That looked and tasted much better than it sounded, with that super tender pork belly covered in a velvety yet light sauce over distinct grains of rice.
If I can just get past my guilt, then I might come here more often given the good quality of ingredients that they use in these Inflation Menu dishes.
The Inflation Menu item at The English House today was this fish pie, which was delicate and easy to eat. It turns out that they also have wine by the glass on the Inflation Menu too.

A classy but cosy place to get a great steak with Italian style sides and pastas to boot!
I'm not sure how true to form this is, but it was on the Restaurant Week menu at Shabestan during lunch today.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
We have the occasional 'Middle Eastern' restaurant, encompassing food from all of the Middle East, which is a bit like having Singaporean and Thai food lumped under the umbrella of 'Asian restaurant', but I digress.
A must-try is their Char Siew Bao, which nails the dough to filling ratio.
Overall, if you’re hankering for dim sum while in the vicinity, or want a buffet option that is value-for-money, Tang Lung Restaurant is a decent bet.
There are no lack of restaurants in Robertson Quay and this is probably the rare few Chinese restaurant here.
The omakase dining experience at Pixy is like rediscovering the wonderment and excitement of a meal.
Overall, it was a treat looking and tasting the creations of Chef Nobu.
To me, it is a wonderful marriage of choconana and banoffee.
Love their seared lychee for its warm citrus sweetness.
There are some hits and misses with Lè Fusion but it is a laudable effort to put up an extensive menu of fusion food to share their love of different food cuisines.
Always interesting to visit a fusion restaurant and be surprised by the kitchen, which best explains my dining experience at Le Fusion.
We went through a bunch of other dishes they had to offer which were also pretty good.
Kuroya Sukiyaki is definitely one I will return for the overall dining ambience, including the good service and quality of food.
Kuroya is the only place I have been to in Singapore which serves sukiyaki in the way that it is done in Japan. The tomato sukiyaki might not be traditional but it is quite special and worth a try if you are going for bold flavours with a bit of kick.
Worth checking out if you love your Japanese food!
Ginza Shinto not only offers omakase dining experience but also affordable lunch menu as well.
overall standard still very very good. will come back some time.
It is not cheap but with 3 servings of A5 ohmi wagyu i guess that is still for me the best jap omakase in town for the price.
We love the food and ambience of Casa Rustico. I surely will be back for other choices.
Tables are exceptionally hard to get over weekend dinners and ours took one cancellation and a three month wait.
The next time you drop by, you might also want to try the Sake Tasting ($15/ 3 shots), one of the most value for money set in town.
Enjoy sustainable seafood from thie Ippin Cafe x Kesennuma Shishiori menu and stand a chance to win tickets to Japan!
All in all, the food on Ippin Cafe Bar With Taste Japan Menu was generally good.
chilli eggplant very good, again thanks to the chilli & egg was nice too with lots if onions.
Nestled among restaurants and the romantic riverside of Robertson Quay, River Wok serves modern Indochina cuisine, pulling together dishes from Laos, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. River Wok is a great place to hangout after work to enjoy the Southeast Asian food.
My interest is piqued with this whole Indochina cuisine, you bet I will be returning if just for the appetizers and drinks.
You won’t regret splurging on it, as each treat proves to be spectacular.

Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant at Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium welcomes the Year of the Dragon with a delectable array of perennial favorites available for takeout and an exquisite selection of seven celebratory set menus for dining in.
I’ve been to Xin Cuisine before, and true to expectations, the food was very enjoyable. The first course set the tone with the eye-catching Caviar Roasted Duck. Everyone raved about the Hashima & Crab Meat Soup, and when I say everyone, that includes the Ang Moh and the 2 kids! The baked lobster, so flavourful I really wished I had several more! We thoroughly enjoyed every dish. I guess the only complaint if I had one is that the Braised seasonal Vegetables in Superior Stock looks a little simple and plain, and the portion size not very large.
Xin Cuisine’s Chinese New Year Takeaways are available for order from 1 December 2022 till 2 February 2023 through its e-shop . Available for collection/ delivery from 21 December 2022 to 5 February 2023.
Food at Beast & Butterflies is modern fusion, influenced by worldwide flavours, including American, British, French, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai, and Japanese.
