Gaston serves real French food in a friendly and lively environment in Singapore’s Chinatown. This restaurant is on Keong Saik Road.
All of the starters were must-tries: the Foie Gras Poêlé ($33) of pan-seared foie gras was excellent.
Gaston's steak tartare was not bad.
What caught my eye was the lunch menu, featuring two courses at a bargain price of just S$30 (US$22). That included not just things like that bavette steak-frites above, but also a wonderful plate of asparagus topped with crème fraîche, chives, parsley, cheese, and croutons.
I devoured it all, loving everything about it.
