Serve the best toast with ice-cream.
8.5/10. Personally, a little bit steep in price, but I absolutely love it! The taste of the desserts always keeps me coming back for more. To be honest, Iâm always shocked by how good that Matcha lava cake is, and the toast NEVER disappoints!
Miru's Strawberry Cheesecake Kakigori was impressive... the ice was silky smooth and fine while the Strawberry 'syrup' was carefully sweetened. It did not feel very 'artificial' and we trust real Strawberries have been used in the making of the 'syrup'. Just as you dig further and getting monotonous on the 'syrup' and 'shave ice' combo, there will be cubed Cheese Cake to further entice you. Though not exactly the best Cheese Cake, it provides a good bite and a fine touch to the icy treat.
After a satisfying dinner at Super Big Don House, we dropped by Softsrve for dessert
Fun Fair (RM12), with oolongcha flavoured soft serve. We weren't really expecting the dry ice smoking effects as I thought that it was only for bestsellers. It was cool though, and the popping candy really gave it the extra tingle.
Something a little more solid would be the Crispy and Fluffy Waffle (RM 15) which by the way isnât the best waffle ever but managed to redeemed its reputation with none other than their soft serve and sauce of your choice (in this case is match sauce since WendLi , the matcha queen is one of the partner in crime this time around). This one is served with chopped nuts and berries.
Eventually, we opted to try one of the dessert on display, specifically Lucky Koi. The combination of ingredients in this specific dessert (oolong rice ice cream + peach sorbet + goji berry muesli crunch + lychee glaze) was appealing and yummy. There was a burst of flavors and textures â the tanginess from the berries, the crunch from the muesli and the unique sweetness from the creamy ice cream. We enjoyed it.
Overall, it's a really cool dessert place.
Top-notch, one of the best ice cream I had in 2019. "Delicieux" in French!
The proof is in the pudding â or on a waffle in this instance. Fragrant, smooth and creamy, the Earl Grey lived up to its reputation and was one of the best Iâve had. Subtle yet sublime, it struck a fine balance between tea and dessert, especially when perched on a crisp batter that was lightly crusty on the outside, and soft and slightly chewy inside
The Chili Crab was as real as it gets. The gelato was sweet and spicy at the same time. Youâd be able to taste the chili. The taste itself was amazing, the different textures were soo realistic, its rather mind blowing. I donât know how they managed to do it but there was something in there that actually resembled crab meat. So, youâd get the creamy, milky gelato with generous bits of âcrabâ meat. Amazeballs, yawww.
Got to try their steak & cheese pie and chicken mushroom pie, tasted so good and the moment you cut the pie, the smell is so fragrance and looks so mouth-watering inside the pie.
After lunch at Super Thai, we went to Tsujiri for dessert. Chiffon Parfait O-Matcha at MYR16.90 nett and Signature O-Matcha hot drink (not sweet at all) at MYR15 nett.
Tsujiri is an established green tea brand from Japan with over 155 years of heritage. It originates from Kyoto Japan. One thing undeniable about them is their green tea ice cream which is really soothing and healthy as well.
Not just parfait, cake roll and soft serve ice cream cone only...they have too many too be listed so I will definitely be back for their other varieties which are O-matcha cappuccino, sundae, shaved ice, genmaicha, Uji Kintoki, Kinako Kuromitsu and many more.
The soothing interior with calming vibes, accompanied by cutesy curios makes it a perfect gathering spot among buddies to catch up over a cuppa, or rather a âdessert havenâ, and also some memorable insta-worthy pictures too.
Soft serves are the speciality - the signature pick is pink peppercorn, which tastes moderately of berries with a mild peppery finish, while the current seasonal alternative is black sesame, buoyed by natural nuances. Both flavours prove gently restrained, with a smooth, airy texture.
At first, it tasted weird. It did taste somewhat like as if there is black pepper in it. But, I could not stop indulging in it. The more I ate it, the more I liked it. It is quite refreshing. Like, mint. But different. And the best part, it is not too too sweet. I did not feel the need to down a full glass of water after.
This place is quite colorfully decorated to compensate for the rather small space that they are operating in. First floor cafes are always something that I like because of the view.
They serve almost 30 home crafted flavours ! Each unique in their own way.
The Ais might melt some hearts with its assortment of ice cream & sorbets in fun flavours like Cinnamon Plum, Horlicks Kit Kat, Rum & Raisin, Baileys, Gula Melaka, Coffee Nuts, Lemon Poppyseed & Dragon Fruit
