The herby Summer Rolls (RM 6.90) were a joy, together with the Fish Sauce Chicken Wing (RM 6.90) that is very highly recommended by the owner, for a good reason. Let the first bite speak for itself and at that point it’s only the eyes that’s talking cause the lips are sealed munching on that delicious bites of succulent chicken

Anyway, like I’ve mentioned, the food prices here are incredibly affordable – the most expensive item on the menu is at RM17.90 and for that, you get a steaming bowl of Vietnamese pho with tender Australian Ribeye. The beef broth for noodles has been boiled for hours, resulting in a robust broth brimming with sweet natural meaty goodness. Good quality Australian beef is used, hence the beef noodles are priced at RM12.90 & above per bowl.

Pork Chop Dry Noodles RM9.90 Recommended dish, better than expected. Springy, Al-dente noodles coated with surprisingly delicious dark sauce, served with a large cut tender-moist pork chop deeply infused with flavours of marination. Top off with minced meat. If “Gon Lou Mein” is your all time favourite, this dish probably wouldn’t disappoint you.

Pho Le Saigon Restaurant

46, Jalan PJU 5/10, Dataran Sunway Kota Damansara 47810 Petaling Jaya Selangor Malaysia

a restaurant which located in Kota Damansara which serves awesome Vietnamese Foods

Likes: Pork rice was okay Dislikes: Pho not up to par, broth is not flavourful - just salty and full of MSG, ingredients are cheap ones and rationed portion too - don't expect to find beef slices in it. It's Klang Valley's price for a bowl of pho but quality/value isn't there so it makes the bowl of noodle expensive. It they had delivered the right amount then the price will be reasonable.

Sauteed Sliced Lamb with lemongrass, onions & crispy spring roll RM18.90 The lamb was really nicely sauteed, it was fragrant and flavourful without overpowering the natural flavour of the lamb, but still keeping the natural flavour at a minimum, so the overall olfactory experience was above satisfactory.
  • 2018-01-07 00:00:00+00:00
Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi tastes delicious. The sauce has a good kick of spicy in it and all the ingredients goes well together. However, my boyfriend commented that the chicken tastes frozen to him. Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi @ RM 12.90

Hubby had the Braised pork and egg with coconut water served with rice (RM10), also known as com thit kho nuoc dua. The pork was tender and delicious

Likes: Authentic and cheap Vietnamese food - possibly one of the best I've had so far in Klang Valley. Those who thinks Pho Vietz is good should try this first. Pho Vietz is no where near authentic! Dislikes: They tend to "forget" some ingredients. For eg, my favourite tendon was not added into the mixed noodle bowl on our second visit. I think they've got to pay attention to what they are preparing...

The peanut-based sauce, with very hot chili and laced with fish sauce, was a perfect match with the more bland roll. Can't stop eating them.
  • 2017-06-21 00:00:00+00:00
Likes: Food prices are quite reasonable, fresh vegetables, great to serve the neighbourhood Dislikes: But bad in terms of value - cheap and not generous portion of meat... Pho is really average, very peppery

Hubby had the Traditional banh mi, with red pork and pate (RM12.50). The bread was nice and crusty, yet soft on the inside. Love the sound of a good bread as you bite into it. They also do a grilled pork version which we will try on our next visit.
  • 2018-02-11 00:00:00+00:00
As the name suggests, Pho King’s signature items are of course their pho – Vietnamese rice noodles in beef, pork or chicken broth. Only quality Australian beef and Sambanto pork are used in Pho King. The broth for the noodles is boiled for hours to extract the sweetness from the bones and meat, resulting in a rich soup that’s robustly infused with everything good. I drank every drop of it!
  • 2018-02-08 00:00:00+00:00
Pho (between RM10.90 to RM21.90) is the main reason to eat at Pho King, as it’s probably the best in the neighborhood – maybe even in all of PJ. What makes it stand out is the quality of the meat and labor that go into preparing the delicious broth. Every bowl is topped with generous slices of Australian beef, cooked to your liking but medium rare is recommended for the best experience.

Overall Rating: 7/10 for the food, environment and customer service. I would say that the dishes served is definitely value for money, for its huge portions and of reasonable taste. However, I still have slight preference for Festival City in KL but would definitely return.

I wanted something other than pho that day so I opted for a traditional beef stew with a baguette. The baguette was baked really well that it was crispy on the outside but was soft and fluffy on the inside. Just right for moping up all that beef stew sauce. The beef chunks were nice and tender. I'd recommend this too.

BBQ Lemongrass Chicken Chop (RM16.90) is a refreshing upgrade to the standard chicken chops we’re used to. The lemongrass accent brings about an interesting dimension to the barbecued chicken, giving it a distinctly Asian taste.

Verdict : This is a great place to dine in, whether it be for the fabled Vietnamese coffee, or just to have a taste of Hanoi. This place boasts mainly Hanoi styled food. It’s more than just Banh Mi, and the other dishes do equally as well, if not at times better than the Banh Mi! While you’re at it, do get the drinks as well.

Look at the glorious omelette, golden-yellow in colour, with molten cheese overflowing out. Looks pretty good, but tasted better than good. We loved this sandwich to bits! The creamy egg, savoury molten cheese, crunchy preserved daikon & carrots just come together so perfectly.

Instead I had spring roll and pork chop dry vermicelli (thick mee hoon) with lots of raw vegetables such as raw beansprout (taugeh), cucumbers, lettuce, basil and pickled carrots at MYR 14.06++ (MYR 16.30 nett after 10% service charge and 6% SST). A sweet and sour fish sauce is provided to mix into the vermicelli but I returned it immediately when it was put on the table and the staff was so surprised. I guess he does not understand how anyone could eat this dish without any sauce but I like it this way without any sauce.

Spring Roll & Chicken Vermicelli was superb. Vermicelli topped with lemongrass chicken and spring roll, it’s delicious. I loved their dipping sauce too. For me, dip the vermicelli into the spicy dipping sauce and enjoy. Spring Roll & Chicken Vermicelli @ RM 15
