Here was the yuxiangqiezi from Birds of a Feather, a place that I haven't been back to in ages. The dishes were dressed up with lots of fancy garnishes; their barramundi chazuke was more upscale (complete with a theatrical presentation) compared to the one at Sichuan Alley.
Birds Of A Feather 2022 115 Amoy Street #01-01 https://www.birdsofafeather.com.sg/ Pork Dumplings (SGD $17)
Overall, this is the first time I came to BOF and I totally enjoyed the food here. Instead of the overpowering spicy Sichuan cuisine, most of the dishes have been well thought out, multi-layered yet balanced, delicious and well-executed.
Overall, if you are a lobster or seafood lover, the Lobsterfest is definitely a buffet you should visit to get a feast on endless lobster. You have 1 more day to visit after seeing my post or maybe you can start planning to visit for next year’s Lobsterfest
All festive buffet options include unlimited chilled juices, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Dinners include an additional complimentary glass of festive welcome drink.
LIME Restaurant serves up a resplendent a la carte buffet feast, perfect for a hearty reunion in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
A review of Tippling Club 2019 one of the very best restaurants on Tanjong Pagar Road the hipster food mecca of Singapore
What we did this night was a cooking Masterclass via Zoom with the world-famous crew from Tippling Club, Chef Ryan Clift, Chef Ayo & Mixologist God Andrew.
Tippling Club Review 2022, owned and operated by Chef-Owner Ryan Clift, is situated at 38 Tanjong Pagar Road in Singapore
Overall, many of my friends swear by their cakes are the best among other cafes.
Some of the signature items from the shack can now be found at Nesuto so that you can have your savoury and sweet all in one place!
Overall, Nesuto was an attractive cafe in Tanjong Pagar for a tea break and indulge in some sweet desserts.
Ambience at Basdban is casual and relaxing. Styled like a lounge, the gastrobar is dimly lit, with spotlights and a neon glow illuminating the place. Furnishings are lower than normal, designed for partial reclining, and are relatively comfortable. There's limited indoor seating, but a good amount of outdoor seating, which is thankfully sheltered.
Overall, it was a great dining experience with Sichuan street food. The team at Basdban successfully elevated the dishes by using better ingredients and controlling the level of spiciness.
Will I Return Again? Sichuan food is typically very spicy in my impression. Basdban has a good variety of dishes to cater to the crowd even if you cannot take spice very well like me. It is a convenient after-work or lunch spot for the CBD crowd should you be craving for a modern Sichuanese dining experience.
One-Michelin-starred Nouri, helmed by Chef Ivan Brehm, has launched a new Four-Course Dinner (S$168++) featuring menus that change weekly. The Four-Course meal is designed to be enjoyed at Nouri’s dining counter for the more time conscious diners.
This place isn't cheap (72 Amoy Street, 6221-4148). But it's a one Michelin-starred restaurant, and I figured that I might as well indulge now that we're nearly out of the circuit breaker period.
The emphasis on fresh herbs made everything very aromatic.
Desserts aside, the food at The Bravery largely exceeded my expectations, made better by their sunlight-dappled interiors and central location.
With a full-service team led by Sous Chef Melvin Lam and award-winning Head Barista Maryvn Tan, customers can expect an elevated menu comprising new dishes, crowd-pleasing signatures, freshly-baked treats and quality brews.
The first floor is where you can get your coffee fix and a variety of seating formats caters to different interactions whole the second storey houses The Bravery’s in-house bakery, which churns out fresh breads and baked goods daily.
Bar-A-Thym Restaurant by Francois Mermilliod Easter Sunday Brunch, Deviled eggs, free flow charcuterie board, Lamb on the Spit, Angus Sirloin...
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
Everything was good. The striploin in particular was quite tender, juicy and nicely beefy and smoky. You just had to mop up the juices from the takeaway box, and drizzle on the red wine jus, for an almost perfect takeaway steak.
Bar Roque Grill located Amara Hotel in Singapore @ 165 Tanjong Pagar Rd, one of the best steak houses in Singapore, Sunday Brunch is great!
Overall, Bar-Roque Grill gave us a wonderful dining experience.
Bar Roque @ 165 Tanjong Pagar, Just sit back at let Chef Stefan advise what is best on the menu & serve one of the best aged Steaks in Singapore
Lovely meal at Lerouy and i would come back in a heartbeat. Certainly one of the best meals we've had in 2020.
Yes, the food was good, especially his signature salt baked cabbage on the bottom left. There was a lot going on in there, including not just the varying tastes of the ancholade, lardo, and lime, but also the contrasting textures. I was happy to eat it along with some of his piping hot bread and flavored butters, not to mention that pâté en croûte to start.
