Overall, the breakfast sets here are affordable and portion is generous. The specialty here is their lamb sausages. Parking is a concern as there there are not many parking slots surrounding this cafe.
Another proud creation by Pallet Garden Cafe- Turmeric Chicken Diao Diao Mee... deep fried Turmeric-marinated Chicken served with instant noodles-like noodles. But according to the proprietor, the noodles were custom-made and were different from the ordinary ones. True enough, the noodles were not oily and worked perfectly well with the home-made Chili paste. All in all, we were pretty pleased with the food quality here.
The pork lard rice is very addictive on its own. It is simple plain rice topped with soy sauce, garlic, spa egg and drizzled with pork lard that yield a subtle and nice flavour. Pork Lard Rice was a popular staple for those who live a hard time those days.
The DD Mee with a ‘spa’ egg (soft egg white and creamy yolk) comes with a choice of Spicy Fried Chicken, Original Fried Chicken or Turmeric Fried Chicken. A popular choice is the Spicy Fried Chicken – proved to be surprisingly hot yet tasty.
