During my visit, i tried their thin crusted 10" pizza dough which is topped with napoli tomato paste, swiss gouda mozzarella cheese, oregano herbs, parsley, basil leaves or rockets and topping of smoked salmon, olive and onion. This pizza is tasty with its crunchy thin layer of dough. It is enough to fill up your tummy without making you feel bloated.
Teriyaki Chicken and Sesame Pasta was probably the best scorer of the day but it was a misnomer. We were expecting a dry Pasta with Teriyaki sauce as seasoning but it was in fact, a cream-based Pasta topped with Teriyaki Chicken. The sauce was alright- creamy and perfectly seasoned but the Linguine was slightly overcooked (a little too soft to our liking).
Another best brekkie specialty is the Grill Salmon & Scrambled Egg. A surprise indeed as its visual does not prepare one’s guests for the fish dish. The marinated salmon rolled into the shape of sausage goes through a grilling cooking process, and served with scrambled egg on top of a slice of wholemeal baguette. A tasty Hollandaise sauce prepared from egg yolks accompanies it well.
Barbecue Lamb Shoulder, very generous portion of lamb served to our table, well cook lamb shoulder top with the sweet sauce and pineapple. The lamb is tender and not chewy, great amount of sauce apply make it taste very good.
One thing good here is that you don't have to do any grilling or preparing jobs, all you need to do is just sit down and relax, read the menu and order your food, relax again while waiting for your food to arrive at your table, and enjoy your food when it arrives!
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from barbequed vegetables, but what we got served at Beep Beep Q definitely impressed me. The crispy yam was delicious, sliced thinly and glazed with a sweet honey and savoury sauce and sprinkled with herbs. While the mushrooms had a lovely earthy flavour. While the brocolli and zucchinis were grilled just right to still have some bite to them. I honestly can’t remember the last time I enjoyed vegetables this much! 😛 The grilled veggies hinted at more delicious-ness to come and I could hardly wait!
The Mandarin (甘) is the latest bar to hit George Town's nightlife scene.
We then had Najib... an unusual name for a main dish- roasted Spring Chicken (half bird) served with a side of Fried Potatoes (over Brown sauce). The Spring Chicken was juicy and tender... well marinated and beautifully seasoned. The Brown Sauce had not done much in its aid- a little watery and diluted to our liking. The serving portion was a little small for me though.
For starter, we had the Herbs Mushroom Bruschetta... served on a piece of crusty bread, lightly spread with Avocado and topped with Oyster Mushrooms, Feta Cheese, Cherry Tomatoes, Chick Peans, Sunflower Seeds and Pomegranate. The flavor combo was straight-forward but delicious. Seasoning was minimal but more than enough to bring out the flavors.
Here's the location.
Indian-inspired Sweet & Sour Chicken is one of the latest creations... basically grilled Chicken Thigh served atop of Japanese Rice and Sweet-Sour sauce. The combination of Japanese Rice and well-grilled Chicken Thigh speaks for itself. The Chicken was good on its own... perfectly tender and juicy; the Japanese Rice was well-executed either. We did not however, enjoy the Sweet-Sour sauce, we thought it was way too sweet to our liking. The 'Sour' factor somehow went missing and it was saccharine sweet to dip the Chicken into the sauce.
Peri-Peri chicken (RM 18.90) came with nicely grilled tenderly chicken, compliment with mash potato and salad. The peri-peri sauce did leveled the taste but isn't burning at all. The portion is a bit smaller than the regular, but well judged by the friendly price tag and the great taste though
Patois Kafe & Bistro has got to be the most curious restaurant in Penang ever, the place is usually closed and only opens during certain hours. We have made multiple attempts to visit the place but to no avail. Dining in Patois is quite an experience, the menu is small but the service is amiable. We were warmly greeted by a charming-motherly lady; she was concerned if we knew what to order (since it was our first visit), if we were comfortably seated and if the air-conditioner was blowing at the right temperature. We were certainly well-taken care of. The place is unpretentious sans the unnecessary frills, it feels exactly dining at home. Service and ambiance aside, the European-Fusion menu is standard-average with some hits and misses. Patois Kafe & Bistro is located at Service Road, off Burmah Road (right next to Chow Thye Road).
We were shocked but delighted to see the gigantic portion of this Caveman Platter which should be able to feed 3 to 5 person well. The Platter comes with 2 Chicken Sausages, 2 Pepper Lamb Sausages, 4 Chicken Kebabs, 4 Chicken Wings, as well as some Char-Grilled Lamb. Both the sausages were well-executed and delicious so does the Kebab.
Coffee Jelly 这是 No Eyed Deer 最著名的甜品。 我觉得还不错,因为我很喜欢喝咖啡。

Nash Bistro is a family-friendly bistro that offers a myriad of delectable fusion food. It’s perfect for a feast with friends and family, or even when you feel like taking a quick bite.
The signature dishes here are roasted pork slices which is crunchy and juicy at a bite and the fresh garlic scallops that is so fresh and juicy with the aroma of garlic this is the happy dish.
One of the most ordered dishes at Meqrizq would be Naan Cheese Leleh.... stringy, melted Cheese being sandwiched between soft, fluffy Naan bread. Some butter will be brushed on the surface before serving to the table, as a result of that, an irresistible buttery fragrance can be detected... followed by a dangerously addictive stringy Cheeses with a savory note. Home-made Peppermint sauce will also be provided for a more refreshing touch and to cut through the creaminess; with such combo, it will not be monotonous even after a few bites. To complete the meal, it often suggested to go with the Tandoori Chicken... well-marinated and carefully cooked. Unlike the stereotypical Tandoori Chicken which can be extremely dry, Meqrizq's rendition is surprisingly tender and succulent.
Something Else is situated just next to Arang Coffee and it's opened by the same proprietor.
