Iggy’s was good for me, though not exceptional if I were to benchmark it against other Michelin-starred restaurants in Singapore. Otherwise, the setting is intimate and cosy and is ideal for a romantic date night.
The main dish of Welsh lamb is also a resounding success, in part because the lamb Orive buys comes from a young carcass that was slaughtered before the "gamey" flavour could develop.
Since three weeks ago, Iggy’s has lifted the veil to its brand new gastro bar menu at its eight-seat bar counter.
Head to caviar for the luxe factor where even the butter has caviar. The price is relatively hefty as expected, which I will imagine it is going to be a tough competition as compared to other Michelin starred restaurants in the same price category.
Overall, it is quite an experience learning about the delicate differences on sturgeon roe. The presentation and detailing on the presentation as well as the taste of the dishes are well-thought and executed giving the guests a top dollar for the experience.
As for the food at Cosmo, it caters to the daily lunch crowd, the evening wine-and-dine goers, the tired/hungry shoppers, and now, even to brunch ‘practitioners’.
