Overall, I give this place a huge thumbs up. The food is good and the experience is really like a proper rustic menya.
This place still remain the same quality. The dry noodle option is probably the best. It is pretty crowded nowadays, and parking in Sri Petaling is quite difficult.
Nagoya Don (Large), 13.50 ringgit The rice bowl was yummy. It was a combination of egg + seaweed + onions + minced pork + rice and several other ingredients. I enjoyed it except for the fact that I made a mistake by ordering the BIG option as oppose to the SMALL. Why? Well, lets just say the ingredients on the top wasn’t enough to reach the bottom? Despite it having a good mixing – the bottom part was basically mainly just rice. So, with the Small option, I think it would have been an equal ratio of top to bottom and after a good mixing, you would still be able to get a decent mixture of the ingredients as oppose to just the rice.
Besides coffee and cakes, 103 Workshop has a full-sized kitchen serving everything from pastas to burgers.
A comfy place that you can fill your stomach with japanese don and brunch set, a place where you get to enjoy a nice cup of hand-brewed coffee. A resting station for an individual or a group of people.
Perfect place for new coffee drinkers because of the beans that they use are quite light bodied, good place to chill but the air conditioning may give you a frost bite. If you are hungry, they serve food as well rather than just cakes only.
Sushi Zento's 'Early Bird Set Lunch Promotion' is offer a set combination whereby you can mix and match your preferred 2 mains. All set served with rice, miso soup, mini salad and fruit. The early bird set lunch cost RM17.90 (11.30am to 12.59pm) and RM19.90 (1pm to 2.15pm).
Sushi Zento is a Japanese cuisine that offers quick meals under a leisure hut for consumers. Operating under Edoichi group, most of their Japanese restaurants are being well-known cum sought after by countless groups of Japanese cuisine goers. Among them are Edo Ichi, Edo Sushi, Hana and Azuma.
For the love of Japanese foods, we were back at our favourite Japanese restaurant Sushi Zento, Sri Petaling outlet to satisfy our craving. We had the opportunity to sample a selection of new menu items introduced by the restaurant recently. Here are what we had the other day.
Ordered pork tomahawk ramen. Should have shown the whole pork tomahawk instrad of letting part of it be hidden in the broth.
Pork Katsu Curry Ramen, 26.80 ringgit I like them Japanese curry and so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise that I loved this dish. It sure did come with plenty of that thick, flavorful gravy. The fried pork katsu was crispy, chewy, provided a contrasting texture to an overall soupy dish. Once the katsu gets dipped into that curry, it gets a lil soggy but it sure was delicious. There was a nice portion of ramen, some pickled vegetables and potato cubes. Overall a good wholesome dish.
Overall, I find this shop nothing to shout about, as social media did build my expectation up. Hence visiting with a certain expectation is bad. Maybe will give them another chance few months later. Believe there are a lot better ramen in KL over this. (but again, it is fusion – so cant expect much)
食物~选择多样化,而且仲提供一般日本料理难得一见嘅食物,例如:河豚,龙虾,马肉等等,食物唔普通,理所当然价钱唔普通,属于中上,但系可以尝试一下
Overall, this Japanese restaurant is serving Japanese cuisine to those who doesn't really know how a true Japanese cuisine really taste like. It is a horrible experience especially for those who had been to Japan before. If they would want to survive, they need to start getting fresher stocks and serve buffet style instead.
Sourakuya serves authentic soulful Japanese food, imports fresh seafood occasionally and frequented by Japanese expats.
Tonkotsu-Shoyu Ramen – RM21.20 The noodles was springy and the broth was really good too. Very flavoursome and not too oily, it’s like having ramen from a Japanese home. Their chasu (pork belly) was very succulent too.
I went for the Kuro Ajitama Chasu Ramen (RM20) - ie the black garlic pork soup ramen, which comes with spring onion, black fungus, egg, 1 piece of pork shoulder, and special sauce. The pork soup, which has been slow boiled for 40 hours was rich and creamy - absolutely delicious! I managed to convince Baby C to share mine with me (she didn't want black soup at the start) and once she tasted the soup, she proclaimed it to be really good. The noodles had an excellent texture too, and the egg was perfectly runny. The chashu was the only thing in the bowl which I felt was ordinary and a bit tough, otherwise a lovely bowl of ramen!
Supreme Ox Tongue @ RM25 – must order, probably my favorite of the entire meal!
I ordered the deep fried salmon omelette curry rice at MYR 17.60+ (MYR 18.65 nett) from the ala carte food menu. As usual I kept half for dinner. The taste is quite acceptable. The piece of deep fried salmon is just a thin piece so I wonder whether there is any eatery where I could get a thicker piece of salmon for this price.
