That's their mushroom mutter. Sliced canned mushrooms with peas in masala(?) gravy. Not bad. Had a bit of heat.
The mee siam was actually very good. I liked it quite a bit.

This place was impressively good (486 Serangoon Road, 9711-2400). It’s a South Indian vegetarian restaurant, but upscale and hip enough to do craft cocktails at a brick-lined bar in the back featuring spice-infused booze. And the food is done on small plates with some notable twists.
This place wasn't cheap after a number of their cocktails though.
The interior features brick walls, wood-paneled ceilings, and soft chandelier light fixtures reminisce of the castle while chairs decorated with colorful stag prints are matched with long wooden tables. Does it make you feel like you're at Hogwarts?
After the first visit, I am determined to go back to Xin Tekka for the mouth-watering dishes – satay, biryani, mee pok, hakka noodles and … I seriously can’t wait.
I tasted the Nasi Ulam, Nyonya Dry Laksa and Ayam Buah Keluak, and enjoyed them all.
