All in all, like my previous experiences, the displays are constantly in transition, so, nobody gets bored, and with constantly new dishes & ideas rotating on & off the menu, diners & patrons have much more to experience with passing times.

I honestly have not come across another venue; offering Durians fine-dining style. And for the price stated, I believe durian lovers should find any reason/ excuse to indulge at The Peranakan.

Overall, it was indeed an exciting experience to try delicious Peranakan dishes that hardly see in any Peranakan Restaurant. Definitely worth a visit, especially to celebrate this special occasion such as Mother's Day.

Peranakan culture is as well-loved as its food, but it is certainly getting harder to find traditional Peranakan food these days. We were in luck recently and stumbled upon a gem of a Peranakan restaurant. Only authentic peranakan food makes it to the table!

The other savouries that I liked was the satay babi pongteh bun ala kong bak bao. Fatty pork braised in sauce. Just that the bun had slightly hardened by the time we got to this dish.
