The noodles were slightly soft but full flavoured. I could taste the chilli, vinegar, and umami and sweet mushroom sauce – it all came together for a satisfying mix. The mushrooms were really flavourful, and everything else was competent. The pork lard was also seriously crispy and fragrant. The rest of the ingredients were standard fare but were cooked well.
The Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan had a conplex and layered flavour, and melt in the mouth pork. Really not bad new stall.
The bee hoon was cooked nicely till soft, and the sauce was almost sweet, nutty and creamy, with a nice contrasting sourness. There was small bits of tau pok, not enough to provide bite, but enough to vary the texture and mouthfeel. Not bad.
Elijah Pies Tanjong Pagar review with pictures of food menu and drinks list, cafe interior and Nutella pie, wild berry pie and savoury pies .
Whether you’re looking for a sweet treat to satisfy your cravings, or a savoury pie to warm your soul, Elijah Pies has something for everyone. This might just become your new favourite coffee break spot in Tanjong Pagar.
Great addition to Tanjong Pagar which already has no lack of cafes, though this might just be the only pie-focused cafe in this area for now. I like the cosy and homely vibes which is a stark contrast to the busy Tanjong Pagar Road, and it is also great that there are a mix of savoury and sweet pies on the menu.
At S$4.50, this mixed plate seemed promising; there was plenty of egg for the white version whereas the black carrot cake appeared to be diced up pretty finely and color wasn't pale.
Day 2 of our Cruise to Nowhere Singapore on the Quantum of the Seas operated by Royal Caribbean Cruises, Cruise to nowhere Review
Perhaps it was truly an off day for Celebrities Big Prawn Noodle, as the queues during peak hours certainly seem to be a testament to the quality of their noodles.
The noodles were firm but so so in terms of flavour, with the dark soy sauce quite mild in flavour. The char siew was quite nice, old school but thick and sweet. The wantons were quite average, but the dumplings were quite tasty and full of ingredients like prawn, black fungus and pork.
