The roast duck has a crispy skin, with firm meat but may be slightly dry in my opinion.
Definitely worth many return visits despite its location.
When it’s good, they are the best sio bak in Singapore, and perhaps the best char siew. But when it’s bad, it’s disappointing.
The roast pork is heavenly!!
I will definitely be making my way back to Wan Jia Ma La Tang soon.
Every plate of rice came with two types of chilli – one closer to the chicken rice type sauce, the other dry chilli with XO sauce included. Truly a roast meat gem found in Singapore.
I am going back for their roasted duck which I did not get to try this time. I took away once to have it at home when they were still at the coffee shop along Foch Road. Its taste was not memorable then but I heard it is getting much better now.
For one of the best Sio Bak around, we have no qualms returning for it. Skip the other meats if you have limited space.
