The famous Shiok Maki and Pitan Tofu were great, and the Bacon Enoki called out to me but was less remarkable.
My last visit to Koh Grill & Sushi Bar was almost five years ago and I remember I waited quite a while in the queue before my family finally...
Koh Grill & Sushi Bar needs no introduction especially for Japanese food fans in Singapore.
Their 10th Singapore outlet has the same spacious and neat layout as their other outlets in Singapore. Reservations can be done via their App. At the time of our visit near dinner time on a weekday, it was moderately busy. A short queue was observed forming up.
our uni negitoro don though was quite good. anyhow everyone liked the kaisen don 海鮮丼 here.
The seafood for their rice bowls were pretty decent quality but not top notch if you catch my drift.
The rice was served warm, the seafood was tasty with distinct textures and flavours and even the wasabi packs a punch and has a kind of fragrance. All these elements came together in a colourful and delicious way.
Taki carries many award-winning sakes from Kyoto, many of which are exclusive to the restaurant.
Taki Kyoto Grill and Sake has an ala carte menu, but it was their various set course options that looked interesting.
“Yomoda” comes from a Matsuyama dialect from Ehime Prefecture. It means “carefree” or “easy-going,” used on people who are optimistic and have a sense of humor. Here, the word means the camaraderie of warmth and joy.
As for the tempura, there were mushroom, red capsicum, pumpkin, long beans, chicken, braised pork and small prawn. Best one was the pork. Delicious!
The beef was perfecto!!! best!
the A5 wagyu of course 无得顶 mo tak teng (the best!)
Ambience at Osaka Kitchen Teppanyaki is cozy.
Discovered that the restaurant is pretty smallish but liked that the tables are adequately apart. There was only another table occupied during that day of visit. Service staff (non-Japanese) were earnest and friendly.
Being a fan of Japanese food, I was happy to discover Machida Shoten at Japan Food Town in Wisma Atria Shopping Centre.
With such high accolades, I was pretty impressed with the Curry Tsukemen.
Machida Shoten was founded on the border Tokyo city of Machida in 2008 and has since became an influential global ramen player, having outlets from Los Angeles to New York City, and at the same time offering consulting services to other ramen-yas.
In its entirety, while the Nude is an innovative addition to the menu, I personally wouldn't recommend it to those who relish in the more predominant presence of cream cheese.
We would not stand in line for the tarts but now that the hype is over, we would happily head to Pablo Singapore when we like to enjoy freshly-baked Japanese cheese tarts.
There are places that do cheese tarts better, and PABLO Cheesetart is probably a place we would not find ourselves revisiting very soon.
It’s a shame that they’ve closed down as the entire concept, in our opinion, was well thought out, and the featured restaurants did serve some really good food.
we definitely recommend Rang Mang Shokudo; it’s delicious and affordable.
We got the seiro option and the scallop kabosu udon. The udon was smooth and had a nice chewiness to the bite.
I'm already eyeing at the tororo udon, soymilk tsuke udon and even red curry udon for my next visit. Whether you’re hard-core noodle fan or more of a recreational slurper, you will find they slip down a treat.
grilled sabar 50% off about S$11 very good too, large saba, fresh and oily very flavourful..
Sashimi – salmon, maguro fresh & sweet & vinegared cured saba very nice too…certainly a very good donburi for S$9.80, of course not expect premium cut sashimi, but it was good & we all enjoyed it.
What I concluded during my period of solitude at Sabar that day was that while it may not be enjoyable, the discomfort of eating alone can be minimised.
Somehow the special aburi sushi didn’t have the wow that i expected of such top quality ingredients.
We like to come here for a quick sushi lunch. Their set lunch selections are quite limited but are usually good value for money.
Besides the above, other dishes you can try at Tempura Tsukiji Tenka include the Sea Eel Tendon (S$27.80) and Ebi Tendon (S$16.80).
