Cendol is okay, just opposite the Dutch Square.

Cendol merupakan antara hidangan minuman yang digemari ramai termasuklah Cendol Jam Besar, yang terletak berhadapan dengan Pejabat Pos Lama, Bandar Hilir.
However I find that the quality of this shop, the taste had changed. I felt that year 2018 and before, it taste much better. The fragrant of peanut, spices and others are more prominent.
To our surprise, the Capitol satay sauce tastes gratifying and has a way thicker nutty blend compare to other satay celup which we tried before, not hard to understand why there are so many diners dying for their satay celup. Well too bad in our case, as it keeps gives us a chill in the spine on each bite worrying that we might get severe diarrhea on the next morning! 😉
As we ate, restaurant staff came over occasionally, to add more sauce or to stir the pot so that stuff didn’t stick to the bottom. The peanut sauce was fragrant, with a sweet and nutty flavour. I especially liked the bacon-wrapped enoki mushroom.
店内环境舒适,食物也不仅仅是千层蛋糕而已,还有许多美食和小吃,确实是一个很适合聊天聚餐的好地方呢!
Nadeje is a cake shop in Melaka famous for its mille crepe. I’ve heard about Nadeje many years back. Can’t believe I’ve taken over 7 years to try this cake!!! What’s a mille crepe? It’s a French cake made from many layers of crepe. The word mille means thousand which suggest the cake has many crepe …
So there I was at the original spot where I was told the mille crepe craze began. Dropping by the Nedeje Cake Shop at Plaza Mahkota Malacca one fine afternoon, it was indeed a very cozy spot to have some cakes.
For main course in this RM148++ set menu, diners can choose from Grilled Beef with Mushroom Simmered in Masala Wine, Sole Fillet with Lemon White Wine Sauce and Baked Chicken Breast with Basil Tomato Sauce and Parmigiana. We picked for the first two, seeing that Summerkid loves beef dishes while Summergirl always prefers seafood choice.

During our stay at Estadia Hotel, we also checked out their Jom Makan promotion at Makan Nyonya restaurant. The new promotion, available daily (Monday to Sunday) from 12pm until 10.30pm, features five different set meals for only RM16, and is inclusive of a glass of iced lemon tea.
The restaurant's signature dish is the Nyonya Fish Head, which you can have cooked with either curry or assam broth. Melaka is famous for its asam pedas, so that's what we opted for. You can have half a fish head for RM42 or a whole fish head for RM78. Served in a large claypot, the broth was tangy, spicy and appetizing and comes with a whole load of vegetables such as lady's fingers, tomatoes, onions, long beans, brinjal and dried beancurd. They use red snapper, and it was pretty meaty. Overall very enjoyable and you'd definitely want a lot of rice to go with the assam broth/sauce.
Actually buat mummy yang pertama kali merasai menu Peranakan Baba Nyonya ni walaupun dah berpuluh tahun duduk dekat sini, menu-menu ni memang membuka selera mummy. Selera mummylah, selera korang mummy tak pasti pulak. hehhee so kalau ke datang sini. Jangan lupa singgah ok.
Molten Chocolate Cafe is a great place to go for your chocolate fix. Almost everything you see on the menu contains chocolate. Waffles, brownies, pancakes, drinks, almost everything comes with either the normal chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate or a combination of all chocolates. There are so many mouthwatering chocolate desserts that we had a very hard time choosing what to order.
Molten Chocolate Cafe must be every chocoholic’s dream come true. Whether you are looking to satisfy your sweet cravings, a nice cup of coffee or take your little ones to indulge in the chocolate that they love most, Molten Chocolate Cafe should be on your radar.
Overall, we enjoyed the pork satay and pork intestines satay. The size of the satays might be small but they are sure tasty. For pork satay lovers, you can consider visiting Ming Sate Hut and we don’t mind coming back again especially for the pork intestines satay.
Love the pastry sold here, delicious. Recommended.
Overall, the dishes are delicious and affordable with beautiful ambiance. Their portion is bigger than others, so if you usually order medium, then you have to order small one at Seri Nyonya. If you are looking for Nyonya Cuisine during Melaka trip, definitely this is a good choice for you.
That's frustrating for someone who loves his crabs and I decided to make a trip down to the UNESCO Malaysian city, with the primary objective of checking out this particular restaurant that my sister, and brother in law, had been raving about; Restoran Tong Sheng!
We didn’t dislike any of the dishes, but we weren’t excited by any of them either. It’s good home-style cooking, but it’s not going to blow your socks off. Service was efficient and the food came fast.
Verdict: With so many good reviews I’ve read online (some even said this is the best choice when comes to Nyonya dining in Melaka), my dining experience certainly wouldn’t make it the best Nyonya restaurant in Melaka. Perhaps I’ve order the wrong dishes. Food was just decent but did not mind-blowing and I’ve had a better Nyonya meal elsewhere. (Read THIS)
This little Nyonya restaurant is located at Melakaraya area. We went pretty late, about 2pm-ish and yet the queue is still long! Nevertheless, the wait was not that long. We observed that the dishes come within 10 minutes after sitting down, so most of the dishes may have already been prepared way earlier.
Chicken rice balls are one of the most fun (and delicious) foods to try when you visit Melaka in Malaysia - you should try them at Kedai Kopi Chung Wah Cafe
The dining place is just like any typical kopitiam with no aircon at all but the price of the foods are definitely cheaper and the foods are quite nice too.
What is so unique about this place? Well, is just that the rice had turn into round shape. Chicken is pretty normal and nothing to shout about.
The Baboon House is also a pet friendly restaurant. The Baboon House Location: No.89, Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock Phone: +60 12-601 0363 Opening Hours: 1000 - 1700 Wednesday to Monday 1000 - 1900…
Ranked 2 out of 548 restaurants in Malacca, this place is the worst kept secret in Malacca. Despite its high rank and popularity, the place still exudes its unique style and provides all patrons with space to relax and enjoy a moment of tranquil peace from the usual bustling craze outside its doors.
It has been a while since we posted Melaka food so this is one of the recent restaurant we visited this year. This is one of the hidden gems that is not popular with tourists. Low Yong Moh Dim Sum Restaurant opened since 1947 and it is one of the oldest restaurants in Melaka. They are located at 32, Jalan Tokong Melaka and they open daily for breakfast except Tuesdays. Low Yong Moh is owned by the Hakka from Fui Chiew.
Parsley Pork Dumpling – overall same as siu mai but have a strong flavor of parsley within the minced pork, taste-wise is great but still hate the super dried texture.
Still, its still a decent place for some food and a light breakfast.

