Overall, we enjoyed our meal here at Bumbu Bali, as we managed to satiate our craving for Balinese food. This space is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a nice and comfortable spot for dinner in Puchong.
For snacks, we shared the fried chicken strips (RM17), served with garlic pepper sauce. This was mostly chicken skin but oh-so-addictive. The sauce was strong and garlicky.
I do not know much about Balinese food and so, all I will say is that the food here is good. I went online, was curious to see the restaurant reviews as well as how well rated it was and yea, the reviews and ratings speaks for itself. Food was goooood, delicious. The dish came with Rice + Spiced Squids + Grilled Fish + Grilled Prawns + a Satay Lilit ( chicken or beef) + Chicken Rendang + Sambal (sambal Matah and sambal Terasi) + Anchovies Crackers + Salad. It was worth every penny, that is all I have to say. Did I mention how satisfied I was – very.
OK i won't go deeper into each hidangan lah but this STANDING FISH cooked with salted eggs memang terbaik! honestly, i tak pernah rasa lagi masakan begini coz selalunya kita makan salted eggs with crab, prawn or squid right? but seriously, this crispy fried fish dah lah garing, isinya lembut malahan sos salted eggs itu tidak lah terlalu asin atau terlalu manis, it just perfect. pergh meleleh air liur terbayang rasanya. adoi!
My order of lai fun noodles came in a soup of mixed beef parts, comprising tripe, tendon and beef slices. Also in it were two big chunks of radish. Not completely soft, but they were nice and juicy. As for the soup, it was rich, flavourful and lip-smacking, with a consistency to it that was similar to collagen (ie it left a slight stickiness to the mouth after you’ve slurped it up).
Main course dia memang daging lembu.
Pretty affordable Thai Restaurant in Puchong, with free rice, Chinese tea and ice-cream. The Paku vegetables and pandan chicken is pretty good, but the butter squid is quite disappointing.
Songkhla menu give you a variety of menu options, still good bargin at reasonable price. Whether you like it spicy hot or not, you are bound to find a favorite from their zesty, spicy, and flavorful Thai foods.
5/10. Good ambience (and free WiFi - just ask the staff for the password), but I’m probably not coming back here for the food (or at least the breakfast/lunch/dinner). In my opinion, has many similarities to Mei (also considered a fairly healthy eating spot) and I just think that the quality - at a similar price point - is just much better at Mei. Probably the reason for the slightly harsher review, but a nice spot to have coffee (or at least it has the ambience for it)!
I went for the Hoisin Smoked Duck Rice Roll (RM16), which came in a generous portion with Japanese rice, tempura mushroom and onsen egg. Considering the price vs portion, it was pretty value for money! The duck had a sweet flavour which was closer to a teriyaki glaze, and the meat was tender but not gamey. Loved nibbling on the flavourful extra layer of duck fat on the top ! The tempura mushrooms weren’t greasy and gave the dish a crispy element. Egg was perfectly poached. All in all, a solid rice bowl.
There is a "cool look" to both the interior and exterior of Garage 51, with an mordernist and industrial deco, coupled with reburbished huge oil drums as seats at the entrance, plus the huge mural painting on the big wall outside; you can't miss it. And definitely serves up a good Latte!
This one is the sriracha chicken plus spaghetti carbonara which was only about RM20. It’s definitely filling and is value for money. The pasta has a lot of mushrooms in it which enriched the taste as well.
After Black Cafe finds its footing within the cafe scene as being superior in every which way. Wooden panels designed to give it the modern feel, food made for the modern man/woman in mind, it’d feel like your in heaven’s doorstep - foodie heaven.
Baked egg with chicken pepperoni RM 13.90: Egg, carrot, button mushroom, capsicum, garlic, mint, tomato sauce, chilli pepper with black charcoal toast Look like Shakshouka that has been given the trimmed down version, it was a little dry. Unusual given that there's egg but it had almost fully cooked. Some may argue this is the stuff of breakfast, I think anytime's a good time for them eggs.
Summary A place that is affordable for everyone. A place for someone who loves Malay cuisine and spicy food.
Sekali fikir-fikir kita singgah ke Warung Cikgu Bukit Puchong. Kiranya dulu kalau ke Bukit Puchong singgah Restoran Tuan Paridah sahaja. Tapi lauk dia cepat sangat habis. Jadi Warung Cikgu lebih mudah kerana lauknya hanya ayam goreng bersama sambal dan kuah sahaja, nasi mmanggey kata orang....
Selamat mencuba ! Gerenti tak rugi. Sure puas hati !
The restaurant offers from dishes (to go with rice), noodles, 单座 Singles, Bites, to Sets and Platters as well as a variety of Thai style beverages (with prices from rm$10+ to rm30+).
1) Thai Fried Glass Noodles 2) Som Tam (Spicy Papaya Salad with shrimps)3) Thai Salted Fish Fried Rice4) Stir Fried Kangkung Sambal (Spicy Morning Glory Veg).
mr. Tuk Tuk, a Thai restaurant that always crowded with people. Every time pass by there sure have people queue up outside the restaurant. Wanted to try for a long time but when look at the queue will change my mind. It located at LG2, opposite Cold Storage. As always long queue but we managed to get a seat just a few minutes because of 2 sitter.
I highly recommend getting the Tom Yum (you can choose from chicken, seafood or shrimp). We ordered the chicken for 2 pax (RM39++). Taste wise, this is one of the better tom yum soups that I’ve had in the Klang Valley. Sour with a spicy kick (but not to the point that you breathe fire; just makes you sweat a little), it’s chock full of flavour from the lemongrass, chilli and other herbs. The chicken meat was also cooked to tender perfection. You can easily polish off bowls of rice with this.
