Head down to Secret Of Louisiana located in the heart of Petaling jaya while enjoying the memorable moment with sunset by the Lake .
Finally, it was our long awaited dinner time! We had dinner at Secret of Louisiana! This was my second visit. We were also celebrating my birthday when we were here 2 years ago. But, we didn't make a reservation at that time, so we didn't get a nice table. This time, hubby made a reservation through Offpeak. Therefore, we not only got a nice table just right beside the lake, we also got a 10% discount! :P
With a nice view by the lake, it is not a surprise that this restaurant for office workers to take a break from their confined cubicles to have their lunches. The limitless pasta, salad, soup and drink for one adult costs only RM19.90 from Monday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, it costs RM22.00 per adult. Adults with kids will also enjoy this family friendly dining atmosphere as kids get to eat for RM13.90 per child any day of the week. The availability hours are from 11.30am to 3.00pm. This offer is also available during eve and public holidays. The price is 6% GST inclusive but exclude a 10% service charge.
A must-visit café if you’re looking for a cool place to take pictures with your friends and also if you’re a fan of waffles, cakes, and coffee! This is also a great place for you if you are looking for a comfortable environment with relaxing music to calm your mind!
This is definitely one Cafe I can be at as an alternative to Co-Working spaces.
That cake though …. da bomb!! I mean, it sure was finger licking good. If you are a fan of ‘pandan’ – you’d certainly love this. Before the cake even reaches your table, you would be able to smell the tempting, distinct aroma of the pandan. Then, when it finally arrives at your table, digging into it and savoring it… yuuuuuummmmmm. I was instantly in love. The taste of ‘Gula Melaka” was evident too. Unlike cakes at most other cafes, whereby the gula melaka is often just a sprinkle/drizzle on the top, here, it comes with a generous layer. The cake itself, over all, was soft and moist. The grated coconut on the top was an excellent addition as it provided a difference in texture. I’d certainly give this cake a go again.
!0.90 ringgit for a full plate of Indian goodies, seriously? I do not come by many Indian eateries that offer me good food at an affordable price these days. Another reason why i KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE. The chicken in the picture above, those are my favorites. It if fried , packed with spice, served in small, crunchy meaty pieces that just makes a dish delicious. Add in thick, flavorful chicken curry? Yumm! The food always tasted fresh – the meat, vegetables, everything. Loved every bit of my experience here.
Definitely check out Asian Rice Pot for fantastic Southern indian cuisine at affordable prices. Nice friendly staff and a clean, comfortable environment are huge plus points too!
What's my say on Asian Rice Pot? Mutton Parathal fared quiet okay. Soft tender easily chewable meat in a tasty thick spicy gravy/curry, cooked alongside the customary spices and chillies. However, it lacked the spicy kick I am accustomed to. Even my friends agreed with me. Thank god. The Chicken varuval, another common fare was a decent dish though I won't give it a hype. Basically, just ordinary. The rest of the side items we tucked into were decently elevated too.
TGIF...peeps! A new month has came and I am ready for a new adventure day. During dinner time, I headed to BBQ Korea's No.1 Chicken Restaurant at Kelana Jaya. BBQ Chicken offers a contemporary casual dining experience in a unique concept called Premium Cafe. They serve a wide range of tasty yet healthy food to maximize customers' satisfaction worldwide. But first, thanks to the user-friendly apps - Kiple for inviting me to BBQ Chicken Restaurant. By the way, does anyone aware of Kiple apps? Basically, Kiple is makes the most of your income with solid rebates and deals that you care about. They innovate to improve your end-to-end shop, dine and pay experience.

The first time LC and I were there, I had a small ikan pari. The portion tends to vary depending on the cook so if you'd like an exact size, pick it out yourself at the grill. The pari was beautifully charred and smothered with a tasty sauce which is also served to you as a dipping sauce alongside a fish curry sans fish. The fish came off the bone in beautiful flakes and was not overcooked nor undercooked.
The pasta sauce basically taste very much the same, tomatoey with hints of chicken granules taste (as i find it is little bit too salty), not going back definitely.
I did enjoy this sweet breakfast.
I'd say good combinations, although a little salty as expected but tasty, appetizing, and satisfying meal.
Food today: 7 / 10 👍👍😋😋
This is the 8th visit to Milligram since October 27, and some days like today, the Café is almost empty before 12pm and then empty again after 2pm.
Char Siew Wan Tan Mee (big), 9.50 ringgit. Between the noodles and the rice, I thought the noodles were better. It was gooood, delicious. The noodles here are slightly thinner than usual, springy. The char siew was tender and juicy, provided the noodles with a lil sweetness. It was good, I’d give this dish a go again.
4-Star (out of 5). Famous Seremban Favourites have one of the best char siew that I have ever tasted. Nice contrast of light crisp and juicy soft textures. Delicate, perfect balance of savoury, sweet and natural porky flavours. This is the first time that I've ever used the "P" word to describe food in my blog.
Be prepared to wait for at least 15 minutes to 20 minutes during lunch time as the restaurant will be very packed. You might even have a hard time catching a staff to take your order or paying for your food!
Next, curry gravy. Their staff will bring the curry container and you will be spoiled with choices, as they have chicken curry, fish curry, crab curry and salted fish curry. Our favorite, will be fish and crab curry. But why limit ourselves, the best we would say, little scoop of everything to made it a curry combo (haha), Yummy !!!
