A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
Shake Shack is one of those places that I try around the world. I’ve had it in a number of countries now and it took me awhile before I tried it here in Singapore.
It was really just about more salt and grease, but yeah, it was nice that they used shallots rather than gigantic onion rings.
The buns are made with almond flour, and it was obvious from the very tender texture that it wasn't your usual bun.
The Butcher’s Kitchen, which is an extension of The Butcher, a renowned Australian butchery with over 15 years of history in Singapore, serves up quality meats and gourmet dishes made with fresh, safe and healthy ingredients.

The ribs are truly a gorgeous treat. However, if you feel like staying in or want to cater for a party, Morganfield's does takeaway and delivery.
Overall dining experience here at Morganfield's was lovely; was glad that I revisited.
If you have a big family or a group of friends with a large appetite, Morganfield’s oversized platters is the perfect choice for sharing.
This was always crowded when I passed it on weekends. So I took the chance to try it on a less crowded weekday night. Indeed not bad – light, fluffy and slightly sweet and creamy. Probably tasted better served with the sugary pastel pink decor.
We liked the piccolo latte – the small but mighty mellowed espresso with steamed milk. The Orange Mocca Ice Brew was interesting but not something we really fancied. We would stick to classic coffee.
Good for ladies who are looking to shoot with instagrammable pancakes!
I was surprised to find bite-size Fukuoka style Gyoza here. The skin was not as thin compared to those that I had in Fukuoka, but the crisp skirt was good enough for me.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that they're mediocre but it didn't give me a reason to come back.
Tasty and unique. The portion was huge with lots of ingredients, definitely worth every single cent of it. I can’t wait to go back for Tomato King again!
The Taro Cha Cha, Taro Kacang, and Taro Balls will be available across all of Milksha’s outlets.
Milksha uses 100% natural fresh milk and other natural ingredients such as sugar from sugar cane for their products, with no preservatives, chemical ingredients or artificial colourings.
Customers can try out the self-service kiosk and enjoy their favourite bubble teas. Alternatively, they also order their drinks over at the counter.
Despite their short tenure at the cosy corner of Suntec City, the cafe has seen many supporters visit from all over the world
Gudetama cafe is worth checking out as the food actually tastes better than many other themed cafes out there.
As you can tell, I’m highly pleased with my experience at the Gudetama Cafe.
Finally, I can strike off COCA from my list. Comparing the hot pot restaurants available in Singapore, there are better ones out there.
we couldn’t leave without also trying the Flaming Huadiao Phoenix Broth. This update of the old, clear chicken broth is double-boiled for eight hours to achieve its milky richness.
Mala Fish Skin is quite addictive and surprisingly the spiciness and numbness is still within my limits.
The nicest thing we had was their tea with milk. Look, kaleidoscopic froth!
I miss having a good steak, Living in Singapore it’s easy to get a steak, but a good one and at a good price is not easy.
On the SIMPLEburgers side, they had a "beef " burger versus a "natural beef" burger, with the latter being pure beef while the former had fillers like onions. I tried to get a taste of both by grabbing a cheaper beef burger while adding a "natural beef" patty on top of it.
There's a big pork mazesoba on the menu. It's not bad.
Menya Kokoro New Items are in generous portion. Surely to satisfy hunger dinners’ stomach.
For a more substantial meal, dishes such as Crispy Pork Chop ($11), Fried Rice in Shanghai Style ($12.80), and Stir-fried French Bean with Minced Pork & Preserved Olive Vegetable ($12.80) would fit the bill just nicely.
Fried rice with medley of shrimp, minced pork and chopped kai lan tossed with fluffy grains of rice.
I am sure Paradise Dynasty @ Suntec City will satisfy the hung pang and nourish the Executive working in the area.
Overall, Udon Kamon provides a good place to enjoy the Sanuki Udon.
Nestled in Eat At Seven, Suntec City Mall, Udon Kamon doles out sanuki udon, the most popular type of udon in the Shikoku region.
the tricoloured chilled udon! Homemade and perfect for lazy summer days, the offerings are a first of its kind in Singapore.
The sushi restaurant at Eat at Seven has an extensive menu. Sushi and sashimi take centre stage but there are also other cooked food items. Here are just a few sample pages from the MaguroDonya Miuramisakikou Sushi menu. We decided to try some sushi and sashimi items.
Maguro Donya is the perfect place to satisfy your Japanese food cravings with its quality and affordable Japanese cuisine.
What a delightful meal! I'm so coming back for the maguro!
Overall, I would give Wonderful Bapsang the following rating: Food: 4/5 Space & Ambience: 4/5 Service: 4/5

It’s a place I’d gladly come even if I have to suffer the wrath of the sun again.
花勝只有20多个座位,菜单上也只有一道主菜,而隔壁的天丼琥珀又经常在大排长龙,换成是我的话,干脆把两家二合为一,直接了当。
Overall, I was quite satisfied with the quality of the food here.
The Cinnamon Churros (SGD $3.90) here are among the tastiest versions of this dessert.
With just 3 categories of food options, Tacos, Bowls, Sides and Sweets, it is no brainer what a hungry diner should look at. In my case, I ended up ordering this much.
Lime Truck’s tacos has earned them a bevy of accolades including Winner of Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race,” and Yahoo!’s “Top 10 Trucks in America” 3 years running ever since its founder Iranian American Daniel Shemtob started the business in 2010.
That said, Dookki is worth the price you pay. At this point, there’s no other place where you can get a tteokbokki buffet in Singapore, with plenty of variety in this interesting concept. Definitely one for the carb-lovers.
It was a fun, memorable and hearty meal that brought smiles to the table.
With delicious tteokbooki at affordable prices in a casual setting, Dookki is suitable for relaxing date nights, as well as friends gatherings. Worth the visit.

The food is decent, service is attentive but I will not wait in line for this.
One thing that Aburi-EN definitely need to improve on their service. There are quite a number of crews available but they are not attentive.
One of the earliest market entrants, Gong Yuan Mala Tang, started off with just the one stall in Suntec City Mall, and now it's sprouted five outlets.
This malatang chain has been spreading across the island, and with long lines at lunchtime too. I was near one today and waited patiently in line after picking out my ingredients.