Phad Thai Noodle was superb. It's served with a piece of lime, bean sprouts and chilli flakes. Guys, make sure to squeeze the lime over the noodles before you enjoy! Phad Thai Noodle @ RM 20.76
Phad Thai Noodles (udang) berharga RM20.76 (tanpa 6% gst dan 10% caj servis). Rasanya agak masin.
The Fish Bowl is Malaysia’s leading premium poke restaurant, specialised in serving the freshest poke bowls! One of the most recognisable food trends in the colourful, flavourful and Haiwaiian, Poke Bowl. Established in 2016, "The Fish Bowl" is actually the first poke specialty shop to open in Malaysia.
My dish was the Shoyu Salmon; which is literally just raw salmon. Almost every time I go to the Fish Bowl, I always choose the same ingredients; herby lime sauce, gar-gar sauce, cherry tomatoes, edamame, chili flakes, pickled cucumber, mango, almonds and brown rice as my base. I absolutely love this combo because it has a kick of acidity but the sweetness from the other ingredients make sure that the overall flavour of the bowl is rounded. The gar-gar sauce would definitely be a hit for those who love garlic and the herby lime complemented the raw salmon very well! The portion of the salmon and the sides were generous so it’s worth it for the price. I would point out that the portion of the brown rice did seem a bit lesser than before; maybe it’s just me? Or maybe they were running out of brown rice? I’m not too sure. My bowl was also RM 20.90 but it was definitely worth it!
For me I am so in love with the Ebi Tempura Udon which comes with the slurpy noodles and topped with the crunchy crispy deep fried prawns on top. Yummz
Salmon Kama Karaage (RM 5.80) The deep fried salmon was quite tasty, juicy and crispy. We saw many people ordering chicken karaage but I didn't because didn't think it was special enough to order karaage. Moreover, the salmon had promotion at RM 5.80 instead of RM 10.80
Kami minum lemonade dia sedap jugak, walaupun mahal sikit. Menyegarkan~~
My Personal Opinion Although I won't bother eating those commercially produced meat and frozen fish, the chicken chop itself is worth trying for the price and taste if you happen to be in the mall looking for cheaper eats.
Slurpy Chicken (RM 17) We had their Slurpy Chicken where the chicken comes simply juicy and moist. The portion is pretty huge to be enjoyed and they are deliciously sides with the al-dente pasta. Just perfect to my tastebuds.
Restoran ni menjadi kegemaran suami Sumie. Sebab, ianya menyediakan masakan Thai asli. Masakannya disini tak macam kedai2 tomyam kat tempat lain. Disini, rasanya seperti ada resepi sendiri. Eceh…
Last week aku pergi makan dengan kawan-kawan sepejabat aku. So, kami memilih untuk makan di Puchong (Restoran Alissara Thai Suisine). Restoran ni semua pekerja dari Siam kot. Makanan & harga di retoran ni sama macam ala-ala Chakri Palace tuh. Huhu..
Mahai.
Makanan dekat Ole-Ole Bali ni memang best.
Nasi Campur Chicken @ RM 37 Nasi Campur Chicken was yum. I loved everything in the plate and my sister is shocked that I cleaned the plate. YUM!!
It was great with its shallots and chunks of salted fish, especially when assisted by some freshly cut chili padi as well as the surprisingly tangy soup that accompanied it.
The bill came up to slightly over RM30 inclusive of two drinks. Not particularly cheap but the food is currently the best (Kelantan style) I’ve had in Klang Valley. Go try and let me know what you think!
Verdict: The roti canai sold out very fast! Be earlier than 9am to avoid disappointment.
Kami pergi tapau nais kandar di Restoran Mama Shaaz. Wow! Memang banyak sangat! Tapi tapau dengan makan kat restoran memang lain sangat rasa dia, tapi dah PKP nak buat macam mana. Bagi pendapat kami, sedap lagi nasi kandar NKE. Mungkin sebab rasa kuah dia belum sebati sangat. Tak pun feel dia lain. Hahah. Banyak lagi ada kat sini. Ada roti canai juga.
This 24 hour Nasi Kandar is dubbed as one of the best of Nasi Kandar in Subang Jaya.
We opted for the standard fried chicken, cabbage, and squid over white rice and “kuah campur”. Turns out Nasi Kandar Shaaz was quite delicious. The restaurant uses quality ingredients as the squid was fresh, soft and tender and the curries were thick and flavourful. The fried chicken had a crispy texture which complimented the curries and soft rice well.
The roti here is nice, our favourite are Tosai Masala and Roti Special. Satay is decent, but not above average.
Food still good. Satay, Tosai Rawa and Maggi Goreng.
Roti special still good, and fried Maggi mee pretty good too.
Head down to Kuro Teppanyaki D.I.Y with friends and family to be your own Masterchef in the Teppanyaki world plus tastes can be tailored to fit your preference. Oishī!
Unlike steam boat or even BBQ Plaza's Hot Pot, the self-service Teppanyaki requires a little more skill to grill or fry the meats to prefection on the griddle; else like my first try; its a little too oily and its also end with lots of burned Teppanyaki.
Kalau korang nak rasa kelainan bufet Teppanyaki sini lah lokasinya. Kalau rasa tak pandai nak masak boleh minta pekerja mereka tolong ajarkan sangat membantu. Selamat mencuba ok semua.
