We truly enjoyed our afternoon at the new location of Nobu Kuala Lumpur. The food was superb, the location is a stunner, and the service was fabulous. One could easily slip into this accessible location for a bite to eat at the sushi bar, a drink at the inviting cocktail bar, a meal with family and friends, or a private meal in the 12-person private room overlooking the park. This new location has everything you would expect from the high standards of Nobu, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
The ‘Ode to Nobu’ Omakase menu is priced at RM595++ per person. The elegant 7-course menu, available until 31 October 2019
Overall, THIRTY8 offers one of the best views of the KL cityscape. However, we found the food to be hit-or-miss. In summary – come for the view, but temper your expectations for the food.
For the meat lovers, THIRTY8 offers Australian 'Diamantina' Red Wagyu or Black Angus Beef from Stanbroke Farms. We had the rib eye (350g, marbling score 6 - RM350), which was thoughtfully sliced for sharing. Beautifully tender, melt-in-the-mouth and flavorful meat, we certainly enjoyed this and went straight to steak heaven. So so good! I'm also eyeing the Tomahawk for my next visit, very reasonably priced at RM350 for 900g.
Reasons to try afternoon tea Grand Hyatt KL: an amazing five (!) hours of feasting; some classic chocolate dishes alongside many inventive recipes; get an education with your indulgence in the interactive stations; admire incredible views as you sip, nibble and savour.
The jacuzzi is so luxe!
Reason to visit Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur: exceptional service; convenient location; comprehensive facilities; excellent staycay deals.
Reasons to visit 2OX French Mediterranean Restaurant Brunch: Did I mention the scrambled eggs?
To be honest, the savory tier was pretty impressive, the flavours were just right. But then again, the portion was really too small for us to be able to properly enjoy them
This New Year’s Eve menu is priced at RM180++ per person and RM260++ per person for Wine Pairing option.
Our top pick goes to the moist, braised-till-tender beef brisket stuffed within fluffy steamed pao. Generous cut of meat too! Summerkid personally enjoyed the Kim.Chi.Chicken. Mildly spicy, with sharp flavours of kimchi cut through in between crunchy, juicy bites of fried chicken chunks.

The revisit to Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum is rewarding. The quality of the food and the ambiance of the place remains the same after so many years. For the pricing of their dim sum, it is similar to some Chinese banquet restaurant price and on par or cheaper than some dim sum restaurants in other hotels in KL. In short, visiting Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum will not disappoint you.
Chef Wong takes on a bold approach with the Steamed Soon Hock with Nyonya Sauce (RM30 per 100gm). The fish is smothered in a piquant and spicy Nyonya sauce that is redolent of spices and herbs. Although the sauce is robust and heavy in flavours, one can still taste the sweetness of the firm and tender flesh of the Soon Hock fish. The dish beckons for a bowl of steamed rice as the sauce is moreish and addictive.
Fruity Yee Sang (small): pistachio, pomelo, chia seed, wax apple (jambu air), dried cranberry, white dragon fruit, dried blueberry, jackfruit, grape, deep fried dough, mandarin orange, pomegranate, pumpkin seeds, snow pear, apple, peanut, and carrot. Tasty and refreshing! MYR 108 nett
Understanding the need to stay relevant in the competitive KL hotel industry, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel recently unveiled it first batch of completely restyled West Wing Deluxe guest rooms. Whether you're here for a weekend getaway, family staycation or for business, this 5-star luxury hotel located in the heart of the Golden Triangle is sure to impress. The restyled rooms feature a modern, contemporary design, with sizes ranging from 40 sqm. To our delight, we were allocated a corner room, which is much larger than the regular Deluxe rooms. We immediately fell in love with the sleek interior in the well-appointed room. Taking on a neutral colour palette, the ergonomically designed room is fitted with reengineered wood flooring, and a day bed (which converts into an extra bed). Not forgetting the king-sized bed which comes with Marriott's Plush Bedding with topper and rich linen - contributing to a really good night's sleep. Room rates for the New Deluxe rooms in the West Wing starts from RM357 per night. Check in time 3pm, check out time 12 noon.
