Overall, the ingredients were very fresh and did not taste like it was laden with MSG. The price of the add-ons is slightly more expensive compared to the other restaurants offering steamboat in Cameron but I feel the quality does justify the price tag.
Located at Tringkap area’s main roadside lies a Water Cress Farm well known for its natural farming, spectacular scenery, and delicious styles of watercress cooking.
Overall, the food at Water Cress Valley is fairly tasty and fresh. Nevertheless, I think the main appeal lies in the nice scenery that the restaurant offers. Water Cress Valley also serves stir-fried (煮炒) Chinese dishes, but we do not have the stomach capacity to taste any dishes this round.
Overall, the food at Yuan Kie Kopitiam Bentong is good. It is basically a simple kopitiam in Bentong serving breakfast and comfort food for the locals. It is just that for this couple of years, Bentong becomes popular as the weekend place for city dwellers and hence the influx of people. We know many people recommended Yuan Kie Kopitiam Bentong, we think this is a good place for breakfast too. Thanks for reading and safe travels!

While not the best wanton mee we’ve ever tasted – the noodles were pretty decent and above average. We like that the noodles were al-dente, The soy sauce mix was also on the savoury side with a thicker consistency.

On our recent visit to Genting we headed down to the little town of Goh Tong Jaya and found Chuan Kie for a nice dinner.
Overall, our meals at Restoran Chuan Kie has been value for money and met our expectations. We will be back, if we were to pass this way again. There are other similar Chinese restaurants offering cheap and good food in this small town as well.
The staff are not very friendly, but they are not rude either. Just go in with low expectations of the service and you will be fine.

基本上龍記小菜館的食物算都不錯, 目前吃到的這些菜都沒踩到地雷, 最讓我念念不忘的是他們的啦啦湯, 招牌花肉與鬼豆苗. 我聽說雲頂上的食物大部分都不好吃又貴, 所以來這裡吃應該是一個不錯的選擇, 價位中等又合理, 平均一人約RM30~60左右.

And my verdict? I would recommend giving it a try if you happen to be in Bentong. Who knows, you might find the taste more appealing to you than it was to me. By the way, Kopitiam Thong Kee also has a branch in KL – you might wanna try its branch rather than travel all the way to Bentong.
For the food, the taste of the sweet and sour pork is ordinary while the rest are decent. There is no particular dish we ordered is to shout about. We do understand that we didn’t order their signature seafood dishes so we just review what we ordered.
Fantasy Valley Restaurant, or 桃源谷飯店 in Chinese, offers a dining experience that allows you to enjoy nature while savoring your meal!
Verdict: I can’t say it’s a perfect meal as I’ve had a better lamb belly pot elsewhere but the porridge was more than decent. If you’re in Genting Highlands and need some comfort food, I reckon the porridge and double boiled soup can be an ideal option.
