Birds Of A Feather 2022 115 Amoy Street #01-01 https://www.birdsofafeather.com.sg/ Pork Dumplings (SGD $17)
Overall, this is the first time I came to BOF and I totally enjoyed the food here. Instead of the overpowering spicy Sichuan cuisine, most of the dishes have been well thought out, multi-layered yet balanced, delicious and well-executed.
Popular Sichuan-Western restaurant Birds Of A Feather located at Amoy Street spots a new menu, after a year long exploration and research by Executive Chef Eugene See.
Overall, I really enjoyed the Inaniwa udon noodles as they were nicer than other udon I have tried so far and the sashimi slices were also thick and generous. The environment was also peaceful and cosy for a quiet private meal with no noisy neighbours. The pretty desserts were also a great way to end the meal
Quality, tasty food at a reasonable price.
A cosy, spacious and contemporary interior with a capacity of 80.
I had the wok-fried kway teow infused with smoky wok hei with delightful crunchiness from the diced kai lan.
The fish cucumber was thoroughly braised and tender and gelatinous. The kway teow had very strong wok hei, smokiness and sweetness from the chye poh. The bee hoon was full of sweet seafood goodness. One the nicer Chinese Teochew meals I have had in a while, in a nice refurbished old shop house environment with a courtyard at the entrance.
Great place for Teochew cuisine with many authentic ingredients imported direct from ChaoshanThe teochew porridge is optionavailable during weekday lunch The restaurant menu features other classic Teochew dishes
Bochinche Restaurant - Steak House on Club Street, 27 Club Street, modern Argentinian cocina serving modern Argentinian dishes,
I love the new Bochinche space, and you can be promised of a good steak experience here.
The restaurant seems smaller than than the old place. The decor is more colourful and vibrant, with a traditional country atmosphere.
There are probably a billion restaurants on this planet that have a similar name. So I was dismissive of this place when I had first heard of it, puzzled as to why this was suggested for tonight (98 Amoy Street, 8533-9928).
The Chengdu Bowls were really hearty and delicious!
After trying out Chengdu Restaurant New Menu, I am sure I will return for other dishes.
Desserts aside, the food at The Bravery largely exceeded my expectations, made better by their sunlight-dappled interiors and central location.
With a full-service team led by Sous Chef Melvin Lam and award-winning Head Barista Maryvn Tan, customers can expect an elevated menu comprising new dishes, crowd-pleasing signatures, freshly-baked treats and quality brews.
The first floor is where you can get your coffee fix and a variety of seating formats caters to different interactions whole the second storey houses The Bravery’s in-house bakery, which churns out fresh breads and baked goods daily.
All in all, it was a disappointing visit. I paid $244 for all the above and a bottle of red wine after a 25% discount through the entertainer app. The food and service could really use some work.
Homely Italian restaurant in Amoy Street, satisfying food and it is best not to go solo at Solo Ristorante. Italian food is best shared.
the food is not inexpensive, it is value-for-money as the quality of the food and the well-executed dishes make me want to return.
We grabbed a Duroc pork set for dinner at Go! K-BBQ tonight. It featured not just samgyeopsal belly and the hangjeongsal jowl that we liked so much from last time, but also that thick cut of pork neck in the foreground above.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
This place isn't cheap (72 Amoy Street, 6221-4148). But it's a one Michelin-starred restaurant, and I figured that I might as well indulge now that we're nearly out of the circuit breaker period.
The emphasis on fresh herbs made everything very aromatic.
It’s a pity about the food because the space is gorgeous and the service is wonderful and thoughtful. We paid $105 per person. The price is very steep for lunch but I’m glad we came for lunch instead of the $140++ dinner.
All in all, it was good enough that the dips that they were selling was almost (I'll explain why it's almost) unnecessary.
If you work in the Telok Ayer area, you’d be pleased to know that Chico Loco opens bright and early for breakfast (8am to 11am) and stays open till late.
Amoy Street has a long history in Singapore but among young Singaporeans, it’s more well-known as THE place for good quality Korean barbecue...
I'm definitely coming back, possibly even as an alternative to Burnt Ends given how difficult it is to get a seat there.
I would definitely want to be back at Maggie Joan's again.
Maggie Joan’s offers its tasting menu for both lunch and dinner, crafted using seasonal ingredients sourced from small and artisanal producers.
Basque Kitchen Fullerton Review with pictures of menu, restaurant, 5 course lunch $168++ and how to get to the new Basque Kitchen Fullerton
Service was good, even though the wait between each dish was quite long.
Lunch at Basque Kitchen Singapore was an enjoyable experience. The food, service and ambience of the restaurant was deserving of a one-star Michelin restaurant. Perhaps more.
A full bodied and almost creamy soup, with fresh fish and prawns. The portions of rice and soup were a bit small though for a $10.80 bowl.
We can say that all three kinds of porridge that we had at Chao Ting 潮亭 Far East Square were very good. Unless you really like prawns, we suggest saving $2 and order either of the fish slice options as we found them equally enjoyable. The plain sliced fish is probably more healthy but the fried fish has a firmer nicer texture.
we do believe the delicious bowls churned up by Chao Ting may very well transform pao fan into a classic Singaporean dish.
Good Spanish food at Kulto, cosy dining vibes and if you are looking to try a new Spanish restaurant, Kulto is worth a shot.
My favourite dish of the evening was this slab of dessert made with a layer of sponge, Whisky-infused Chantilly Cream and egg yolk ganache.
What made it worthwhile to order dessert at Kulto was that they were served with coffee. The coffee was strong and we liked the taste of it.
The Place Located at Amoy Street, I checked out the newly minted 2-Michelin Star Cloudstreet recently for a celebratory occasion. The entrance of the restaurant looks nondescript, but it transforms…
My favorite of all of these was the dhal on the right, which was so comfortingly balanced and rich that I kept going back for more. Nice.
Fun and mildly absurd - a suitable finish to our meal at Cloudstreet.
this place offers a good satisfying meal when there is good discounts. food is good standard if not spectacular..service is always good.
dishes were good restaurant standard and very good serving size and service was outstanding.
Seafood is their strength at Burlamacco and I look forward to checking out other dishes too.
Here's a tiny little shop next to Bamboo Bowls that does doughnuts and sandwiches (135 Amoy Street #01-03). I went for the latter, and was happy with that "Bobby Smalls" sandwich above featuring luncheon meat, a fried egg, cheese, arugula, and spicy mayonnaise.
Korio’s donuts and sandwiches are definitely worth checking out, especially if you work nearby!
Korio is a nice example of independent cafes I’d love to see more of in Singapore.
Food quality is not too bad at Wang Dae Bak Pocha, though service quality needs to be stepped up.
Perfect for corporate parties, events and even family gatherings and birthdays!
I haven't been to Bamboo Bowls in a while, but it looks like they have replaced the first bowl on the menu yet again.
