Oh man, let me tell you about my faves from the menu! First, there's the emperor chicken with herbs - it's so tender and packed with flavor, you won't be able to get enough.
Ambience at Goldleaf Restaurant is modern and functional. The brightly lit place with ample natural light is minimally decorated, with modern furnishings lined neatly within the spacious seating area.
If you have not made any arrangements for the upcoming Mother’s Day, get in touch with Goldleaf. Other set menus are also available. Cheers!!
It’s no secret I relied heavily on Google reviews nowadays and when I found out that there’s a Taiwanese restaurant, Isshin Machi (no, not ...
Isshin Machi 一心一町 has an outlet at greenwood avenue which is in the Bukit Timah area. I know they have another outlet at GRID but so glad I can go here for lunch.
I always need to try the Lu Rou Fun and theirs is smooth, not too fatty and enough sauce to cover the rice nicely. Very tasty.
It’s just seven minutes to 11.00 am and my heart dropped when I saw the long queue; darn, I should have arrived an hour earlier to beat the ...
My only gripe is that all the food wasn’t warm, even the rice. They were served at room temperature.
This is one Braised Pork Rice which will make be drool over for. Will be back, that’s for sure.
Recommended by Tan Hsueh Yun of The Straits Times. The Spicy Cai Poh Egg Crepe Roll was eggy, soft and crispy at the edges, paired with the saltiness and crunchiness of the chai poh. The Taiwanese Cold Noodles were refreshing and chewy, with crispy cucumber, and a creamy and rich sesame sauce. Nice.
The Place Located right next to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple along a shophouse is Breakfast Hola (早餐好了), a new casual Taiwanese eatery restaurant run by Taiwanese. Decked in simple wooden and meta…
Compared to the last Taiwanese breakfast we had in Cuppage, I will give my vote to that. Though the service is friendly, it's sad to say that the food here does not remind me of breakfast in Taiwan.
Monki 台灣小吃部 was previously at Holland Village and they have relocated to The Star Vista. Perhaps due to the restrictions in travelling, the urge and the constant search for Taiwanese Food seem unstoppable.
Very complex, tasty, moist and generous braised meat, with a strong sweet flavour. 肥瘦参半的肉燥. Nice bowl.
While this place serves up a mean plate of lu rou fan, its portion would have me think twice about coming back for it. That being said, the snowflake desserts are worth trying.
STR TAO Taiwan Cuisine is a hidden gem residing in the industrial estates in Jurong East. Discovered this as I was deciding on where to go for lunch. lol
This hidden gem among the industrial estate is definitely worth highlighting especially for those who are craving Taiwanese food.
The braised pork rice boasted superbly fatty and savoury pork belly, with a strong taste of cinnamon and star anise 八角. The sauce was savoury and flavourful, while the chilli was the dry fragrant type made from hae bi. The deep fried sweet potato with plum seasoning was crispy outside, soft inside, and sweet with a nice sour plum powder counterpoint.
I am definitely jealous of all the people in Singapore who have access to multiple Din Tai Fungs all over the city.
Of all the XLBs I have tasted, the dough skin from Din Tai Fung still is one of the best even though they weren’t exactly melt-in-your-mouth texture as proclaimed.
Even the desserts (mango pudding & almong tofu) and drinks (sweet and sour prune drink) were wonderful.
Happy to have discovered this lovely place with healthy, tasty meatless meals, I will definitely come back to Sufood again.
We like the idea of Sufood Introduces New Salad And Truffle Dishes and especially the truffle dishes.
Sufood indeed brings many stylish and innovative ideas to the vegetarian dining scene. After completing the 8-course meal, meat-crazy PinkyPiggu and I left the place feeling fully satisfied even though it was a meatless dining experience. It spoke volumes of the well-crafted dishes.
Lee Taiwanese is hidden among the estate of Faber Drive and serving authentic Taiwanese Food similar to the taste of Miao Kou Night Market in Taiwan.
我觉得是富有台湾味的红烧牛肉面。牛肉汤很够味,浓香醇。牛肉嫩而香。酸菜添加了一股酸劲。
Northpoint Mall can be a daunting place to be. So many places inside and you can get lost. But, managed to find Feng Food, a small casual Taiwanese place.
One reservation we do have is that we wish the prices would be a bit cheaper, especially considering that this isn’t a full-fledged restaurant.
Niu Dian Beef Noodles Singapore, Best Taiwanese Beef Noodles in Singapore, Niu Dian SG review by Chubby, Botak Koala, Best Beef Noodle in Singapore
If you are in vicinity, Niu Dian Beef Noodles is worth trying for a good bowl of beef noodles if you are looking for a casual meal, even though the prices are relatively steep.
Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee - Niu Dian Beef Noodles has finally landed in Singapore, serving mouthwatering authentic Taiwan Beef Noodles.
We visited Fong Sheng Hao in Westgate for Taiwanese Snacks and Street Food.
Fong Sheng Hao is a Taiwanese Cafe known for its Charcoal Grilled Toasts in Shilin Night Market. There are already 2 outlets in Singapore and Westgate
The lu rou fan was quite good, with fatty and unctuous diced pork, and nice savoury juices coating almost the entire bowl of rice. The toast was a bit more average, with quite a dry slice of pork, although the uniquely sweet and slightly sour mayonnaise made the flavour quite nice.
The environment was rather noisy when some groups came in and I felt that those noises were trapped in the restaurant.
Be prepared for a wide array of beers, bar snacks, appetisers, mains, as well as rice & noodle sets that while on the oily side, are packed with very bold, intense flavours.
The set meal is value for money if you are looking for decent Taiwanese food from Hawker. To add on, the Hawkers are friendly too.
Good strong porky garlicky vinegary flavours for the mee sua, with nicely cooked mee sua and tender yet crunchy intestines, which was thinly chopped.
Oysters are plump and the chitterlings given were generous. Topped their bowl of Mee Sua with some vinegar and chilli to slurp everything up!
Beef Noodle Soup was full or flavor, beef tender and juicy.
The food is good and the free food is even better, putting us in a good mood. We paid about $40 for two persons.
The lu rou or braised pork was really really tasty and fragrant, with the braising sauce complex and possessing depth. Very nice match with the rice, making you want more. The cabbage was flavourful, savoury and soft too. Good stuff.
Wouldn't mind eating it again.
I'm not sure how long these guys have been around (1 Queensway #02-47, 9817-4793), but I'm glad that I came across this little Taiwanese luroufan and biandang stall today.
I haven't been to Shi Li Fang in a while, so I'm not sure how long this option has been available. But they were offering lunch set priced at a few bucks more than the regular S$9.90 (US$7.25) fare, like this one featuring US beef, as well as an upgraded vegetable basket featuring more leafy greens and mushrooms. It hit the spot, but next time I think I'll revert back to my usual fish set, as that is good enough.
I think I'll revert back to my usual fish set, as that is good enough.
It was quite a expensive steamboat so I recommend you to try it out during weekdays lunch time if you around their outlet.
If you are planning for a family meal, Oasis Taiwan Porridge will be a good choice. For its simple and no frills meal with nostalgic environment, moreover they have big round tables which is good for families with kids too.
a reasonably rich broth with a bit of stir-fried smokiness from the vegetables, but with disappointingly soft noodles. I definitely won't get cravings for this, nor will I make much effort to go back, especially since the inside of the restaurant really needs a good deep cleaning.
Their stir fried cabbage with sakura ebi was very nice.
This small chain has been around for ages, but somehow the thought of a Japanese restaurant serving Taiwanese cuisine never got me too excited. But then I noticed the other day how luroufan was at the top of the menu, so I stopped in to give it a shot.
