The dempsey area is no stranger to me as it was the location of the HQ Medical Corps more than two decades ago and I had the opportunity to ...
It was full-on brunch and the prices were quite high!
Dempsey Cookhouse Set Lunch review with pictures of menu, cocktails, samosa, tortilla, guacamole, veal Milanese ...
The Siri House Bubbles and BBQ Private Dining Experience starts from S$128 ++ onwards, minimum 12 pax and only available on Tuesdays to Sundays from 11.30am to 8pm.
Siri House Review where we dined elegantly for Valentines Day Lunch. The Food very much matched the Art Deco interior design...
Will I Return Again? Overall, I enjoyed the dishes I had at Siri House. Each course is consistently good, all the way to desserts which are not too sweet for my palate. Head here for a meal to escape from town.
Shang Palace Singapore review of Chinese restaurant at Shangri-la Hotel with pictures of menu with prices, char siew, dim sum, ginseng soup
Chef Daniel launches new menu of his well-loved star dishes from Hong Kong from 4 October onwards in addition to the restaurant’s renowned Nostalgic dishes, Cantonese classics, and guests’ favourites.
A solid display of heritage and new dishes I had by Chef Daniel, which should bring Shang Palace Singapore to greater heights.
No matter your preferred food, The Line has got you covered with their wide spread of exquisite nosh and themed buffets.
The highlight of the buffet is, of course, the durians.
The Canton Fair buffet has enough to satisfy some discerning taste buds.
Given a chance to be back again, I will very much like to order their main courses.
Open Farm Community New Dishes maybe created and filled with with local flavours, however, I feel that there isn’t any wow factor. Some fine tuning to the dishes may be required. Generally, I notice the vegetarian dishes were extremely well executed, so were the pasta.
A little pricey for the portions but it was delicious.
Service at Yan Ting restaurant is professional, discreet, and polite. Staff may not make much conversation, but they are attentive and observant.
One of my favourites is the Crispy Roasted Chicken with black truffle shavings which boasts tender, succulent meat beneath a crispy thin layer of skin, while the addition of black truffle elevated the flavours of the roasted chicken.
大闸蟹粉皮煲($24)在砂锅里热腾腾上桌,软嫩顺滑的粉皮吸收了蟹黄的鲜美浓郁,入口香滑鲜美。
It is simple yet complicated and thoughtful, put together with sweet, sour, salty, bitter and full of umami flavours in mind. Completing the experience on the plate, all the dishes are artistically presented.

We absolutely loved the dining experience at Morsels, from the cozy ambience, to the engaging service, and the unique yet delicious food.
The Culina folks have a market-cum-dining room on Dempsey Hill, with the high ceilings of those black and white barracks creating a pleasantly large space centered around a wine bar.
Culina at COMO Dempsey Hill Review - Lunch at Bistro and Market, selected steak preparation fee $18, wine and corkage fee $18...
Culina Charcuterie & Cheese Platter with French cheese, Parma Ham and chorizo salami, 2016 Château Labégorce Margaux wine ...
The definitely-not-pink Ngoh Hiang Chicken was juicy and crunchy, with bold meaty savoury salty flavour.
Ambience at The Lobby Lounge Shangri-La is welcoming and grand.
The Chee Cheong Fun hit the spot with its thin silky smooth skin and generous glaze of sweet black sauce. Perfectly springy and chewy, the delicate rice rolls had us going back for more.
Next time I should try to sidestep those wagyu prices by going for the spatchcock instead.
Overall, it was definitely a memorable experience.
Save to say, Fat Belly gets my votes for the value for money steakhouse in Singapore.
Local and comforting food.
The grandma’s te kah bee hoon was hearty and savoury, and full of wok hei and umami. The Hainanese chicken satay was smoky, sweet and tender, with a balanced flavour. The ugly cabbage in fish sauce was crunchy and smoky and savoury with fish sauce at the same time – shiok.
Overall, it was a great high tea experience.
Long Beach @ Dempsey is situated in a serene enclave outside of the city area, offering a contemporary oriental dining experience.
38 reviews of Long Beach Seafood "wow, this was awesome. messy, spicy crab but so worth it. we drank wine but this is definitely a place you want to drink lots of cold beer. service was great. didn't seem like a touristy place at all. my only…
Service is extremely speedy and dishes arrived in quick succession (all the better for a higher turnover, I suspect). The food was, as usual, generally consistent and delicious, with nary a wrong step.
The ambience is great, and it is especially difficult to find a spacious and lush dining space in Singapore.
49 reviews of PS.Cafe "I dined with my friends on a Sunday evening for a birthday celebration. The space and ambience was comfortable, and the service was pretty efficient. The Truffle fries are a must! And I usually pair it with the Apple Toffee…
PS. Cafe is a good place to head to; it would be great if only the prices are slightly lower.
Min Jiang at Dempsey not only sees a new design concept, but diners can expect a whole new menu by Master Chef Goh Chee Kong, who has devoted more than half of his 32-year career to Min Jiang.
I like the contemporary and convention defying space here, and I am already looking forward to return for lunch soon.
Not only can one delights in well-loved signatures and specialities, such as the Legendary Wood-Fired Beijing Duck, the new items are also delicately prepared and suitable for all occasions.
I reckon it’s worth a visit if you live nearby or want to avoid the crowds at popular, central areas!
The rendang was fragrant, rich and layered. The wagyu beef was a bit tough and fibrous, but not bad. The blue pea rice was also interesting, with a slight fragrance, and paired well with the rendang sauce.
I was blown away by Elixir Boutique Roasters’ Brûlée French Toast and can’t wait to be back for more of it.
You will find a wide selection of Cantonese, Shanghainese, Sichuan, and even Modern China dishes that all bear that TungLok’s distinctive touch.
The food was a hit and miss. Service was excellent though, warm, efficient, and speedy.
Food here always nice, but parking is expensive, & now they refused. to give free parking
Overall, we can understand why Nassim Hill Bakery Bistro Menu is still drawing in the crowds after all these years.
Portions are a tad small overall, except for pasta. Delicious fare and worth returning for!
Nassim Hill has the potential to be a great dining spot for larger groups and intimate gatherings given its roomy interiors and medieval tavern like vibes. Food, however is a bit of a hit and miss; so heed my advice and just give the waffles a good whack.
The Gyu Bar offers two different 8-course omakase menus, each with a highlight of quality beef prepared yakiniku-style.
I'd probably want to try Sukiyaki don ($32) or Hokkaido Butadon ($28). Hopefully the flavors are more balanced in these.
Premium quality meats with intimate and unpretentious vibes. Guaranteed a good time if the sake keeps flowing.
The curry is spicy and rich in coconut, but just enough to give you that rich creaminess without overcompensating for the natural sweetness of the crab.
The setting of Candlenut is beautiful, and is definitely an ideal venue to impress your overseas friends or in-laws.
Overall I am really impress with the Chef Malcolm's interpretation of Peranakan cuisine. He has definitely elevated traditional Peranakan food to a new level that is acceptable to the international palate while not losing the its heritage roots.
Mexican Food Takeaway from Margarita’s Dempsey Hill Singapore, review of chicken quesadillas and red snapper burritos with pictures ...
Food-wise, Margarita's isn't the best or the most authentic (it purports to serve Mexican fare, but it's really more Tex-Mex), but it was more than decent, and generally passed muster.
However, I felt the dulce de leche, or sweetened milk sauce, lacks punch, being rather thin in texture and weak in taste. Still, the brownie is great enough on its own. Worth ordering!