Roti Babi, 11 ringgit There were several dishes that were popular here and one of them is the Roti Babi. Just by looking around, you’d be able to see this dish on almost every other table. Sure, it is loaded with calories but it was da bomb. The top and bottom of this dish is made up of french toast and on the inside, there is a generous portion of flavorful pork minced meat + caramelized onions. Yummy!
Overall, albeit some dishes in Yut Kee are not that good as expected but undoubtedly there are still some delectable dishes serving here, and I'm still looking forward to paying a visit again for their Roasted Pork Roll in the future.
i personally feel that their Pork Chop tasted average but i like that it has a lot of gravy on it

Reasons to visit Shang Palace KL: attractive, traditional setting; warm hospitality; fresh ingredients; delicious Peking duck.
Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of the most prominent hotels in the capital city.
While prices are steep, it makes up for quality and would definitely be a well-deserved treat.
VERDICT If you are looking for a quality stay with topnotch experience be it the comfortable room, delicious BBQ dinner or relaxing swim at the rooftop pool, Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur Autograph Collection is definitely something you can consider. Personally, my experience here is nothing short of comfort, uniqueness and excellent service. Hotel Stripes tops my list of favourite spots for weekend getaways in KL. Highly recommended for leisure stay, business trip, or any special occasions.
Our Deluxe Room came with a comfortable king-sized bed, fluffy pillows and duvet, a sofa and a cosy worktable. There was a large black and white photo of Jalan Kamunting in the 1940s hanging over the bed. I felt it offset the otherwise modern furnishings quite well and lent the space a sense of nostalgia.
Purple and white corn from Janda Baik are the stars of this dish. Sweet and crunchy, the corn kernels are tossed with Spanish air dried beef shards, charred local vine tomatoes, a hint of sambal aioli and garnished with Asam pedas salt for a burst of flavours.
Reasons to visit Tapestry Dining Chow Kit: local produce, modern flavours on the grill; stylish setting; there was not a dish we tried tonight that we didn’t like – if forced to narrow an order though – don’t miss the Zucchini Barramundi Otak-Otak and Sarawakian Native Job’s Tears “Risotto.”
Lightly-battered fried chicken brushed with honey sriracha glaze and served with a side of fries and fennel salad. turns out to be better than we expected. The glaze is good, fill with mild sweet, souries and bitter taste that suits on the sauce and also fried to perfection. – recommended
One of the must try is their Smoked Lamb Ribs (RM 98.00 nett). One can enjoy the 360g of Lamb Ribs which is beautifully smoked with the hickory wood, and then seasoned with their signature spice blend and then glazed with their house-made barbecue sauce and grilled till perfection. The meat comes awesomely delicious and tender which makes it heavenly with no gammy smell in it. And what’s more is they are sides with the seasoned fries and fresh vegetables. Yummz !
One Night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp This dish was a favorite of mine. There were medium sized prawns coated in spicy sauce with a nice amount of sesame seeds and green onions sprinkled on it. You do not need to worry about the sauce being too hot – it wasn’t. It somewhat resembled the reddish orange sauce commonly used to coat Korean Fried Chicken?? The difference here is the flavor itself. First, the mild spicyness will hit you, immediately followed by short burst of sour tanginess. I think a drizzle of lemon zest was added too. It was delicious. If it wasn’t for the others being around, I’d most probably ‘hantam’ it all by myself but since that was not the case, ‘kena jaga imej’ right? Lol.
The Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is a beautiful 5-star hotel located smack in the middle of the Golden Triangle… Location wise, it has one of the best locations around…
During our stay, we experienced the ultra spacious, luxe Grand Executive Suite (152 sq m), the epitome of opulence and elegance. Fresh orchids greeted us as we walked through the door into our suite, and we were immediately wowed by the vastness and well-appointed, stunning interior of the suite. The residentially-styled suite comes with a bedroom with a king-sized bed, marble bathroom with separate toilet, walk-in wardrobe, a spacious living area and dining area with a pantry (Nepresso coffee machine and a large fridge/freezer). The hotel also thoughtfully arranged two single rollaway beds for the kids as well as a welcome candy bar with delicious sweet treats.
As the Prestige Rosé flowed, we mingled and savoured the Champagne and elegance of the evening. A truly memorable evening of high quality champagne enhanced by the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s superb hospitality.
