This is the main star that caught me into the outlet. Hong Kong Polo Bao with New Zealand Butter @ RM 4.80. It is not too bad for a bun. Fresh soft bun, flaky crusty top and with a slice of butter and a glass of coffee its a great combination.
NanYang Pork Burger with Fries at MYR 15.90++ (10% service charge and 6% SST = MYR 18.45 nett). I ordered this burger because I wanted to eat fries and they did not disappoint. The fries were better than those served in fast food chains because they were fleshier. I like the pork burger because of the thin hard dry slice of flavourful pork chop which tastes almost like the pork chop in macau pork burger.
Special pork knuckle in preserved bean sauce with tossed noodle (RM12.90) - using specially selected pork knuckle, they are braised for several hours with fu yue (fermented bean curd) until tender. Loved it - the texture was perfect for me, especially the lovely gelatinous skin. This is a good choice for those who prefer more saucy noodles. Served with a bowl of peppery pork soup.
The Steamed Ocean Dragon Groupa with Fresh Abalone, “Seng Kwa” & Squid Ball Taishan Style is indeed one of my favorites. The fish comes amazingly delicious with the flaky fish meat and ypped with the bouncy squid balls. The abalone remains its juiciness and moisture. Everything is perfect and above my expectation.
So we started off with some true blue Teochew recipes that is simply wonderful and homey to the tummy, before moving on to the rest of the mains and some signatures from this establishment.
We were there recently to check out the Dim Sum and had a hard time deciding what to order, scanning the Dim Sum Menu for many minutes. The dishes are categorized under Appetizers, Steamed Dim Sum, Cheong Fun Selection, Deep-fried/Pan-fried/Baked items, Porridge, Chef’s Specials, BBQ Selection, Noodles & Rice and Desserts. In between scrutinizing the menu and looking at the pictorial presentation on their huge wall screens, we settled on these delicious plates…
If you are in Canton Kitchen, one of the MUST TRY is their Ginger Wine Chicken Steam Bihun. The Steamed Chicken Bihun brings you a kick of spiciness from the ginger and it is also good to take out the “body wind”. The bihun is perfectly soaked with the fragrant Chinese Wine taste and Ginger. Deliciously done and love the umph from the ginger and wine.
The Fried Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk @ RM28.90 (for small, RM57.80 big, there's also a version with squid) besides boasting of a robust salted egg yolk flavour, with fragrant undertones from the fried curry leaves, also had a lot of inherent sweetness in it. The prawns, though few in numbers, were of a decent size...and were tasty enough, just wished the sauce wasn't as sweet.
Those dishes that I’ve tried here were anytime homecooked dishes that works for me. Reasonably priced and comfortable dining environment, I’m sure I will come back for more, not certainly this branch but perhaps Selayang branch which is nearer to me 😛
My Personal Opinion Even to this day, there's still a queue each time I pass by the outlet but, luckily, the wait for seats won't take too long as the noodles are served super fast. I think their noodles in superior soup is still their most successful and sought-after dish (especially if you're one who likes a light soup)...and that is what I'll stick with here from now on. ^_~
My Personal Opinion I did enjoy their subtle soup base immensely (even though some felt it was too subtle in flavour while others think it might have been MSG-ed) but I'd certainly appreciate a tad more wine flavour (and wouldn't mind paying for an extra spoonful ^_~). The soup noodles is definitely what you should go for here...and don't forget the bursting, broth-squirting meat balls and the trio snack platter while you're at it. Go Noodle House.....if you don't know which noodle house to go! ;P
我最喜欢那个汤里面加了花雕酒的 idea, 看起来清清淡淡的汤, 原本以为是没什么味道的~ 怎知道, 喝起来竟然有海鲜的甜味和花雕酒独特的酒香味~ 超赞的!
If you are after a hotpot experience, the quality of food here will not disappoint.
Supreme Conqueror Dry Pot 霸王香锅绝对值得一试!
The first mouthful of the udon noodles was bearable as the spices did not sting the palate but as we continued and started eating the chicken, we could feel our tongue slowly going numb, creeps up on you after the accidental bite into those special Sichuan peppercorns.

龍腾四海 Grand Imperial Lobster Combination Premium ingredients, food artwork that impressed, Grand Imperial Lobster Combination certainly doesn’t received big WOWs from every one for no reason. Thoughtfully crafted aside, this dish doesn’t disappoint on taste. Fresh and bouncy lobster, placed over crumbly tart nestled with refreshing filling to balance up the overall flavours. And not to forget, the lightly-torched, cheesy topping makes it more tasty!
