Well, it is the best omakase in Orchard for sure! I will definitely be back!!!
We finally secured a reservation at that place next door to Bistro Étroit (150 Orchard Road #01-37, 9644-2487).
The food at Kakiin is generally pretty good, and I can see myself coming back!
A more mainstream yakitori bar, really small with less than 10 seats and 2 sittings. The flavours were quite light, and the meats were tender and springy when they should be. Agreeable stuff, but nothing too earth shattering.
The best ones were the cuts bearing skin and fat: the bonjiri above as well as the tebasaki wings. Of course it wasn't as good after spending time in transit home, but it was affordable, and he was really friendly.

Overall, it was indeed an amazing Yakitori experience.
we would most certainly be back again for more Oyako Dons in the future as well!
Not sure if a return is quick on the cards but definitely good value and good entertainment.
Jincha surprised me in terms of how bubble tea could still be refreshing and easy to drink even after adding soju.
I likely won't come back here again, although at least it's good to know of a chuanr shop up in this part of town.
Apart from the small snacks and starters, this dish simply blew me away!
Overall, Il Den is indeed what we would call a hidden gem, considering its discreet location and its incredibly intimate vibes; a concept that not many are able to replicate.
That looked and tasted much better than it sounded, with that super tender pork belly covered in a velvety yet light sauce over distinct grains of rice.
If I can just get past my guilt, then I might come here more often given the good quality of ingredients that they use in these Inflation Menu dishes.
The Inflation Menu item at The English House today was this fish pie, which was delicate and easy to eat. It turns out that they also have wine by the glass on the Inflation Menu too.
They don’t take reservations so customers in the know will arrive by 11.45 am to chope a place when they open at 12noon!

Misato certainly served delicious Japanese food and they paid special attention to the cutlery and utensils too. However, it is a little slow. We would still recommend. Therefore, dine when you have the time to spend.

Portions were a little small. Prices were a little high.
Food at Five Guys is American cuisine, focused specifically on burgers, hotdogs, and milkshakes. The menu is small and focused, instead, the emphasis is on maintaining a consistently high quality.

This noodle chain apparently commands long lines back in Malaysia, mainly for a broth that is made from forty different kinds of local fish bones (313 Orchard Road #B3-37, 6363-5323). So I was disappointed when I took a sip of it to find that it wasn't anywhere as savory as I would've thought, and in fact was slightly sweet.
Food at GO Noodle House is Malaysian Chinese cuisine, focused on soup noodles with their signature broth. The menu is extensive, with a good range. Quality of dishes is consistent, tasty and delicious.
Good texture going on with the toppings but the noodles on their own weren't impressive at all.
The Dragon Chamber provides guerrilla-style Chinese cuisine. They want to stretch the diners comfort zone serving unconventional Chinese food
Overall, I find the food and dining experience at TDC memorable. I am unable to appreciate the Szechuan influence in some dishes, however, the rest of the dishes are great.

Roast Meat is Fook Kin Good!
Food at Fook Kin is Chinese Singaporean cuisine, with a smattering of Thai cuisine. Their specialities include Chinese Cantonese roast meats, and Thai inspired stir-frys.
The char siew was the only thing that was not bad, nicely caramelised and sweet, although a bit tough for half fatty char siew.
