A Jingling-Good Time festive buffet, only available on 24 – 25 December 2018, is decidedly more elaborate and lavish.
East Meets West Buffet serves a number of innovative dishes by combining some of the unusual east and west ingredients together which we thought it was a good try. At this buffet, we find that the standard is getting better.
Saizeriya has refreshed its menu yet again, and now there are a couple of dishes featuring small cold shrimp on top, like that salad, or even one of their risottos done up with clams and mentaiko. Yeah, I liked them, particularly the rice given that it was extra briny.
The price starts from S$58.00++ for 3-course lunch onwards and up to 6-course Wine Pairing Set Dinner at S$208.00++. We were lucky to try out the 6-course Wine Pairing Dinner the other night.
This was a squid-y lunch if I might say so. That grilled squid was actually kinda nice with the charred bits, soya sauce and butter along with the slightly chewy parts that had the intensified squid flavour.
I'm pretty sure that's why they are able to keep their prices so darned low. Too bad they didn't throw in some of their spinach though.
My favourite dish was their Thai fried chicken wings, the stuff in it was perfect, it give the chicken wings a surprise twist.
The East meets West buffet is available from Sunday to Thursday from 6 30pm to 10pm starting from 2nd July to 30th November for just $42++ per person.
At this buffet, we find that the standard is getting better. However, a number of food we tried was not pipping hot which most would prefer.