新鮮出爐的沙皮乳豬油亮閃閃,烤乳豬的火候拿捏得宜,皮脆肉嫩,香脆鬆化的口感,味蕾一大滿足。
Meat balls & Eggs are also must-have. Find your favourites from Mushroom Water Chestnut Ball to Fresh Fish Ball, Quail Eggs, Gold Pork Slice, Crab Meat Stick, Bao Balls, Fish Tofu, Cheese Balls, Chinese Parsley Pork Meat Ball, Minced Garlic Beef Ball. Duck Blood, Pork Brain, are on the menu list too, for those with adventurous palates. for those who an acquired taste that we are still reluctant to try.
Well, the soup base in Shuguo Yinxiang Restaurant over here is milder if were to compare to Xiao Long Kan that located just further end of the street. I would prefer this shop more for the pungent taste of it. However Shugo YinXiang Restaurant is on the cheaper side. You can do bookings too.
这间连锁餐馆,好像来自新加坡,在雪隆区数间大型商场都能看到,可惜我却没有机会试到。
[Non-halal] Batu 11 Pan Mee in Balakong is one of the more popular spots for Pan Mee in Cheras. We enjoyed the noodles and fried dumplings.
Currently, Batu 11 Pan Mee is my favourite mee hoon kueh place. Soup is clear and I asked for extra bowl of soup on my 2nd visit >.< I finished my meal without feeling thirsty. This place definitely worth a try for pan mee lover.
The main highlight at HDL is the soup, and the ones we ordered delivered. I especially liked the pepper pork stomach soup: it was chock full of ingredients, had just the right amount of peppery kick, and was creamy and flavourful. All of the items we ordered were fresh, although I think the pork belly could have been slightly thicker. The bursting pork balls were springy and juicy as well. We also ordered a plate of pork neck (not pictured), which I recommend if you like fatty cuts.
Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today, I'll be sharing with you about HK Boy Cart Noodle 香港仔车仔面 that I'd been to about a few weeks ago. What's so special about HK Boy Cart Noodle? If you're a fan of Hong Kong street food and you know your bank account doesn't allow you to fly to Hong Kong in a short period of time just for food, you might as well fix your cravings here at HK Boy Cart noodle, where authentic Hong Kong local food can be found!
Verdict: 1. The taste, ambiance and service here are reminiscent of the old-school Hong Kong coffee shops. So mostalgic and if you have been to Hong Kong, this is the place to relive your good memories there! 2. Taste wise, it is acceptable for both young and old. Not bad! 3. To be honest, the dishes come in really petite sizes— big eaters would probably need a few portions to fill the stomach. But looking at the price range, I have no complaints at all.
Pretty good Chinese cafe, definitely give it a try.
Nanyang Pork Burger with French Fries (RM16.90 ) One of our favorite dishes to enjoy for sure. The Nanyang Pork Burger is perfectly done with the complete juiciness in it. The crispy bites of the pork topped and layered with their homemade mayo sauce and vegetables.
Asides from these delicious fish, they do offers a wide range of items too. One of the must to try includes their Salted Egg Fish Skin which is really delicious. The salted egg fish skin comes awesomely good where they give you a crispy crunch in it.
Lijiang Fragrant Spicy Fried Rice with Shredded Pork 麗江香辣炒飯 RM16 First time trying Lijiang Fried Rice and Summerkid gives a double thumbs up to this! Wok hei loaded, with plenty of flavours from Yunnan preserved vegetables, shredded pork, eggs, spring onions. Generous portion, suggest to share between two for small eaters.
Double-cooked spicy pork slices (RM28) - thinly sliced pork belly cooked with garlic shoots, green and red chillies. Very nice!
Their Fresh Grapefruit Jasmine Tea is one of our favourites as it brings you with the refreshing blend with the light sweet sourish taste. It is really perfect at these hot weather.
虽然全部食物味道都非常入味,但系实在太油腻,太罪恶
Overall, they are really good and price are pretty affordable too. It is time now to brave yourself and enjoy the awesomelicious delights from Lucky Mala Noodles.
Xiao Long Bao was damn good as usual. It has the right consistency of meat and soup that just melts in the mouth. Xiao Long Bao @ RM 11.32
The pork with chili on the right of above picture is quite spicy, appetising and nice.
Overall, the food is up to expectation and it is that is probably the reason why they are so popular at EkoCheras Mall. To be honest, we prefer their signature fish or seafood with garlic and chill in a pot, rather the usual steamed fish. The reason we didn’t order that because there is only a few of us and our boys don’t take chilli. Price of their food is on the average or high side as it depends on how you interpret it.
Overall food was just average so I don't want say much about it.
The new shop is bright and clean and operates between 11am to 9pm daily (except Thursdays). I had the wantan mee with char siew (RM6) while Hubby had the Hakka fried pork wantan mee (RM7.50). I like the thin springy noodles, which are coated in a dark sauce. The char siew was a bit too lean for my liking, so I'll stick to the dumplings (sui kow) next time. My noodles also came with three wantan in a small bowl of soup.
