Famous Eunos Bak Chor Mee is in one of the Eunos MRT coffeeshops and was a nice quick bowl of comfortable noodles.
The noodles were springy and firm, tossed to al dente, but slippery - almost like slurping a bowl of Ramen in Japan!
One of the best soup Bak Chor Mee I have had, this is one stall I will be back again.
The her kiao had a nice, thick, gelatinous and slightly sticky skin, with a nicely seasoned meat filling within. The fishballs and fish cakes were springy and juicy, and the soup was old school light and sweet.
Head to Chao Yang Fishball Noodle (潮阳手工鱼丸粿条面汤) early for their excellent fishball noodles. Must order their fish dumplings!
I would highly recommend trying the Her Kiao here.
The hawker landscape is changing, especially with next-gen hawkers giving the scene a breath of fresh air.
The soup was of the Bedok Fengshan bak chor mee variety, light yet meaty and umami. The pork was fresh, although the dumplings were almost just skin, but tasty nonetheless.
I feel that this chicken rice is still one of the best that I’ve tasted.
I did not actually like the chilli as the ginger taste was a little overpowering.
The lor was thick, gooey, balanced savoury sweet and flavourful. On top of the fried pork balls with five spice, crispy soft fried fish nuggets, sliced pork belly and half braised egg, the bowl came with quite a bit of fried batter bits, both from the fried meatballs and the fried fish. This provided a really nice variation in terms of texture and bite, with the batter themselves tasting really nice too.
Mami Midah Briyani: Located at Eunos Crescent Market & Food Centre is a renowned for its authentic nasi briyani dishes, today we tried Mutton!
The chwee kueh was dense yet soft, smooth and slightly glutinous sticky with a nice and sweet rice fragrance. The chai por was of moderate oiliness, saltiness and slightly sweet. The whole thing was light and went down easily.

Dunman Char Siew Wanton Mee (德明叉烧雲吞面) relocated from Dunman Food Centre to Eunos. It occupies a stall in a coffeeshop at Block 7 Eunus Crescent.
The soup was lightly flavored with pepper and fried garlic. Both fried fish and sliced fish were tasted relatively fresh.
The coconut milk infused rice was fluffy and the chilli has got a good balance of spiciness and sweetness. The star has to be the well-seasoned fried chicken wing that happened to be freshly fried.
BBW Western Food has dishes that are undoubtedly a cut above the rest, and I might even go as far as to say that some are almost restaurant-worthy.
The la mian was QQ and very chewy. It was not like the commercial la mian, as it is handmade by the uncle using wheat flour in-house!
A relatively under-the-radar stall in the east, I like that the waiting time is minimal which makes it a fuss-free meal option for me. An above average plate of Fried Kway Teow which I will return for.
Located in a Joo Chiat coffee shop, Joo Chiat Place Fried Kway Teow sells one of the best char kway teow with strong wok hei!
Good wok hei, wet, soft and mushy, with the egg mixed in thoroughly, producing a balanced symphony of eggy, dark sauce sweet and light soy sauce savoury, and cockle-briny flavours. Oily enough without being cloying. One of the nicest char kway teows I have tried. I will travel here specially for this.
The laksa was really creamy, lemak and fragrant, with nice dredges, fresh and sweet prawns, and smooth and bouncy bee hoon. The laksa gravy was really layered, balanced, sweet and drinkable; not spicy at all. The bee hoon was smooth and bouncy. Really enjoyable.

George’s Katong Laksa is considered one of the best Laksas in Singapore. I hadn’t tried it until a friend asked me to meet her there for it.
You Kee XO Restaurant Joo Chiat Review
It specialises in roasted meats; and the famous char siew (barbequed pork loin) of You Kee XO Restaurant is one of the best we had tried.
Choosing my favourite roast meat at You Kee XO Restaurant was akin to choosing my favourite TWICE album.
This stall serves Malaysian-style fruit rojak, like those from Penang. Leong Gwo Wei, the owner, he stumbled upon Lim Bo (林伯), aka Uncle Lim, his rojak stall in Kuala Lumper, and decided to ask him to teach after tasting the rojak about 3 years ago. Uncle Lim agreed to do so for a price. He mastered the skills and returned to Singapore, starting the stall in April 2021. Overall, the unusual toppings and freshness of the fruits at Bo 林伯 Fresh Fruits Rojak are worth making a trip down for!

With a long history in Peranakan food, I was expecting more from them. Overall, I find that the food was quite ordinary and there are better ones out there I have tried.
Started in 1953, this restaurant boasts to be the oldest Peranakan restaurant in Singapore.
Overall dinner was pleasant with friendly service staffs and hearty homely feel dishes here.

Ah Lim Mee Pok and Kway Teow Soup Joo Chiat Place review one of best mee pok in Singapore, with pictures of noodles, menu and coffee shop
It’s not often I’m up early, nor is it often I’m in the East side of the island, but if I am, it’s usually for just one thing: breakfast after a workout at East Coast Park. One of the go-to places …
Seng Coffee Bar is a new cafe in an old building along Changi Road. Coffee above average but the creative latte art made them more enjoyable!
Our favourite was definitely the Pork Belly Risotto, though the other mains were pretty good as well.
I’ll definitely be back to try out the different items on the menu, maybe on payday or for a birthday celebration because it’s rather pricy.
