Simply because a bridge is a connecting structure and this was more the rooftop of a connecting passage between two sections of a shopping mall, and it led to nowhere! There was only a feeble attempt of a photo backdrop of a street in South Korea.
What which is lesser known is that 1 Utama has some pretty exciting and thrilling places you have to visit too..
The shop selection isn’t quite to my taste and I didn’t particularly need anything, so I came away with only one thing purchased on this day. However, I realised during our visit that this is a good mall to hang out in. Not just for active people willing to spend money on the entertainment venues, but also for those looking for a more laid back day. There are so many nice places to enjoy a meal or a coffee in this mall, especially the Costa Coffee in the main atrium. The various atriums and resting areas at Sunway Pyramid are excellent people-watching spots. Unlike many other malls, Sunway Pyramid actually has lots of benches and places to sit at regular intervals! This is the mall I’d want to go to if I didn’t need to buy anything but just wanted to spend an afternoon somewhere comfortable. The only thing stopping me from coming to Sunway Pyramid Mall more often is that it is a bit far from me.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, salah satu mercu tanda beli belah di negara Malaysia ini dan antara mall yang aku paling jarang pegi.
Very nice lunch.
Sunway Velocity mall has opened its door a few months ago but I was only able to visit it last Saturday and was surprised to see that they have not removed their CNY decorations.
The largest retail hub, Sunway Velocity Mall now open in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's bustling neighbourhood of Cheras. Sunway Velocity Mall set to bring a unique shopping experience for 1.72 million residents of Cheras and its surrounding neighbourhood including Ampang and Kuala Lumpur. The seven level mall with 1 million sqft of retail space house big retail names including the first AEON MaxValu Prime in the country and the third after Japan and Hong Kong. The other two main anchors are Parkson and TGV Cinema, which also houses IMAX, the world's most immersive movie experience and the largest IMAX screen in Malaysia. Other tenants are Grand Imperial, Uniqlo, Harvey Norman, Padini Concept Store, Popular Bookstore, Home's Harmony, Toys 'R' Us, JD Sports and CHI-X Fitness.
The interesting part: Currently, Sunway Velocity showcases different dining scene comparing to Klang Valley major malls like KLCC, Mid Valley, or One Utama. Weekend lunch crowd at Wong Kok and Pat Kin Pat San were full house, but Kenny Rogers was empty. BBQ Plaza and Sushi Zanmai had long queue, Manhatten Fish Market and Ichiban Boshi were empty. Canton Kitchen was at brisk business, but Esquire Kitchen next to it had no customers. So unpredictable. LOL. Anyway, enjoy, shoppers!

What we like about this mall is the natural sunlight which brightened the entire mall. The mall is easy to walk and the design is not that complex. Thus, it is easy to walk around. We were there during lunch time and the office crowd came in. Most of the restaurants are packed and some restaurants were giving some promotions to get more customers.
From the moment I walked into SkyAvenue Mall I was baffled over the shopping opportunities and dining choices. I’ve never been to a mall like this in Asia before. With more than 100 retails options, SkyAvenue is a haven for shoppers. You can get everything ranging from your everyday needs to exquisite jewellery, timepieces, shoes and gadgets. And even if your not a shopper or a foodie, you’ll always stay entertained.

The Escape Challenge Park looks very fun and I do hope that I can try it one day. With a group of friends or for a special occasion for your children, a few hours at Escape will be undeniably memorable. I can’t help but come out here to spectate every time I visit this mall, and it’s so satisfying to witness feats of athleticism or a child having the time of their life simply by jumping on a trampoline. More of us need to have physical fun like this, instead of getting all our entertainment from a screen.
Immerse yourself in a series of weekend focused activities and experiences offering endless youth exuberance, creativity and fun. Fans of independent artisans can make their way to the inaugural Pasar Sari, an all-Malaysian homegrown artisan market that showcases a selection of locally-sourced and produced goods perfect for local visitors and tourists. You could get your hands on creations from The Apothecary Malaysia, Kapten Batik, Buih & Co, ZaHuoHang and many more. From fragrances and toiletries to pick up art, stationery and apparel, or perhaps take home some homeware and decorations, a variety of agricultural products from social enterprise Langit Collective. Also, don't miss the yummy local delights from Lot 10 Hutong and Rococo Cafe Restaurant too.
If you are satisfied with generic furnishings, you will be able to find much of what you need to decorate a new home at MyTOWN Shopping Centre. Muji, Spotlight, Kaison, Daiso and MR. DIY will have all of the non-furniture extras that one would need, from the essential (kitchenware) to the overlooked (power strips). However, the lack of a department store anchor tenant at this mall means there is no “mid-range” alternative for some items. You might be stuck buying expensive Muji bedding in boring minimalist colours or super cheap cookware of dubious quality from MR. DIY if you desperately need these items and don’t have time to shop anywhere else.
Overall comment: Personally, we like both MyTown and Sunway Velocity. But MyTOWN has brighter, better design. Shopping opportunity wise, brands we came across, so far, quite similar with Sunway Velocity but of course, choices still can’t beat other pioneer shopping malls like One Utama, Mid Valley, Pavilion KL and so forth. Probably more retails will join in in future for more exciting shopping experience (*yay, we really look forward to this =D). For food, not too bad, as there’s our favourite restaurants like Bari Uma, Kodawari Menya Udon, Absolute Thai, Palsaik Korean BBQ. And ya, we like their Sunken Garden located outside the mall. Parking is currently FREE but the parking rate will be RM3 per hour, RM30 maximum per day (*OMG) in future, as seen on MyTown website here.

Besides experience haggle shopping at the market, the street itself is fairly charming with many old shops. You can sample some street food, street arts, visit cafes and temples.
Some of my closest friends decided to play tourists in KL Chinatown during the recent holidays and well… as to be expected or is it a surprise, almost all of them (we are all staying in Klang Valley – KL and Selangor) confessed to not being here in ages…
