Every item was good, with the only exception being the noodles having a slight kee or alkaline flavour, although this was made up for by the outstanding sauce made of dried shrimps and kelp.
Maxwell Food Centre is one of those rare hawker centers in Singapore that is highly popular with tourists and at the same time, is held in high esteem by locals for its authentic and traditional hawker dishes. The main reason for this is that Maxwell Food Centre is the current home of a myriad of...…
A trip to Maxwell to da bao brought us to some of our favorites and some new experiences too. China Street Fritters and their Ngoh Hiang, Liver Rolls, Egg Slice and Sausage with Bee Hoon.
Nice. The rendang was nutty and lemak

Lau Pa Sat, the iconic festival market and food hall that stands proudly as the only hawker centre housed in a national monument, invites one and all to Hop for Joy this Year of the Rabbit with a one-of-its-kind collaboration. It is partnering with Hao Food Sg to bring the iconic White Rabbit from the candy ubiquitous in all our childhoods to life for a food hall experience that is steeped in nostalgia.
Final, many-word conclusion: frankly quite a large portion and decent tasting despite the touristy pricing. I think it would be good for sharing if you are bringing along your foreign friends and would be ordering other local dishes.
Yes, I liked it, not only because the chili oil was on point, but also since the broth was crisp and salty.
Recommended by 8 Days and various others, and opened by Eggslut alum. The egg was silky, smooth and quite custardy and creamy, but had a bit of 蛋腥. The glazed char siew was tender and sweet but quite ordinary.
Danlao 蛋佬 is a new stall that opened at Maxwell Food centre early this year. They specialize in scrambled egg rice with various toppings such as Tomato ($4.50), Luncheon Meat ($5), Chicken Cutlet ($6), Char Siew ($6), and Prawn ($7).
Great to see new generation of young hawkers in an established food centre like Maxwell, where Danlao is worth a try if you love your scrambled eggs. The concept is simple, and I think that they have got their eggs right at least. For now, Maxwell is not just about chicken rice.
I tried to undertake a bit of research before checking out a hawker centre I have never patronized before; this would enable me to roughly p...

Food at A Gan Guo Kui is focused on the Chinese street snack of guo kui. Freshly prepared and baked to order, each flatbread is hand moulded and kneaded, generously spread with your chosen ingredients, then baked in the cylinderical ovens.
Another guo kui chain from China has opened up multiple stalls across Singapore thanks to the folks behind LiHO tea. I'm still not a huge fan of this stuff though, as it's just too dry. Is this supposed to be better eaten with some Sichuan chili oil instead? That sure would make it easier (and fun) to eat.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how thoughtful Ronnie and his mother-in-law are – they personally decorate every takeaway box. If you’re already feeling the warmth and love in their food, do pay them a visit!
On the whole, we enjoyed our light meal at Wild Market. The space was comfortable and there was a nice range of food available – from affordable gourmet food to local street food. We will return to try more of the food and beverages at Wild Market in Shaw Towers.