Once I knew I was heading to Melaka for a short trip, the first thing on my mind was Cendol1!! Jonker 88 was my favourite since the first time I went when I was 14 years old. *10 years ago, I'm old.*
Food ordering is self service here at Jonker 88. Before you order, you need to find a table first. Then you also need to bring the food to your own table. The food is prepared pretty fast so even if there is a long queue, it won’t be a long wait.
We ordered the Jumbo Baba Laksa, which cost a bomb (RM 10++). When I am at Malacca, I normally opt for curry laksa, the one with coconut milk, and not the one akin to asam laksa, with kembung fish and dark clear soup. I absolutely love their laksa! I love the soup for its creaminess but it's not full of fats kind of creaminess.
We wrap up the whole meal with a plate of stir-fry cabbage RM3.00 (RM1.50 per head) since the lady boss highly recommends to us, just decided to have it since it was cheap and need to meet our fiber intake quota for that day. 😉 Guess our tongue was malfunctioning because we really felt that the stir-fried cabbage was the best dish we had throughout the meal (the first dish we cleared in Hoe Kee), cabbage has an irresistible crunchy texture and tend to be less greasy, super sweet and flavourful with a delightful scent of garlic – with this dish alone guess we can clear a plate of plain rice without any problem!
Price : 5.0 / 10 ( 1 – Expensive , 10 – Cheap) Taste : 7.0 / 10 ( 1 – Nightmare , 10 – Heaven). Service : 6.5 / 10 ( 1 – Terrible , 10 – Good) Environment : Restaurant Seats Availability : Very limited but short waiting time Parking : Very limited
Hoe Kee Chicken Rice, a popular destination for Hainanese Chicken Rice Balls.
Its a nice place and once again Thank You the owner for being so nice allowing us to chip in after his operating hours. I really favor nyonya food therefore my choice of selection is quite particular so may not be the best Nyonya food that I have tried but definitely is one of the famous in Malacca that you can tried some local taste with reasonable price. Rating: 6.8 /10
Finally here comes our long-awaited main dish, The Sambal Udang Petai RM19.00 featuring stir-fry prawn and bitter bean in hot sauce. The overall dish tastes rather spicy, has an irresistible sweet and sour flavor, a perfect dish that will make you enjoy another bowl of rice in no time! 😉

This place is way too popular, we came before the shop opened and was the first batch to went in. Service is great, food is good and the environment is nice. So it is popular for good reasons.

The pasta, which has spaghetti with mushroom, chicken ham and crunchy smoked duck topped with a poached egg and shaved parmesan, is delicious. The noodles are cooked al dente, giving them a nice bite, and the sauce is creamy without being overwhelming.
