Inspired by the Chong Qing-Grilled Fish, Fatt Kee Roast Fish has recently gained a lot of attention from netizens due to its gigantic serving with loads of Seafood swimming in the huge pot. The concept is not new- Deep Fried Fish with Seafood (like Prawns, Squid, Flower Clams) and vegetables soaked in a spicy-savory Seafood broth; served in the way similar to Hot Pot/ Steamboat. The spiciness varies and can be tuned accordingly but the heat-intolerant should be extra careful on selecting the spiciness as it can be lip-burning hot. It can be then enjoyed just like an ordinary Hot Pot, with extra condiments like Udon, Vegetables and Seafood to be added. Do note that there are two branches and both locations are near to each other; one is air-conditioned while another one is al-fresco setting. The flavors were fun and the combination was exciting, a place worth visiting.

The 2nd thing to grace their presence to our table is the beautiful Pacific oysters (RM7.90 per piece) and they not only limited to the pacific oysters; they have an array of different nationality of oysters which they will feature in their menu! My Personal Opinion The big head prawns, being their signature dish, didn't taste anything like those juicy, sweet-tasting freshwater prawns I've eaten in sang har meen elsewhere. In fact, they even look different from some of the prawn pics I saw online. Perhaps the ones offered in their promotion are of a different quality. ^_~ Ok, ok, I guess I can't and shouldn't expect too much from big head prawns priced at RM39.90 for three. So, if you're here, you might want to get those prawns that aren't at promotional prices but you'll have to pay more for them obviously.

The Lobster Roll comes amazingly good and delicious where they are served with chunks of lobster meat with the added truffle oil which makes it even better. My Personal Opinion What can I say...everything is fresh, fresh, fresh....from super fresh seafood to freshly made pasta to freshly made kitchen sauces....and I want more, more, more! Reasons to visit Bait Bangsar: value for money and attentive service. Everything we tasted today was very good indeed but if forced to choose only one highlight, it would be the Seafood Jambalaya. Late night visitors should also check out Bait for its Nasi Lemak (RM15) which is available to take away once normal kitchen service ceases at 22.30.

Overall, their salmon is really good, even the normal salmon is good, salmon belly is just a tad better. But both are really yummy. The truffle mash potatoes is quite good as well. You can park in One Mont Kiara mall, and walk to Fat Fish, save on the parking fee as the Shoplex Mont’ Kiara parking fee is slightly more expensive. Must must make reservation else you risk being turned away just like i did previously.

As usual, no visit to Eatomo is complete without ordering one of our must-haves, the Wok-Fired Spicy Gyutandon @ RM21.90. This time we even went overboard and doubled the beef tongue for an additional RM15 until we can't even see the rice underneath...hehehe! ;) You can also add on an extra rice for a more substantial meal (or share the dish between two).

While I do not remember the exact prices, I do recall telling Masood that the prices at the food stalls here aren’t exactly cheap, specially considering that these are self-serve food stalls without air-conditioning. Regardless, the fresh food is worth the price and this is definitely a must-visit place specially for those who love seafood.

The Classic Roman Marinated Rack of Lamb @ RM78.00 is also a new item on the menu. The rack of lamb was in marinated in classic Roman-style and was then grilled to the doneness of your choosing – best is medium raw and served with spinach cream and mashed potatoes with parmagiana sauce. Since our lamb was cooked medium raw, it was pink and slightly bloody in the middle. This is easily the best dish of the night.

For example, if you order the Superior Pork Bone Soup, they will make that soup specially for you. It may take a while for them to get the soup ready for you, but trust me, it’s worth it. The Kam Heong Chicken here is da bomb. It is a tad pricy – 20 ringgit but it tasted good. Kam Heong is all about the chicken and prawn paste. Most often, you can hardly taste the paste but here though, not only would you taste it in the gravy, there were plenty of dried prawn bits that provided a nice texture to this dish. The taste of lemongrass and curry leaf was also prevalent. It was lovely. The gravy was thick and had a mixture of flavors evident from the variety of items used, yummy!
