Inspired by the Chong Qing-Grilled Fish, Fatt Kee Roast Fish has recently gained a lot of attention from netizens due to its gigantic serving with loads of Seafood swimming in the huge pot. The concept is not new- Deep Fried Fish with Seafood (like Prawns, Squid, Flower Clams) and vegetables soaked in a spicy-savory Seafood broth; served in the way similar to Hot Pot/ Steamboat. The spiciness varies and can be tuned accordingly but the heat-intolerant should be extra careful on selecting the spiciness as it can be lip-burning hot. It can be then enjoyed just like an ordinary Hot Pot, with extra condiments like Udon, Vegetables and Seafood to be added. Do note that there are two branches and both locations are near to each other; one is air-conditioned while another one is al-fresco setting. The flavors were fun and the combination was exciting, a place worth visiting.
Overall, we enjoyed the food in Fatt Kee Roast Fish and will come back again for more. They don’t take reservation so be there early to get your table and the crowd starts coming in after 7pm. Fatt Kee Roast Fish Pudu 發記招牌特色烤鱼 opens from 5pm to midnight daily.
Overall, it was damn good dinner for us. Excellent service and damn spicy food. Second visit? A big YES for me, but I will go for their spicy level (A) in the future. They don't provide any tissue and it cost RM 1 for 2 packets of tissues. Prepare your own tissue before dropping by this place for dinner.

Fatt Kee have two concept, with one of their original start up is as the picture above by seating at the road side. If you need more comfortable seating experience, head to their new shop which is 2 doors away by asking the workers there. What my ex colleague told me that, to enjoy original spiciness have to be at this road side area as the one in the shop had tone down due to many complains.
Prosperous Treasure Wok RM 188 Truly an amazing dish filled with treasure from the sea served in a wok - Concoction with a plethora of seven types of succulent and fresh mixed seafood consisting of Fresh Water Prawn (Sang Har), Giant Sea Water Prawns (Ming Har), White Squid, Lala, Mussel, Abalone, and not forgetting the lovely Scallops too.
This place is well known for its elaborated seafood tray that is generously dished up. Of course, we are not going to leave without giving that a try besides its other signature dishes and also new item (do look out for the hanging pot! ^^)
