In conclusion, our evening at Ruk Thai Food, SS 2, was an exploration of authentic Thai flavors. Each dish was tasty. The price could be on the high side, however if you’re looking for a taste of Thailand in the heart of SS 2, Ruk Thai Food is undoubtedly a should-try.
In summary, Lao Qing Chao (老清朝中国烧烤) in SS 2 is a good spot for skewer lovers. With a diverse skewer selection, expert grilling, and an authentic burst of Chinese flavors, this restaurant is a delicious destination for anyone seeking a simple and satisfying skewer experience. Next time you’re in SS 2, make sure to stop by and savor these delectable skewers.
Verdict: All things considered, our dining experience at AGLP was relatively pleasant, with decent food and prompt service (lunch hour). Lamb pot undoubtedly a type of heavy flavoured food, if you’re not fond of such strong flavour food, this might not ideal option.
In the busy SS2/Sea Park area, you’ll find a new restaurant called Slurrp, gaining popularity for its authentic Sarawakian food. We recently visited during lunch, and it was packed. Let’s talk about what we ordered and how it tasted.
The assam mustard green was surprisingly tasty
Verdict: Quite a wallet friendly option I would say. Food wise, the roasts was decent, although not the best I’ve tried.
I heard from a PJ friend that SS2 is the most happening place in Malaysia's third largest city, Petaling Jaya, and that durian stalls were aplenty in this inner suburban area!
The Pork Shoulder Chop on its own was actually good because it was tender and moist. But the brown sauce was way too salty. So I scrapped most of it off and ate only the meat. There was also a bit of porky smell which was unfortunate.