We enjoyed the BLR here for its good offering of veggies and curries. We recommend the fried fish, mutton varuval and ikan bilis sambal.
The Chicken Varuval was really good. I specifically requested for chicken breast because I’d rather forego the bones and they delivered. The ‘Small’ option came with 4 meaty, juicy, flavorful chicken meat. It was an awesome addition to the banana leaf rice. The fried fish too, was tender and flavorful. Overall, a good experience. I’d be back for more. Burp!
What do We Like about B & Best Restaurant? -FRESH seafoods. The oysters were so fresh, tasty and easy on the pocket -The service was good
Overall, we would rate B & Best as “above average” in our books when it comes to fish noodles. However, the fried fish cake here is still exceptionally good – and warrants an order if you’re visiting!
Located in SS4, "潮州魚丸海鮮麵粥家 Restoran B & Best" offers seafood noodles as early as 7:30am.
Chun Kee Pan Mee at Restoran Kean Fatt SS3 offers one of the best traditional pan mee in this part of Klang Valley. This is something you can check out if you are craving for traditional pan mee and especially if spicy is your middle name.
No. 2, Jalan SS 3/59e, Taman Universiti, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Sela...
Overall, I like the pork patties more than the pork slices but there isn't a strong 'porky smell' so it's all good. One thing to note is that uncle's cooking can get a bit inconsistent with the flavor of the soup but that's nothing a dash of soy sauce can't fix.
We ordered two sets of ‘eggs on toast’, yes two same set I can’t remember why, different toast though. To be frank I can’t remember the taste at the point of writing this, it was just usual toast with rockets and egg. Nothing more I can describe. Will let the pictures tell the taste.
Fresh loaves slices served with dainty Japanese butter, pepper and sea salt. Quite interesting as the Japanese butter renders a rather subtle taste compared to my usual fave French butter.
Widely known for its sourdough and croissant, other bakeries such as baguette, kanelbullar, canele and cakes are also available. They are baked freshly every day, basically you could get all sort of carbs and happiness in the quiet neighbourhood of Taman Rasa Sayang at Petaling Jaya.
能在这么舒适的环境之下,吃上一餐经济的午餐,我觉得这是超值了~趁着新餐单还未下架,我要多来几次才行。
氛围和食物都有达标
For those who love surprise, I would highly recommend No Idea.
The rm$7 "豬扒冷米粉 Pork Chop cold noodles" Vietnamese style, is like a Super-Charged Power bowl of Salad.
the teh tarik and kopi are both definitely worth sampling!
"猪小弟の美食 Pig Brother House" offers Pork chop rice or noodles from rm$8 to rm$9.90.
The sight of Uncle Ayub's rojak truck has provided me much comfort during happy and not so happy days for as long as I can remember. The environment is simply a healer. The green field is visited by birds and wind and protected from the sun by a natural canopy of foliage. Merely furnished with upcycled wooden cable drums, plastic chairs and seats contributed by the public playground, this rojak truck has been the go-to rojak place for lunch and tea in the neighborhood. Residents in the garden seem to have assimilated Uncle Ayub's business in their lives since 1985.
If you like your rojak pasembur sweetish, a lil spicy, nutty – this would certainly do it for you. The rojak gravy was thick and flavorful, simply letting it soak into the prawn fritters, turnips, cucumber, squid, tauhu and egg was da bomb, yawwww.
One of the better rojaks, ask for more sotong if you’re into a more intense flavor!https://kyspeaks.com/2010/04/10/mamak-rojak-pasembur-at-taman-bahagia/
LUCKY LOKE SS3 Best Chinese Tai Chow Restaurant In Petaling Jaya. RESTAURANT LUCKY LOKE in SS3, Petaling Jaya was introduced to me by one of my PJ friends, also a foodie Makan kakies that usually go ‘Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan’ during our regular gathering to meet up with good friends over some good foo…
Thai-Style Signature Fried Fish is indeed one of the most memorable dishes I had at Lucky Loke. My good makan friend was raving about it - recommending that we must come to eat here just for this special garlic-chillies fish dish.
We enjoyed our dinner and are planning to be back at Lucky Loke. I was salivating looking at stewed pork knuckles and a dish known as 一煲鸡 "one pot chicken" on other customers' tables which I want to come back to try.
All of the hawkers stalls are now re-positioned in an "island" inside the kopitiam, and as usual no outdoor seating are allowed yet as of today.
The prawn based soup of this hawker stall was thicker, and the side chili sauce was also good. Wished thick black coffee was stronger but good enough to kick start the day!
While driving out of SS24 after breakfast, noticed a 大山脚 Bukit Mertajam Pork Noodle shop along SS24/8 across the road from the SS24 Market, maybe I will go for later this week.
Char Siew & Golden Bun is nice, as you bite into the bun the egg custard is gushing out. Prawn fritters is part of their special dim sum variety with good filling for RM10.00.
opens early, non-Halal
Overall, I will go for their fish paste in and on anything, Puffs, Paus and CCF with Char Siew inside and their lighter Dim Sum as I will try to avoid some of their platters with heavier sauces which deliver the sweet notes.
Modern and spacious ambience. Grilled Cheese Sandwich is pretty good.
No faults with the lovely hand-pour Peruvian beans (RM20) and Flat White (RM13) that day. Clarity came thru with the pour over.
Drift Coffee menu focuses on coffee, tea, along with pastries & cake that you can choose from the dessert counter. Pair your cup of latte with canele, German egg tart, croissant, poppy seed butter loaf