Restaurant Lerouy is a counter-seat only restaurant in Stanley Street serving modern French Cuisine.
For Happy Hours, the oysters are sure of the value of money. I do not mind revisiting the place again for their freshly shucked oysters as well as other food on the menu. Given the convenience of the location and the ample car park lots, it should be good.
Overall I would give Angie’s Oyster Bar & Grill the following rating: Food: 4.5/5 Space & Ambience: 4/5 Service: 4/5
Overall, it was a pleasant steak lunch at Boeuf Restaurant in Telok Ayer, Singapore. Since it was happy hour we also had beer ($10) with our meal. Cheers!
The Place Located in Telok Ayer Street, Boeuf restaurant has been around for a few years but I only managed to check it out recently last month. The steakhouse restaurant occupies a two storey shophouse space with an elegant interior design. Level one of the restaurant exudes a buzzing dining ambience, while level two is slightly cosier especially if you managed to snag the tables right beside the window.
Boeuf Singapore is a restaurant renowned for its expertise in serving delectable dry-aged beef and Beef Tartare dishes located on Telok Ayer Street
Barramundi not bad.
While Sarnies does fantastic sandwiches, their dinner options were terribly mediocre. The concept was great, and the menu sounded real tempting, but the execution was found wanting.
Tasty, Value For Money Brunch & Good Coffee Overall: 7 Ambience & Setting: 6 Food & Beverage: 7 Service: 5 Value for Money: 7 Spent about SGD $27 per person
The Populus Coffee & Food Co. has a fairly extensive cafe menu and serves good coffee as well as exquisite teas and artisanal hot chocolate.
I feel super good when I eat such a pancake cos 1) it tastes nice 2) I feel like I deserve it 3) I need to stop the hunger pangs but I sometimes regret a teensy bit after because I get too full!
I loved the seasonging of the chicken and the house special ranch dressing coated the crunchy fried chicken provided saucey comfort!
Nestled in the vibrant Club Street, Singapore, Le Bon Funk Club Street has been opened since 2018 and I only managed to check it out recently for dinner. With one other outlet in Holland Village, the Club Street outlet is the OG and the space and interior exudes a chic and trendy ambience. This is one of the concepts under The Lo & Behold Group which is also behind Odette, Claudine and one of the trendiest concepts in 2023, casual Italian restaurant Fico.
Instead of saying Barnsley Chop ($39), which is imported from New Zealand and not Barnsley, they should have written “Barnsley Lamb Chops.”
Dessert was a mousse-y chocolate cake with crème anglaise and a sprinkle of warm spices.
Though prices at Common Man Stan isn’t cheap, for the quality and taste versus price, service and ambience, I am willing to pay the premium.
Well, it turns out that there was booth seating in the back, complete with full table service. And the food was pretty good too, featuring a lot of fresh, local ingredients that were seasoned just right, making me very happy with that Veggie Wonderland plate above.
I'll highly recommend this cafe for a coffee or even breakfast and I heard they also have a late afternoon high tea set.
Good Spanish food at Kulto, cosy dining vibes and if you are looking to try a new Spanish restaurant, Kulto is worth a shot.
My favourite dish of the evening was this slab of dessert made with a layer of sponge, Whisky-infused Chantilly Cream and egg yolk ganache.
What made it worthwhile to order dessert at Kulto was that they were served with coffee. The coffee was strong and we liked the taste of it.
It is definitely amongst the top, that’s for sure. And perhaps, even better than the various other best restaurants Restaurant Andre shared accolades with. And despite the price, I am sure to say, I will return again; without a doubt.
The food intrigued and tantalised the palate. The service was excellent. We finished dinner in a great frame of mind.
22 reviews of Restaurant ANDRE "Been meaning to write a review about Andre now for one hell of a long while. This is probably the easiest 3 Michelin Star to give in Singapore. Everything about it is...perfect! From the setting, to the food, to…
Monument Lifestyle at Duxton is unlike the typical cafe in a hipster enclave or a swanky cafe in a mall. The interior is visually engaging and the place has personality.
I quite liked my Chipotle Chicken sandwich (S$14) and latte (S$6.50) even if things were on the pricier side!
The vibe is great here and I would certainly be back for more coffee and the teas they have to offer.
Food at Park Bench Deli is American and Italian cuisine, with a focus on sandwiches. Head Chef Matt Kuhnemann and Senior Chef Ben Phoon lead the kitchen, serving consistently well-executed plates that pack bold flavours.
I heartily recommend coming after 11am and braving the queue to get your fix, because their grilled cheese and lemon ricotta pancakes are a combo that will make your day all that much better.
Most of the menu was rather meat-heavy, so I went for one of the few meatless options available
