This bean curd was from the Whampoa Soya Bean & Grass Jelly Drinks stall. Goji berries were one of the options for topping.
Not a bad tasting gravy but not outstanding as well. The toppings were good though - prawns were naturally crunchy & sweet and the pork slices were tender.
Bean curd with red beans (or are they kidney beans?) and gingko nuts. Not so big on those beans but the gingko nuts were tender and sweet.
Tastier chilli sauce, fried chunks of pork lard and noodles with a better texture. This was hands down the better mee pok.
I still have a better impression of Yi Sheng, but this place was so much faster, which means that I'll come back.
Hi Leskmi Nasi Lemak, nasi lemak, sgfood, review
Wouldn't come back again.
The quality of their fried birds and crunchy fried chicken skin were still good though.
At Whampoa Market, I heard about this stall that has Ginger Chicken. I wasn’t sure if it would be dry, how oily or greasy it was, etc. but I went for it.
This Halal fried chicken rice at Whampoa Market serving crispy outside, juicy inside fried chicken enveloped with aromatic spices and mild ginger heat rivals KFC, Arnold's and their ubiquitous Hainanese counterparts.
I must say, it didn’t disappoint.
This is definitely one good nasi lemak that will put all other nasi lemak-inspired dishes to shame.
