM Bariani House offers Briyani rice with either Beef, Mutton, or Chicken. Prices of different variants are from rm$15.10 to rm$23. You can also order different dishes separately.
Today, back to sample the rm$7 "丹戎叻沙 Laksa Tanjung"; the Asam Laksa bowl comes with strong and thick asam laksa gravy with lots of chili, onions, cucumber and pineapple cubes and super spicy.
A likable mixture, but the restaurant does offer a good variety of dishes both red and white meat as well as vegetable choices.
The Chef recommended the Butter Chicken and their "Cottage Cheese" Panners, generally the dishes are for 2-3 people, perhaps well worth trying next time!
Ali's Corner offers Malay Nasi Lemak which is not too bad, many workers come here for Nasi Lemak take-away.
"塔哩印度料理 Indian Thaili" or better known to Malaysians as "香蕉葉飯 Banana Leaf Rice" came to Malaysia through the migration of Indians to Malaysia.
Mee is slightly dyer compare to others, but topped with sotong, brings up the flavour if you mix everything well. I order mine extra spicy and the taste is just right to my liking. Comparing with the normal spicy, mine taste much better. I would want to add extra sotong for my next visit. Slightly chewy and soft, curry spices is just right fragrant.
Definitely fresh YTF here, curry sauce was also good. A great find at Restoran Unlimited at SS14.
Overall, this is a fine spot for some morning fuel and the food is standard pricing, costing from RM 2 to RM 5 depending on what you order.
Surely I should have tried the Cow Milk coffee varieties here, next time and that perhaps include their Banana Leaf Rice which is their Signature dish!
Excellent tender and mildly spiced chicken varuval, nice!
