One day, a group of us went to Sunway Nexis again for lunch during a working week day as the covered parking is free during weekdays. I ordered noodle in soup for MYR8.90 nett. It has chicken strip, char siew slices (BBQ pork) and 2 small prawns in it. I was surprised that this clear soup noodle tastes quite tasty.
This is the eatery at Sunway Nexis. The HQ is in Ipoh. For an authentic taste of Ipoh, you can visit here if you happen to be at Sunway Nexis. They also serve Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun. Parking is free for the 1st 2 hours.
Dry Curry Mee @ RM12.90 is undoubtedly the main reason to visit Nam Chau because they are known to serve one of the best dry curry mee in Ipoh. The rich and aromatic curry gravy is prepared exactly the same way by the proprietor, then transported to this outlet. It’s not as hot as it looks and you can definitely taste the spices being used.
There are two versions of curry noodles here – the Dry Curry Noodle @ RM12.90 and the Curry Soup Noodle @ RM12.90. Unlike the normal KL dry curry noodle whereby the noodles are mixed with soy sauce and black sauce served with a bowl of curry kuah, Nam Chau White Coffee’s version dry curry noodles are noodles mixed with thicker curry kuah. It is savory. It is spicy. If you like your curry noodles a little sour, you may also add some lime to it.
