Lastly each of us was served with a cup of tea or coffee in completion of the set. The milk was served separately and can be added in base on one's preference.
Old school restaurant serving old school hot plate chicken chop, nicely crispy outside and tender inside, with a peppery and savoury black pepper sauce. The baked potato was really soft, rich and creamy too.
Looking at their menu, they have attractive lunch sets set differently for each day of the week as well as weekends. There is also one lady server whom I thought that the service was friendly and impeccable. I will be back again for them.
Peanut paste, almond cream and walnut paste. Flavourful and not overly sweet, with a nice smooth texture. Good stuff. No wonder the queue right at opening.
It was a great experience that we stumbled upon this dessert place. It's really a gem and totally worth a comeback.
Most Singaporean Chinese would be familiar with the famous Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple at Bugis but mention Fortune Centre, which is just ...
If you’re looking for other nibbles, the high tea menu at The Coastal Settlement has other light bites, thin-crust pizzas, and desserts that you can order a la carte as well.
The Coastal Settlement Is The Perfect Brunch Spot With Antique Decors & Unique Menu. Check out this spot for an amazing meal in Singapore.
I will be back because I like the atmosphere here and the nice wagyu cheeseburger tells me that they probably have other nice food worth trying.
These paus are super good! No need to travel to Johor (nor can you at the moment) to eat anymore!
To usher in a Bountiful Year of the Earth Dog, Restaurant HOME has prepared auspicious tasty dishes to celebrate. New year dishes such as Braised Green Wrasse with Roast Pork, Leek and Flower Mushrooms (年年有余), Pan-Fried King Prawn with Superior Soy Sauce (喜哈大笑) and Fragrant Rice with Dried Scallop and Preserved Meat wrapped in Lotus Leaf (五谷丰收) and these are specially prepared in the 8-course CNY Prosperous Menu E (福星高照新春特备套餐).
If you are a huge fan of seafood, go for the Black Pepper Crab ($58/kg).
Although we finally get to it here, we did not have enough stomach for other items on the menu. I will like to try out more of their recommended dishes on the menu. Let's make a return trip soon!
Makko Teck Neo is definitely a hidden gem located in a sleepy old neighbourhood.
Overall, we are glad that Makko Teck Neo Metropolis has opened. A good Peranakan restaurant is always welcome in the Buona Vista / Ghim Moh neighbourhood.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
The dining experience at Kausmo was an enlightening one. I was nourished not only by the food but also by the thoughtfulness behind the meal.
surprisingly the pork floss softshell crab and the chicken 金龙鸡 pretty good quite ok..
When things are back to normalcy, would like to revisit to try their other items.
All in all, Red Star Restaurant is a place that we highly recommend if you’re keen on having an all-rounded, authentic traditional dim sum eating experience but where price and quality of their dishes is concerned
The roast duck and char siew we tried were nice but nothing to rave about.
Perhaps it is the lack of experience in running a full-fledged eatery, but Yan Chuan Roasters would need to sit down and rethink their concept again if they are looking to make significant changes that would benefit them in the long run.
Family friendly steakhouse where you find high quality meats at mid range prices.
Black Pearl @ Siglap, ex Perle Noire is back with a vengeance. We have not been since the name change but happened to be walking today past it and popped in
Excellent place for a steamboat hotpot meal.
The service was good, with the attentive staff refilling the soup generously; and the food items are good for both steamboat and cooked selections.
Beer's $5 a mug during happy hours. Sapporo on tap or Orion from bottle.
I was randomly walking though JEM today when I noticed that Kenny Rogers had nasi lemak (50 Jurong Gateway Road #B1-37, 6694-5073).
Other than the Famous Rotisserie-Roasted Chicken, Kenny Rogers Roasters’ menu will be featuring new dishes such as the OMG(Outragous, Mouthwatering, Guiltless) Unfried Fried Chicken, Kenny’s Nasi Lemak, Classic Macaroni & Cheese, Corn Muffin! Expect your favourites (such as their Cornbread) to make a glamorous return as well!
I did like the har cheong gai above, as its breading was surprisingly light and crunchy, and yet it still packed some good prawn paste stank. That made it fun to eat, even if I still somehow like the denser way that Hong Sheng does it.
Many of the items were a bit sweet, so I wasn't a big fan.
This one was kinda like a cross between yesterday's waxiangji (especially with those potent green tengjiao peppercorns on the vine again) and their usual bridge crossing guoqiao mixian (or even their xiaoguo mixian), especially with not just the broth and noodles, but also those long cuts of garlic chives. Yep, it was potent yet light at the same time, which was exactly what I wanted tonight.

I'm liking these guys more and more; they separately also have an awesome red chili oil with a tasty roasted aroma; I wish I could buy a jar of it to bring home.
The place looked old school.
Overall, I loved the grilled meat at Buddy Hoagies for its taste and affordable price tag. There are a lot more dishes which I would love to try like their Rosti, pasta and baked rice. I would definitely visit their nearer outlet to try other dishes and hopefully, the other outlets can give me the same nostalgic atmosphere
Will I Return Again? Perhaps not so soon again. But if you have not visited them once, it is worth a try.
Grill Ninety Nine prides itself on its meat offerings, featuring good quality beef and lamb from New Zealand.
I can foresee myself bringing my family here to try the other dishes Hippo Family Restaurant has to offer. The food is good and I don’t have to worry about burning a hole in my pocket!
Personally, this is not value for money for me. Coupled with the long waiting time, I doubt I would return for it anytime soon.
