I definitely ate more than I should, the food was way more than enough for 7 of us and burp.
I've lost count of the number of times I've dined at BITP but I know I'll definitely visit again real soon. I just can't get enough of their signature soup and fried fish skin!
The service is excellent but I felt extremely uncomfortable when they bowed 90 degrees to us every time after they served us.
Food at 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen spans traditional Italian cuisine, in particular, pizza and rotisserie chicken. Their pizza in particular is outstanding, made using quality ingredients and freshly baked over a blend of various types of wood, rivaling the best restaurants around.
Islandwide delivery is available for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home, simply order via order.800degreessg.com
Their seriousness towards the whole process of preparing a neapolitan pizza, from importing Neapolitan flour from Italy to utilising an actual wood-fired oven is admirable.
Gyu-Kaku states on its website that they promise high quality and fresh food with wonderful atmosphere and reasonable price.
Rocky Master @ KINEX offers not only delicious Halal food that won’t break the bank but also good service and ambience.
We were quite impressed by the menu of Old Hong Kong Kitchen and we thought the taste and quality of the food were quite good.
xioalongbao 小笼包 here average. quite ok but other places like crystal jade, imperial treasures etc are better.
In any case, should I get craving for it, I know I must sacrifice sleep once more.
No doubt that Mr & Mrs Mohgan Prata is popular and known for its crispiness, but I find that there are still better Prata around. Nonetheless, the service rendered is friendly and I do not mind making a return trip to Joo Chiat if my friends are keen on it.
It has been awhile since I had Mr and Mrs Moghan’s Prata. In fact the last time was at their old location at Crane Rd. Now at Tin Yeang Coffee Shop on the corner of Joo Chiat Rd and Dunman Rd, it was time I visited again.
Many people cannot do without social media nowadays and I am one of them; for me, social media is informative with groups like taobao shoppi...
Food at Fong Sheng Hao is focused on Taiwanese breakfast dishes, especially charcoal-grilled toast sandwiches. The fragrance of fresh brewed coffee and tea lingers, while around, metal plates are piled with succulent sandwiches.
Taiwanese chain Fong Sheng Hao seems to be a big deal here in Singapore. It has long queues and people rave about it. I went and tried out their TW Special Sandwich. I was very, very, very unimpres…
Long Phung vietnamese restaurant in Joo Chiat is known for reasonably priced authentic Vietnamese food. It has a new outlet in Chinatown.
Another trip to Long Phung reminds me of how good it is. Beef Pho and Chicken Noodles are definitely deep in flavors and tender noodles and meat. Stir-Fried Squid in a Sweet and Sour sauce was a li…
Long Phung on Joo Chiat Road is a must for all SEA foodies - the best Vietnamese you are likely to get in Singapore - prepare to queue, but it is worth it
I love Sushi and Sashimi, but I have always been on the fence in regards to Donburi and Poke. I am not sure why, it just seems like it is all mixed together and you enjoy it almost the same way. Bu…
Very average chirashi don.
Food at Donburi King is Japanese cuisine, focused on rice bowls. Ingredients are fresh and tasty, resulting in quality of most dishes being pretty good. The menu has good variety, so repeat visits are worthwhile. Portions are large for individuals. Prices are reasonable and affordable, budget about SGD $28 per person.
HEAR:Click to listen/ download podcast of this week’s spicy, prawn-packed episode! SEE: Hello Makan Kakis, so the most-coveted dish of 2021 on this blog was prawn noodles. It would seem you c…
Price wise, this comes cheaper than Da Dong and the waiting time is probably shorter as well. It is a good alternative if you want to have a competent bowl of prawn noodles in Joo Chiat.
The stock was more crustaceany and prawny, plus thick and layered, but not so sweet. The prawns were really fresh and sweet, so much so that you could pull the flesh off the shell very easily. Wah Kee was still the gold standard, of the prawny rather than porky broth as it was here, although this was really not bad.
We had a pleasant dining experience at Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King Niku King.
Prices are not extravagant, and you do get more than a fair amount of decent food.
We tried all three styles with flavoured egg and added additional S$1.00 per portion for spicy paste for the Miso Ramen.
Eating at British Hainan will feel like a time travel experience.
British Hainan Joo Chiat review of Quirky Restaurant for Hainanese Western Food at Carpmael Road Singapore with pictures of menu with price
Yes, and in fact I have returned and brought my folks to check this place out again since. Love the Oxtail Stew I had, and you should as well. Escape Singapore by visiting British Hainan.
Hajjah Jamillah Raj mohamed Muslim Food is located at Haig Road Market and food centre. I previously ate the wanton mee from Kiat Huat 吉發雲吞麵 and mee rebus from Afandi Hawa & Family Mee Rebus.
he noodles are done springy-crunchy, the aromatic sauce is savoury spicy with pulpy chili, soy sauce, sesame oil and lard.
Though not quite as elaborate as some of the others but this is a refreshing choice nonetheless.
The nice kampung / small town setting makes eating here particularly enjoyable.
Totally no short-cuts here, their fish products are really a craft of passion!
anyway it was really enjoyable for all of us
Yakiniku Like in Paya Lebar Quarter is a specialty yakiniku fast food restaurant for affordable Japanese BBQ. We have not managed to eat in the popular restaurant but we enjoyed a good Yakiniku Like Takeaway meal at home.
If you love a good meal of grilled meats and no frills concept, you should head down to Yakiniku Like soon.
I love yakiniku, but it's pricey. So this chain from Japan sounded promising, as they were serving cheap sets as fast food under the name Yakiniku Like (10 Paya Lebar Road #B1-28, 6970-7397).
Charcoal-Grill & Salad Bar Keisuke, a new concept restaurant of Chef Keisuke Takeda’s chain, offers a variety of sumiyaki (charcoal-grilled) dishes. The restaurant in Paya Lebar Square is quite compact and can accommodate about 30 guests during normal times. With safe-distancing measures, even fewer diners can get to eat in the restaurant.
To me, this is a place I could go back to repeatedly for a good, comforting and satisfying meal at pretty affordable prices.
Food that is cooked over charcoal seals in the moisture and flavour, giving consistently tender and succulent results.
Kanada-ya’s award-winning, flavourful pork bone broth is first boiled for 18-hours, making it rich and creamy before mixing in a secret sauce to add flavour and umami to the broth.
Kanada-Ya specialized in the authentic Tonkotsu ramen, the award-wining, rich and flavouful pork bone broth boiled for 18 hours before mixing in a secret sauce to add flavour and umami to the broth.
This is a satisfactory meal. The ramen is good. Not my top 5 favourite ramen shops in Singapore. But good enough to sate any ramen cravings.
A relatively under-the-radar stall in the east, I like that the waiting time is minimal which makes it a fuss-free meal option for me. An above average plate of Fried Kway Teow which I will return for.
Located in a Joo Chiat coffee shop, Joo Chiat Place Fried Kway Teow sells one of the best char kway teow with strong wok hei!
Good wok hei, wet, soft and mushy, with the egg mixed in thoroughly, producing a balanced symphony of eggy, dark sauce sweet and light soy sauce savoury, and cockle-briny flavours. Oily enough without being cloying. One of the nicest char kway teows I have tried. I will travel here specially for this.
Coffee is a 6 Letter Word and that’s how we started in 2019 at Tanjong Katong Road.
259 Tanjong Katong Road, Singapore 437047, open Sun to Thu 8am to 7pm, Fri and Sat 8am to 8pm
To be frank, i absolutely love the vibes when i stepped in; bright with no over-the-top decorations and there were plenty of green plants that contrasted nicely with the place's whiteness!
