Konda Kondi Cafe is a place where you can get gluttonous food for a cheap price considering how much arrives on your plate. They go over the top, and you can never complain that they skimped on a certain ingredient. Some dishes need a little tweaking to be perfect, but you can’t beat the value. Konda Kondi is just shy of the level where I would be a regular if I lived in Ipoh, but I would consider coming back once in a blue moon… maybe on a day where I felt like gaining five pounds after one meal.
Overall, everything sucks.

Before I tried James Cendol, I thought no matter famous or not, all cendol taste same but James Cendol proved me wrong, it is a taste which I can remember and tell the differences with others. It comes with rich aromatic coconut milk (santan) flavour but not too sweet. Overall, it is a yes, definitely worth a try!
The Old Town Kopitiam is located on Jalan Tun Sambanthan in Ipoh old town and near to Padang Ipoh . This Old Town Kopitiam is beautifully located inside a renovated pre-war shop house . Its exterior has been repainted while the internal is tastefully decorated with charming fixtures that really bring back the memory of the good old times .

Overall, almost everything is quite good. Would come back to try other things on the menu cause there are a few things that look quite delicious.
So overall, not bad la this place for a light lunch or heavy if you want to order more food to eat on.
Lo Han Kuo (RM 5) is perfect on a hot weather day, not too sweet and comes with jelly made of luo han guo. Rojak (RM 7) is good as well, thick sauce.

Ona Laksa is their speciality, so I must order this for my first visit. At first, it looked like tuna noodles with milk. I was told to add the spicy paste that came in a small saucer. Hmmmm....yummy! A very special version of laksa.
Perfectly grilled chicken served with Fried Potatoes and Peas in a thick onion based gravy and it's just heavenly. Even after all these years, it is still priced at a very reasonable RM 10.00 . This is definitely another must visit restaurant in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
Pak Awang Mee Hailam Gearbox located in the Slim River that become Famous of its fresh and large gearbox at a reasonable price . most of the patron comes from outstation to enjoy the gearbox . visitors that passby definitely will stop by when they are around Slim River . The Mee Hailam Gearbox is the signature dish at Pak Awang Shop .
This place serves delicious laksa noodle and desserts. We were not hungry so we didn't order any noodle, we just order something light.
Hubby's blue rice "nasi lemak" with rendang chicken. This set costs RM 18.00 Delicious rendang chicken with blue rice (colour from blue pea flower). This set includes a drink, hubby chose iced tea (teh-O) without sugar.
It's a little bit more on the pricier side but the food does justice.
My Personal Opinion The menu board states the price for this buffet breakfast is RM21. As a free breakfast that comes with the room, it served its purpose but I certainly wouldn't pay RM21 for such a limited selection...I wouldn't even pay RM17 (the price for hotel guests). I'd rather have the one in MH Hotel (which cost around the same price) instead. Though I really liked the accommodation, I can't say the same for their breakfast. One (The Morning After), the choices were too limited and portions too little and the other (OldTown), the food too plain (both in taste and selection) to offer any sort of satisfaction. With both on-site restaurants not hitting the mark in terms of the complimentary breakfast, I'd rather take my RM17 across the street to Medan Selera Stadium for some cheap (and good) food. Unfortunately, there was no offer for just the room only from the hotel booking websites I booked with...haiz :(
