For decent Hokkien Mee in the KLCC area, check out Malaysia Boleh! food court at Fours Seasons Place KL. I like that the noodles was not overburnt and the sambal was quite tasty with a nice kick. I just wished the noodles had slightly more wok hei.
This round we also got to try the Wantan Mee @ RM9 and I was happy to see pun fei sau (half lean-half fat) cut of char siew given without requesting for it. Not only that, the noodles also came topped with crispy chee yau char...and that's why you can taste the fragrant lard oil in the sauce that's used to toss the noodles in. It may not be among the better ones that I've had, but overall, still a decent plate of wantan mee.
A plate of nasi lemak (MYR 3.50+) and one deep fried chicken thigh (MYR 5+) making it a total of MYR 8.50+ (MYR 9 nett). The rice is soft with a tinge of coconut milk. For my friend who do not eat much sambal, the rice can be a bit dry as this stall does not have any other curry gravy to go with the rice. For those who will mix the rice with the sambal, they won't find the rice to be dry.
But for now without further ado, here presenting to you the finespun 20 Sushi Omakase Course by Sushi Hibiki 鮨ひびき this fall.

Reasons to visit Poseidon Reserve Caviar & Oyster Bar: Where else if you’re thinking oysters and caviar! A great place to visit in a group for champagne afternoons or a nice dinner over choice seafood in a quiet setting. Poseidon is also a go-to for an impressive array of uncomplicated seafood dishes, western-style and non-buffet. On Wednesdays, they have a ladies night promotion from 4pm-10pm where oysters are 1 for 1.
Once more, the price was the biggest problem, as the staff were very friendly and helpful. 2 mains and a starter came in at RM276, which is too high, really, for regular visits, especially given the food is good rather than great. As an occasional trip, it’ll do.
For mains, we had the classic Angus steak stew with mushroom and dauphine potatoes (RM59). A terrific stew, with deliciously tender meat and a rich, flavorful sauce - this is comfort food for the soul! We also loved the Dauphine potato, essentially mashed potatoes in choux pastry, deep fried to golden perfection.
So with food which was good to excellent, decent surroundings and good service, why not a top mark? Because it is really expensive. These pizzas cost RM50-60, which is a lot more than anywhere else here I’ve tried. Worth a treat if you’re a meat eater who enjoys Asian flavours, though.
Leaving totally satisfied, this pizzeria is a must visit if you are a pizza lover.
Burnt Cheesecake with Sorbet is an innovative culinary take on the popular classic dessert. The cake contains hypnotizing and rich cheese flavour with perfectly caramelized edges, served with a scoop of whipped feijoa and pear sorbet.

Among all the food we tried, Encik Tan Singapore Laksa RM10 is our personal favourite. Looks simple but tasty. Silky Beans sprout, fish cake slices, tau pok and halved egg top over silky smooth noodles in rich, bright orange broth – simple, but tasty. Love how the aromatic hints of stir-fried dried shrimp helps to lift up the overall flavours.

Thirty8 is famous for its incredible view, overseeing the city skyline of Kuala Lumpur and The twin towers, while sipping on your tea, hanging out with your friends or family, and have some dessert.
Overall, THIRTY8 offers one of the best views of the KL cityscape. However, we found the food to be hit-or-miss. In summary – come for the view, but temper your expectations for the food.

The revisit to Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum is rewarding. The quality of the food and the ambiance of the place remains the same after so many years. For the pricing of their dim sum, it is similar to some Chinese banquet restaurant price and on par or cheaper than some dim sum restaurants in other hotels in KL. In short, visiting Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum will not disappoint you.
Chef Wong takes on a bold approach with the Steamed Soon Hock with Nyonya Sauce (RM30 per 100gm). The fish is smothered in a piquant and spicy Nyonya sauce that is redolent of spices and herbs. Although the sauce is robust and heavy in flavours, one can still taste the sweetness of the firm and tender flesh of the Soon Hock fish. The dish beckons for a bowl of steamed rice as the sauce is moreish and addictive.
Fruity Yee Sang (small): pistachio, pomelo, chia seed, wax apple (jambu air), dried cranberry, white dragon fruit, dried blueberry, jackfruit, grape, deep fried dough, mandarin orange, pomegranate, pumpkin seeds, snow pear, apple, peanut, and carrot. Tasty and refreshing! MYR 108 nett
Reasons to visit Shang Palace KL: attractive, traditional setting; warm hospitality; fresh ingredients; delicious Peking duck.
Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of the most prominent hotels in the capital city.
While prices are steep, it makes up for quality and would definitely be a well-deserved treat.
One of the must try is their Smoked Lamb Ribs (RM 98.00 nett). One can enjoy the 360g of Lamb Ribs which is beautifully smoked with the hickory wood, and then seasoned with their signature spice blend and then glazed with their house-made barbecue sauce and grilled till perfection. The meat comes awesomely delicious and tender which makes it heavenly with no gammy smell in it. And what’s more is they are sides with the seasoned fries and fresh vegetables. Yummz !
食物美味不在话下,价格乍看之下感觉好像贵了些,但看到份量的时候就觉得还好了。
One Night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp This dish was a favorite of mine. There were medium sized prawns coated in spicy sauce with a nice amount of sesame seeds and green onions sprinkled on it. You do not need to worry about the sauce being too hot – it wasn’t. It somewhat resembled the reddish orange sauce commonly used to coat Korean Fried Chicken?? The difference here is the flavor itself. First, the mild spicyness will hit you, immediately followed by short burst of sour tanginess. I think a drizzle of lemon zest was added too. It was delicious. If it wasn’t for the others being around, I’d most probably ‘hantam’ it all by myself but since that was not the case, ‘kena jaga imej’ right? Lol.
CHICKEN Chasseur | Spatzle | Autumn Vegetables CHICKEN, main course that you will hardly go wrong with. Fried chicken leg done right – crispy crackly skin, shielding juicy, tender meat beneath. What raise our attention are these homemade German spaetzle, a type of pasta made from eggs, flour, water and salt. Mini and doughy, goes well with chasseur sauce served along.
Reasons to check out the reopening of Skillet at 163 KL and their modern European cuisine menu: exciting seasonal menu; contemporary and stylish setting; beautifully plated food; must try the Venison Pithivier and do have a look at their juice pairing by Chris Chung here.
Next is the Lobster, an absolutely flawless dish, both in terms of presentation and flavours. Extremely pleasing to the eye, the butter poached lobster is embellished with celery, apple, edible flowers and rutabaga (swede) with mascarpone. To go with the lobster, a sauce made from fermented apples with fish broth is poured tableside, finished with a few drops of kombu oil. Beautiful, delicate flavours.. loved it!
Reason to visit Tao Chinese Cuisine: delicious Chinese cuisine, attentive service, fresh produce, beautiful setting, must try the Peking duck.
Salted Egg Prawn (RM 88) The Salted egg prawn is perfectly an indulgence. The prawns are deep fried till perfection well coated with the salted egg which leaves you aromatic flavours.

What do we like about Tatsu InterContinental? -The freshi sashimi sushi -The juicy grilled salmon -The quiet environment on a Saturday afternoon. The staff brought us to the side with lower table and it was just us throughout the lunch. The view from window was great! -The comfortable sofa seats
Overall, the sashimi, without a doubt was great and fresh. Tempura was also done well. Crunchy skin dipped into tempura sauce elevated the taste and texture.
