Sabah Tomyam (RM 14.90) with fried fish. We are not sure whether this is the real version of Sabah Tomyam or not, as my few years experience in Sabah tells me otherwise. However, setting aside the arguement, the tomyam is great in taste, having a little bit milky taste with a mild spiciness. What we appreciate is the fried fish is served separately from the tomyam soup to prevent it become soggy after being "flooded" with the soup. An excellent choice for a chill night. You may choose the preferred type of noodles for the tomyam.

Ah Gu Pan Mee is not the conventional Pan Mee place that serves Pan Mee in the neighborhood; it churns out atypical but lip-smacking flavors. A bowl of Seafood Curry Tok Tok Mee is loaded with a flavorsome curry broth along with a huge prawn, clams, and a plate of deep-fried fish fillet. Curry Mee (otherwise known as Curry Laksa in central region) has always been one of Penangites' favorite local delicacies but the newly opened eatery along Kimberley Street offers the noodles with an upgrade. While the classic bowl of Curry Mee costs Rm 5 here, the deep pockets could go for the premium option with plenty of Seafood and Meat topped, at the price of Rm 11.50. The entire shop is dedicated to serving Curry Mee and has been drawing great attention from early risers and market-goers (right in front of the entrance to Chowrasta Market- Kimberley Street entrance). Curry Mee enthusiasts might welcome the idea but we'd like to think otherwise, perhaps a bowl of delicious-classic Curry Mee is good enough for us.

The Koay Teow Th'ng specialist boasts over its Abalone Koay Teow Th'ng or similar posh-offering... the lavish upgrade consists of Seafood wholesomeness and a heaps of meat. But everything comes with a price and that theory applies to Tung Kee's Koay Teow Th'ng as well, a basic bowl of Koay Teow Th'ng costs Rm 8.90 here while the premium ones would cost Rm 13.90 and Rm 35.90. The plate of barbeque pork and roasted pork is a sight to behold. The slices of meat are cut into a good bite size, thick enough to taste. The nicely caramelised barbeque pork imbued with flavors and aromas is apparently big hits with diners. The Chinese wine and many types of marinating spices provided an interesting play of taste and flavors to the tender and tasty meat.
